As you travel back through the alley the sun is setting - late as it is in the summers of Waterdeep. As you reach the stairs, you notice a glow of moonlight casting long shadows of the barred window across the unexplored dead end. Moonlight coming from inside a room shining out.
The room is easily secured with the bar, and you are able to rest well amongst the plush furnishings. (Long rest aok)
Aimee eyes the goodberries but restrains herself before plopping down somewhere soft and falling into an instant, twitchy sleep. Her hands open and close as she sleeps if anyone is awake to watch and her permanent smile subsides into a slight curve at the edges of her lips. She also talks in her sleep occasionally throwing out a few words.
Cico resumes his meditation, slipping comfortably back into his earlier lotus pose. He lets his brain race for awhile as it tries to sort through the over abundance of sensations it’s experienced today. As it processes, the noise in his head starts to settle and he’s able to refocus and find an inner calm he was in danger of losing.
After four hours of meditation he unfolds himself and double checks the door is still secure.
He listens to some of the words Aimee says in her sleep but he can make no sense of them.
The little ones were more powerful than they appeared. If they survived their youth they could become important to this realm.
He takes out a piece of dried hard rations from his pack and begins chewing on it.
When Aimee awakens and asks after food he offers her the dried tack.
”We should move quickly today. I did not come to Waterdeep to spend so much time in alleys.”
Cico fishes around here n his pack and finds a piece of jerky. He looks at it carefully for a moment, his index finger tapping rapidly. Eventually he look at Lyss and passes it over to her.
”Chew before swallowing.” Cico says. “I don’t want to waste food if you’re going to choke.”
After waking Edvord pulls Aldrik aside the mage quietly speaks to his brother, "I would suggest keeping your opinion of and intentions towards the man who constructed this place to yourself... there are quite a few servants roaming these halls and the walls likely have ears... and who knows even the most unreliable of connections may sometimes bear fruit."
The mage opens his pack for food and realizes he brought none. The man silently closes it back up, choosing to wait until the group exits this labyrinth to search for a street vendor. His stomach rumbles.
Towards the group Edvord speaks, "Let us return to the hall with the boggles. There were quite a few interesting doors... and I believe a few have yet to be opened... this statute must be somewhere."
Cico watches Lyss chew for a few moments, not entirely convinced she won't choke on her jerky just to amuse Aimee.
Then he nods at Edvord's statement.
"Yes, there were doors with markings on them we can still look behind." Cico says as he unbars the door to the room they're in and pushes it open, looking out into the hall before proceeding.
Aldrik glances at Lyss, and her lack of shadow, and sets his eyes to Edvord. "You know me, brother. I'll keep myself subtle and sly, especially when it concerns someone who causes pain and suffering for fun..."
He stretches, and looses up with a half-sword routine, a flowing exercise that lets him practice his footwork and positioning of the massive blade in close quarters. He reslings the greatsword and returns to the rest of the group, nodding. "Back to it, then."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Cico watches Aldrik swing the large sword around as he practices. Cico watches with some curiosity to see if he will accidentally injure anyone in doing so. But the big noble does appear to have skill in using the weapon. Cico nods and then moves out the door.
If everyone is ready to leave, Cico continues along through the alley, retracing their steps back to the hallway they were in, returning to the door with the the twisting pattern with yellow tiles at its centre.
He looks quickly for any traps and if none are found, pushes the door open.
As you pass back you notice that all the rooms are exactly ad you left them, the hallways littered with dead boggles.
The door does not seem trapped, and opening it reveals a room with a beautiful panorama painted across it’s walls. It appears to be of funeral rites, priests of separate faiths, some dressed in white, others in black, join in their rituals about a dozen mages watch from afar. Inscribed on the wall, in a familiar blue font are the words “GET THROUGH”. The floor has a path painted in it, twisting and turning around the room before it ends at a door in the north.

In the morning she stretches and says,
"I feel better! Who has breakfast? We can go back to that room with a table where the statue was, it maybe has breakfast?"

"Do you have some more, Mister Cico?"
