As you make it back to the Manor, a halfling in bright fashionable dress passes you just outside the stairs to the back door. He tips his hat as he walks on by.

Aimee bumps the halfling,
"He is a pretty solid ghost! Hi Mr. Ghost, I'm Aimee!"
((Aimee would mostly just tag along with Lyss and read the book on ghosts and home repair if she had time. The rest can wait for after the pepper problem.))
The halfling grabs Aimees arm as she tries to bump him, “Now, now, let’s keep some decorum here. I’m no ghost, just visiting your friend. J.B. Nevercott is the name, and haberdashery’s the trade. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some errands to run.” He let’s go of Aimee’s arm taking a bow as he makes his way into he crowd.

As Lyss attempts a careful lifting, with the skill of somebody who does this maybe a little too often, her hand is batted away. “Nice little trick there, would have fooled somebody less vigilant than I. I’m sure Spark will benefit from your help in the task I’ve given him.” He smiles at the trio, “Oh, I’m sure you’ll be seeing a little more of me.” He chuckles as he leaves.

Lyss sucks on her knuckles as she watches him leave. "Hmmm. Sounds like Uncle Spark's got a job too. Guess we should go talk to him."
She heads in, skipping up to where Spark is working.

"Spark! We met a dragonman who sells books, and we're officially in his club, and he named us Book Wyrms, and we have a job taking out a pepper man... no wait, it was helping a pepper man, with some sort of problem, then he'll vouch for us and teach me magic and everything!"
