One more thing that slipped my mind. Blurg would still be with the party. He would be mostly silent, seemingly out of his element in such a social/festive environment. If asked or presented with food and drink, he would happily take it and dig in.
Shishlaki: Blurg is a large Orog in gold gilded robes with a small set of spectacles and a pair of tusks poking out from his lower lip.
Shishakli sits down at the table next to Nicholas, still very curious about this man from Outer Space who speaks his peoples' tongue. At this point though he's happy to have a drink and quietly watch and listen, eager to learn more about who he will be guiding, trying to get a measure on what skills they bring, as well as what weaknesses they have while traveling.
About 10 minutes later, Thorna also brings out dinner consisting of a gray filet of fish and lump of spiced grits. A mug of ale also accompanies each meal—Everyone digs in with smiles.
If there is anything else to discuss or RP as the night passes, now would be the time. If not, I will assume we are good to go and will move on to the next morning.
Nicholas would smile at Shishakli as he takes a seat and speaks to him in gnomish, "My good friend who was also my mentor was a gnome as well. He was a rock gnome and a marvel at all sorts of invention. I was separated when I was brought here by the drow but hopefully we will be able to reunite in the future. I'll be glad to tell you my adventures another day, but come let's drink to a new friendship tonight."
(Am ok to move on to the next morning as well)

Eventually the night of festivities reaches its close as the inn becomes less and less crowded. Slowly, each member of the group retires to their room for night, and everyone is able to get a restful nights sleep (in an actual bed!!). (Shishalki, I already accounted for you staying in the inns first room, so no need to worry about that.)
Each of you wake naturally, and are able to get a complementary breakfasts before preparing to meet up with Baror again. Heading out the door, Vin Badur is already buzzing with activity as traders are already beginning to make their rounds through the town.
Is there any preparation or RP to take care of before once again speaking with Baror? What would you like to do? (I will continue with a new post in the morning detailing the start of the encounter).
The group easily makes their way back to the temple, Flamekeep, and knocking on the door, a hooded acolyte opens it. They usher you in, and gesture to Baror who stands at the altar, head down in some sort of prayer. This goes on for a couple more seconds before he looks up and turns to the group.
“Ah, hello there. I trust your night went well? Tell me, what do you think of Vin Badur?” he asks “Have you had any time to explore the town?”
What would you like to do? (Let me know if Shishalki would have joined the group for this conversation.)
At breakfast Thodek would ask around the others, curious about whether they needed any supplies while they were here. During the meeting with Baror, he'd keep the the rear of the group with his head down again.
After a quiet breakfast and checking his maps and gear, Shishakli follows the group watching the traders around the streets to see if there is anything else he might need to pick up on his way. Once they arrive at the temple however, he breaks from the group and simply finds an unlit area to disappear into a wait, saying, in Undercommon, as they head in, “Finish your business here. I shall wait and then we may depart after.”
"The accommodations were sufficient and a welcome change. We have not had the opportunity to explore beyond the inn as exhaustion lead us to limit our activity. So far we find your town acceptable and welcoming. It would seem you have performed your role here most admirably."
“Thank you,” Baror says with a chuckle. “I am glad your stay has been satisfactory... now, for what we had discussed. I take it the child has not magically recovered overnight?” he says, pausing for several seconds.
“As I stated earlier, I would like to help in any way that I could. Gracklstugh would obviously be the first thought as I can guarantee that there are clerics and healers much more powerful than I there. They would most definitely be able to restore or resurrect the child. Now, I would be happy to cover any expenses you may require for a guide... this could allow for your group to travel safely while transporting the young myconid. Since... most of you... do not appear to be as familiar with the Underdark. What do you think?” Baror asks
"That is a most gracious offer. Do you have such a guide on hand and ready to leave? We must move quickly as we do not know the nature of our ward's malady. Who among your people would you recommend for such a task?"
“I may have someone in mind,” Baror says, becoming more serious. “Once they have been notified, I’m sure it wouldn’t take them very long to prepare. You could be off by midday at the latest. Let’s just say there is a friend of mine in the town who is very adept at traveling through the Underdark. If you would like, we can meet them first?”
Just at surface level, Syvis, it is difficult to tell what his motives are. You could see it being either way based on how Baror is acting.
Syvis: You sense that something is off with Baror. It is relatively easy to tell that his intention are not entirely honest based purely off of his compete change of attitude from last night. Beyond that, there isn’t much you can deduce.
"Your proposal is quite hospitable. I would not object. I must warn you, though. Our group is quite capable on our own and not the most welcoming to new, untested faces," Syvis says carefully. "Shall we meet this friend of yours, then?"
