Thavriol swallows the last of his mutton and carrot sandwich, washing it down with the last of his mead. "Aye, Peri, I remember. I think that'd be a good thing to do, by Tyr!" Clapping all on his friends on the shoulder, he continues, "I'll see you all here in a wink. I'm off to see Rissla." With that he strides off with a jaunty step, but his friends didn't fail to notice the tension in his shoulder, the tightness of his eyes. This mission had affected him more than the others had.
"I'm going to cover my rent for the week. let me know if something big goes down, ok?" Samael was just annoyed at the slimes. he was also a little perturbed at how Thav wasn't handling it so well.
could be different experiences; you see more (bonkers)(Crap) in the travels and deals of your boss.
Nolla sits at the bar, once again drowning her memories in cheap ale and trying to just get drunk enough not to have to think. She knows it is not the healthiest option, but, at least for now, just needs the numbness of ale.
((I've been a bit slow on forums, wrapping up end of summer term grading, but should be done within the next 24 hours and be able to catch up on stuff I've missed. Also, some of the NPC interactions you've had have been run by other DMs, so I'll have to dig in a bit to see where things were left. If you do have a link to the relevant post #, it would help me respond more quickly! I figured XP for the job to be ~750, so let's just call it 800? Looks like that leaves everyone ~400-900 XP away from level 5? No one is over the stress threshold, though I did a dubious job keeping track of it. Following their infections, it looks like Peri is at 12 and Nolla at 9. Samael is at 6 and Thav at 4. Probably underestimates, but it's what I've got!))

As any who are still milling about in town will notice one evening as they go to enter the tavern, a notice has been placed near the entrance. Fine paper with brilliant penmanship and a wax seal at the bottom of the notice reveal its origin from the nobles of the court about Trishdale. It reads:
"It has come to my attention that some adventurers journeyed to an old library outside of town recently. I consider myself a historian of sorts, and have read tales of such a place. There is tale of a wonderfully rare item held in the library's vaults. I would have you acquire it for me, for a handsome fee of course. Find me at the Trishdale courts and I shall tell you more.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Peri finds his way to the church, bowing to Mother Superior as he enters.
"Good to see you again, Mother. I was planning to cloister here for a time- would it be all right if I constructed a shrine to the halfling gods and Cyrolallee by the hearth? nothing large, just- something to keep my hands busy."
He cloisters as his primary task this week, spending 8 gold to build the shrine, healing 23 stress. I do not want to snap, lol.
I'll post secondary activities later.
PS. -3 to the amount of stress healed, it's plus 5 not plus 8. should still be more than enough.

Thank you...what do we get stress for? Thav only missed the 1 stress roll? Also, how do we get rid of stress?
((Stress happens when bad things happen to you all. There are things you can do in town to clear stress, there should be a list somewhere, seems Murfle is familiar with it, I helped back and forth with the DMs when this was all set up, but don't think I handled any of their clearance in town, so apologies that I don't know what I'm doing!))

((You may have different numbers from what's in the spreadsheet I was looking at, I see Nolla at 4850 before, so 5650 after, level 5 is at 6500. If the 4850 was outdated, then I suppose it does!))

(Yep she was at 6050 before this one, I have been in a few games on here with her now, so not all with this group. Does that affect her being able to continue on with these guys though?)

I'm sorry but same numbers as what? Also, I was mis-playing the stress. I thought it disappeared after a week of rest so with Thav at 4, he'll have to work at getting it reduced. I'll make a post shortly.
Thavriol trudges into the tavern the next morning. His armor and weapons are well-polished but it's clear something is weighing on him. The night with Rissla had been good but he knew he was nowhere near his best...and he needed to fix that. Going to the bar, he ordered some tea and a rasher of trencher of the morning stew. While waiting for the stew to arrive, he looked at the bar tender, plucked up his courage, and said,
"I'm not doing so well. I know there be places in the city that can help with the stress of...what we face out there, but I've not needed any help a'fore. Can you point me the the right direction?"
ooc: The rules say there are places in town that can help get rid of stress, though they don't say how much or how much you lose after a long rest.
((It's been a while since I've thought about the stress relief in town stuff, so I'll have to take a look through the DM resource documents. Also, Spielt is too busy to alternate, so you'll have me again, not sure if there is anyone else still around, player-wise? The library job was one of theirs, so I'd rather not take that up, as I'm not sure what they had planned.))
