Volo chuckles, “Well.... almost all yours. That’s why I popped by, if you’ve found the place to be satisfactory I can arrange for a magistrate to oversee the handover of the deed. The place itself is just the start, this is a great neighbourhood, with some lovely business owners nearby, you must meet them! ” 

“Haha, oh ghosts, yes they say there are ghosts all over Waterdeep it has been a spot for civilisations going back aeons. Here in particular there were the troll attacks, hence the name. You say you saw a ghost here, or a fairy? That is very interesting indeed...” 

Lyss

"Ghost," Kerri says again. "I've never heard of fairies living in houses."

"Nooo... didn't see anything, but there was some glass flung about that wasn't Spark's doing, and then someone turned on the tub upstairs and plugged the drain, so water came leaking all down it, so someone's playing tricks. We searched the whole place and didn't see anyone. So... ghost, fairy -they like playing tricks-, or someone who is better at sneaking than we are at spotting... that's the catch, isn't it? I KNEW IT!"

She jabs a finger at him and gives him an adorably fierce glare.

"There's some sort of prankster thing that lives here and that's why a place as awesome as this got all run down and dirty! And YOU knew it all along."

Volo scratches his beard, backing away. “Haha, if there is a ghost, I certainly didn’t know. At least you survived a nights sleep in there so it can’t be as bad as they say.... I mean as bad as you think. I must rush off, I have business to attend to, I’ll set up the meeting yes.” 

"Bye Volo! Thanks for the house, pastry and ghost!"

Volo heard someone calling him a rather rude word from one of the back rooms, accompanied by somehow more sinister banging.

Lyss gives him a look as he retreats, her glower a bit spoiled by her munching on a pastry.

After he's gone, "He totally knew there was something up with this place. The deed and ownership is otherwise WAAY more than he owed us, but it's probably a property he's tried to sell and couldn't get any buyers for. We'll just have to turn it to our advantage. I've got a house for the first time in a long time, I'm not just gonna give it up."

Frowning, she licks the last of the pastry from her fingers and plants her fists on her hips, calling out as loud as she can.

"HEY! GHOST OR WHATEVER! I'M TALKING TO YOU! THIS IS OUR PLACE NOW, YOU CAN EITHER BE A WHOLE HECK OF A LOT NICER, OR YOU CAN GET OUT OF HERE! I DON'T GOT A PROBLEM WITH GHOSTS THAT AREN'T BEING JERKS! And if you're a fairy instead, I like playing tricks too, we should work together and play them on other people!"

Lyss’s proposition is met only with silence. 

It’s a lovely warm morning, and you are nice and full of pastries, though you’ve eaten a lot of pastry in a very short time. Did anybody have any plans with what to do with their day? What’s Spark working on? Anything you want to do at the manor, or in the neighbourhood? Anyone you’d like to speak to that you met over the last night?

"Bah, probably nothing here. Oh! I forgot in all the excitement, but a flying snake brought this note here this morning."

“Want to be part of something big? Talk to Davil Starsong at the yawning portal.”

"Anyone know who that is? I've never heard the name before."

Aimee shakes her head,

"Nope, but it's a great name! Flying snake? Did you catch it? I'm going to clean EVERYTHING!"

She's happy to clean the whole house unless someone stops her.

Then she will say,

"We she say hi to our new neighbors!"

"Mister Volo said the pastries were from just around the corner! We've a house, and after last night, I'm loaded with pastry money, we can eat pastries 'til we puke if we want! But that'd make a mess, and I don't want to make more of a mess than there already is here...", Lyss says responsibly.

Lyss recognises the name, but is unsure of why. 

(Who’s going to check in on the neighbours then?)

((Lyss might nose about, just to get the lay of the area, but wouldn't approach any of the neighbors without some of the others being there. She'd also be interested in checking out the basement (don't think we did that last night?) if she has company.))

Aimee would go check out the basement too, cleaning as she goes.

Lyss lights up the lantern so the basement can be explored.

"After this, do we want to go check out the neighborhood?"

"Yeah! Basement then neighbors!"

The basement is incredibly dusty, casks of ale seem to have burst all over the place leaving splinters all over he sticky floor. The wine cellar is fairly well stocked, although you dread to imagine what the contents of the bottles would taste like.

"Hmmm, maybe Spark can do something with these?"

Lyss will snag a few bottles to hand off to Uncle Spark. "I don't know if the wine's any good, the rest of the place was pretty trashed, but maybe you can do something awesome with it? Like make 'em explode?"

"We should go meet our neighbors though! C'mon! I'm hungry for another pastry!"

"Oohhhh! Let's give a bottle to our neighbors!"

"Ooo! Great idea Aimee! Kind of a 'welcome us to the neighborhood' present!"

Lyss returns from the cellar with more bottles in hand.

"Kerri! Spark! We're going out to meet the neighbors if you want to come!"
