Qinfaren doesn't like the looks of that sphere and the damage it can do, but he suspects that taking care of the witch might put an end to the ball of energy as well.
He grips his staff behind his shield, concentrates on the mistletoe there, and then throws his free hand out, saying "flamma ferrum" at the same time.
A scimitar of flames erupts in his hand as he steps forward and slashes it down at the old woman.
Qinfaren attacks the witch with his flame blade, and she feels its searing heat penetrate her flesh.
Just then, the colossal skeleton of the frost giant bursts into the room. It is too far away to swing at anyone with its great axe. However, Shad does feel the skeleton staring at him with its icy blue, glowing eyes.
(Shad, make a DC13 Constitution saving throw or take 32 cold damage and be paralysed until the end of your next turn.)
The witch whips her head round to stare at Shad, he feels the darkness of her magic tugging at his mind.

Shad stares back at the witch and keeps her dark magic from his mind, but his old enemy the cold threatens to sap all his health.
Mirror Image roll to determine if Shad or a duplicate was targeted by the skeleton: 4 or, if the skeleton would not be affected by Mirror Image, Shad' first death save: 10
"Shad!" yells Arogna, looking around at the giant, then at Qinfaren and Bjorn. "We gotta get outa here quick!"
She steps back to the fallen tabaxi [AOO from witch if she has her reaction] and scoops him up under one arm, then races towards the exit (Action: Dash, total 40ft of movement. Rage has ended)

"Does it hurt the villagers?" Qinfaren asks "Or are they just being greedy?"
Qinfaren isn't sure they'll talk the witch down, but it might buy some time.
"Let me make sure my friend over there is okay while we talk please." Qinfaren says.
He waves a hand at Shad, where Arogna is holding him 40' away, and says "sanitatem verbo."
Bonus Action: Casts Healing Word on Shad, healing 2 HP.
Qinfaren doesn't dismiss his flaming blade, but he doesn't attack with it either. He holds it ready to attack the witch if the sphere or any one else attacks the group before they finish talking (Attack: 14 Damage: 8 fire damage).
"Shad! You alright?" Arogna says quietly. "D'you wanta get down?"
"Qinfaren!" she says more loudly. "Tell her we don't want her pot! It's had people in it!" While she does so, Arogna keeps moving towards the exit, looking over her shoulder. "We're jus' gonna get some... fresh air for Shad!"
Assuming he knows the sources of the healing, he says "Thank you, Qinfaren."
He looks up at the woman and the skeleton. "I would like to get down, yes," he says. He steadies himself with one hand against at wall and watches and listens.
(OOC: Sorry I went out of turn. Here's the WIS save, if needed: 18.)
Death on the Water and Baldur's Gate Bodyguard
(Sphere, Bjorn, Qinfaren, Skeleton, Witch, Shad, Arogna)
Shad attacks with his spiritual weapon. However, the witch sees it coming and avoids the attack. He then creates his three duplicates.
Arogna then strikes the witch with her war hammer dealing a mighty blow.
The glowing sphere then swoops down at Arogna, attacking her with a lightning bolt.
(Attack: 14 Damage: 7)
(Bjorn wis: 5)
Bjorn then shoots an arrow from his longbow at the glowing sphere.
(Attack: 19 Damage: 11)
Before telling Blue to "attack the witch."
Blue infuses Arogna's attack with 6 fire damage.
Blue then follows Bjorn's orders and swoops down to bite the witch.
(Attack: 13 Damage: 2 piercing damage + 3 fire damage.)

It is currently waiting to see what happens but flies over to Qinfaren.

"Why would they want your cooking pot?" Qinfaren asks the witch. "If you stop cooking the villagers in it they might not get so worked up."
(OOC: What are Bjorn and the skeleton doing? Are they watching like the sphere?)

(Qinfaren and the witch are talking - don’t think a round has passed for Shad to have another death save yet).
