And so the night comes to the close. Despite the fact that times have been tough, it is reassuring to have this little group as well as he major confidence boost of escaping from the prince of demons. The night is livelier than usual and some of you may even find yourself laughing and happy for the first time in a long while.
Eventually, sleep comes, but so does the morning. Before you know it, it is time to continue your journey to reach Stool’s home. The boat pushes off as Thodek and Voyage assume position at the head of the ship, navigating through the Darklake.
At the moment, the party is traveling 8 hours a day and resting 8 hours a day. That leaves 8 more hours to work with what you would like. I would say a short rest (1-2 hours) would allow someone to refresh their ability to row another shift. Let me know what you would like to do with that extra time.
Other than that, I need a navigation survival check from Thodek and foraging check from Nicholas with advantage due to help from Cailean.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gradually Nicholas returns to normal and begins to make small talk with the rest once more as they travel. He continues to search for any edible plants or creatures that could supplement their diet.
Thodek through the help of Voyage is able to keep the party on the right path. Unfortunately however, Nicholas has a tough time find food. He is only able to find a total of 4 lbs of assorted fish.
So here is what I am thinking the new schedule is. 8 hours of straight rowing (2 shifts) before taking a two hour short rest. The party then takes a third shift of 4 hours before resting for 10 hours. Does that work?
Needless to say, about halfway through the second shift of rowing, a female voice begins to echo through the narrow caverns of the Darklake. In undercommon, you can hear a young woman crying out. “Help, help! Is anyone there?”
As you continue down the passage, it begins to get louder. You begin to reach a bend in the cavern, and based on your estimations, the voice is coming from around the corner.

(I'm fine with that schedule too.)
Syvis keeps rowing toward the voice. Not wanting to leave anyone in danger if they can help but really not wanting any more surprises or traps, her eyes narrow as she attempts to discern the sincerity of the plea.
Insight: (I'll roll separately since she normally gets advantage but I don't know if it would be cancelled out since she's only working off of sound rather than body language, etc.) 9 / 9
Thodek. You would recognize this voice. It sounds like a female duergar. She sounds young, though the voice is hoarse and getting weaker. Syvis however can’t figure out much. It seems sincere to you.
Any final actions before you encounter whoever this is?

As soon as the boat turns the bend, Voyage is at the prow, scanning for the female duergar and more importantly, whatever danger she seems frightened of.
The boat begins to round the corner and as the next part of the passageway, you see a small sandy inlet similar to the one you rested on the previous night. In this sandy area, you see a young female duergar. She wears tattered clothes over her sallow skin and rail thin body, and looks around erratically. “Hello, is anyone there?” She calls out before breaking into a fit of coughing. “I... I need water... and food.” Run ashore in the small inlet you see a small makeshift raft and a skinny stick beside it.
Despite the fact that you are now about 30 feet away, she does not seem to entirely acknowledge your presence. Tattoos— those very similar to ones on Thodek— are scattered across her entire body, and upon closer inspection, her eyes seems to have a cloudy grey film covering them.
Syvis grabs rations and gets ready to jump to shore as soon as they reach the sand, assuming she doesn't see anything that would indicate danger.
Perception: 18
*If* she senses danger, she'll quietly slip off the back of the boat, under the water, and swim to the raft, only bringing her eyes above the surface once there.
The duergar’s head turns and perks at the sound of your voice. “Yes! Help me, thank you.” She seems to follow Syvis’ soft footsteps before reaching out for the food. She grasps it in animalistic frenzy, and immediately begins to shove it into her mouth, no regard for swallowing. Syvis, looking around, you do not se any immediate danger. In fact, the area is quiet and peaceful.
After a minute or two of eating and gulping water down, the woman shakily stands up. She reaches her hands out, feeling for someone. Eventually, she comes to Syvis, giving out a small smile. “So you are my savior,” she says, her voice with some returned strength. “Tell me, how do you know I have been exiled?”
"That would be the divine perspicacity of my compatriot." Syvis says in her usual flat monotone as she takes the woman's hand and motions for Thodek to come over.
"But tell me, what is your name and how did you find yourself in such a remote place as this?"

Thodek will take a moment to lay a hand on Voyage's shoulder and whispers a short prayer to Mordin for guidance.

Thodek nods to the group and starts rowing closer, "We're here, lass. We've got some food and water to spare. Why were you outcast?"
Voyage looks confused about what is happening, but Thodek's nod reassures her and she stays at the prow of the ship, staring at the girl, hard.
Nicholas would carefully reach for his pistol, and keep a wary eye on this female duergar they are approaching..
