The cultist is easily dispatched, exploding into a tentacled mess, and dying.
This room is just like the first altar room. The cultists are surely aware of your presence. Be on your guard. Stranglely, however, this altar does not contain the glossy black stones or a brass censer. From here, you can see AREA 1-4 which leads back to the stairway of the pit. From here, you can go to 1-12, or go back outside to 1-4 and take your chances on the outside steps again.
Oliver eyes the altar warily before assessing the group's options. "I'm not for heading back to those stairs. I vote we proceed that way (pointing toward 1-12)."
Dirk, absently-mindedly wiping his axe blade clean on the remains of the tentacle cultist, nods. "We came to explore not run away..." he pauses, offering a wink to Oliver. "This time, at least."
The massive blacksmith warily moves forward, axe readied for the next cultist target.

AREA 1-13
This tiny chamber is barely 5 feet wide on all sides with a low ceiling. You observe something very strange: there is a puddle on the ceiling, and water slowly drips from the floor to the ceiling, filling the puddle drop by drop.
Suddenly quite nervous, Red quickly backs out of the room and heads back up the stairs. "This room gives me the creeps....and feels like a trap about to be sprung. Let's skedaddle!"

Dirk pauses in the doorway, shifting his axe to his shield hand and drawing out a dart. He motions his head for everyone else to move back. "Let's try something first." The blacksmith tosses his dart toward the puddle on the ceiling.

"Very interesting..." Wilma says, taking notes of the water dripping the wrong direction. "Can someone please step in there and see what happens?" She suggests, clearly interested in seeing the result of that action.
"Nope." Hank says, not about to be the first to try that one out.
You take the dart, can feel the water dripping upward, but nothing else happens. It's an anomaly, as if space and time work differently in this one very particular spot. It's very creepy.

The dart follows gravity as you know it and hits the puddle on the ceiling, then clatters to the ground as it should.
Nothing else happens.
Dirk shrugs, turning to the others before resting his gaze on Red. "Trapsmith, should I get the dart or is it a trap?"
