Trollskull Alley is much more lively in the daytime. A bakery opposite the Tavern with a sign saying “Patties Pastries” has a large queue, with children tugging at their parents hands in excitement. With a small walk around the alley you find a shop with a plain wooden sign with one bent nail sticking out of it, “Corellons crown” and “Steam and Steel” which you saw last night are still open. A woman tentatively steps out orange and black signed building that you passed last night. Around he corner there is a bookstore called Book Wyrms Treasure featuring a gold dragon curled around books and scrolls on its sign.
(Aimee and Lyss are meeting the neighbours, what are Spark and Kerri’s plans?)
((The Tavern is a ground floor business with upper floor residences, do any of the other building seem similar, or is the rest of the Alley zoned for commercial space?))

It’s a bit of a hodgepodge, there’s no place as large as your Tavern though. Most businesses have residentials above, the actual alley is the back for most businesses which face out to the roads surrounding, but it is kept quite nicely and people pass through there, with a few of the businesses having their back doors open or little stalls, there are a couple of market stalls set up in the actual alley seemingly run by a few of the residents. A few children have set up lemonade stands and a halfling is selling slices of spitroast boar from the back of their house. You know the area to be slightly more cosmopolitan than the rest of the north ward, with the terraces houses around here being built to house the staff of the lesser nobles who don’t have enough space for live-ins. Though many of the houses are still used for this purpose, there had been an influx of young professionals moving to the area recently, and the area has become a little bit of a trendy spot.
As you burst through the doors, the familiar smell of old books enchants Aimee. Two stories of are filled with more books than should be possible to hold, nestled on hardwood shelves. At the counter, a gold dragonborn looks up from his book, removing his reading glasses as he smiles warmly. “Hello there, first time customers I see. Please feel free to browse, our trove of knowledge would shame Ohgma! Is there anything in particular you are looking for?”
Meanwhile, at Trollskull Manor, Spark is working away when a whimsical knock is heard at the door. “Hello there, is this the residence of one....Spark?”
"Hi! Who is Oggyma? I'm Lyss, this is Aimee, and that's Kerri! We just moved into the neighborhood! Here, have some wine!"
She plunks a dusty bottle on the counter.
"This place is great, you've got sooooo many books! We have to make sure our library isn't going to leak any more before we get any new books of our own."
"Don't be silly Lyss! Ohgma was the god of the temple that I lived in and you sometimes snuck into! He has more books but your books are here and his aren't! I'm Aimee! I just got a house, that one over there, and need a library!"
She eagerly inspects the books for fun titles and colorful bindings.
"Oh, right. That guy! Say, what's your name? How long have you been here at this shop? What's your favorite book? Mine is whatever one Aimee reads to me. She does the voices and everything!"

The Dragonborn chuckles at the enthusiasm of these youngsters. “Well, well. It is a joy to have such young Book Wyrms with us. I am Rishaal, the owner of this shop and I suppose that means I’m your new neighbour. I don’t have a favourite book, as there are too many wonderful titles to choose from, hence why I’ve surrounded myself with all sorts of literature. Where did you say you moved into again?”
As Lyss scans the shelves, she is fascinated by such titles as “Fantastic Yeasts and where to find them” , “The Joy of hooking : a Fishermans tale.” and “ The Fault in our Stairs” there are sections on history, cookbooks and other hobby guides, books on the occult, tales of adventurers past and fictional stories too. Many of the books are very old, though there are some newer entries. Volo’s guide to Waterdeep is on the shelves too. Most impressive of all, are the thick tomes behind he counter adorned with arcane symbols.
Rishaal smiles proudly, “These tomes are my spellbooks, they are not for sale. I do let aspiring mages copy spells from them, for a small charge, as long as you are registered with the watchful order of magists and protectors.”
On hearing that you’ve taken over the Tavern, his eyes widen. “I see... so old Volo gave up on it then. He was trying to get me to invest in his foray into ghost guides. I have found that his literature has taken a sharp decline as of late, his research on the subject was severely lacking. Have you found the rumours of haunting to be true!”
"Oh, wow, spellbooks! You have magic in BOOKS?! Can I see? Please? I'll be really good, no touching! I'll be so very, very careful!", she looks to Kerri with a winning smile.
"What's the Watch Order of Magitectors?"
"Yeah, we saved his Floon, and he owed us, so he gave us a house! That worked out great, cause Aimee and I were homeless, but now we've got a home, and Kerri too! She's our grown up. Uncle Spark is kindof a grown up, but I don't know if he knows that. So there are ghosts? We heard stuff, and there was a glass that threw itself, and the water turned on, but we searched all over and couldn't find who did it! What did he want to do with ghost guides, he was kind of busy when I asked him about all the stuff we saw and didn't saw last night. Do you have any books about ghosts? Or home improvement guides? There's a lot of work that needs doing."

"Books! Let's go look at the books! This place is great! Trolls and dragons!"
She heads of to the book store and takes a deep breath when she goes in.
"Okay! They will probably be particular about forts and stuff. We should be good so they don't kick us out and not let us back in."
"Or at least do it when they aren't looking."
