Galius is a bit surprised from your sudden appearance Thalion. As he is about to mouth off about lack of organization and things related to that he stops himself and simply says “Glad to have you here with us, Thalion. Take position, and prepare for the worst.”
As he says this, he hears your words Dek.
”Dek you seem to know what you’re doing, I trust you to help me guide our squad during the siege. Especially if I am unable to do so.”
Thalion nods and then turns his attention towards the incoming invaders. He caresses the hilt of the rapier on his hip with one hand and the lute strapped to his back with the other. "For glory, for honor" he whispers to himself as he begins to briskly make his way towards a part of the wall where a ladder might end up being placed.
Ereina looks at the tiefling who has just arrived. "At least you showed up before the fighting started," she said and waved him across to the wall. "You have anything to take them out from a distance?"
Thalion nods his head at the halfling. "Unfortunately my longbow broke and couldn't be fixed in time before the invasion," Thalion looks down at the advancing invaders before continuing "but if someone could lend me one or if there was somewhere I could get one..." his voice trailing off as he begins to look around for a bow and some arrows that he could use.
Arson grins down at the yuan-ti invaders below her and yells "Roast snakey snacks for dinner!" And creates a little burning flame in her hand. You can see she is still creeped out by the snakes, but is more excited to kill them.

Dek looks at Galius with a look of minor shock, surprised to have been though off so highly by the sergeant. "Aye aye cap...sergent! Me do best." A look of determination quickly replaces the shock and he nods in the affirmative as he turns back to the approaching enemy and the tasks at hand. It's good to be part of a crew again.

The tromping of heavy, booted feet catches your attention. The sound comes from the left you see a fairly large dwarf jogging up to your group. His chain mail clinks faintly as he moves and under his helmet you see sharp, bright brown eyes. He carries a variety of weapons, including a maul and his movements have a similarity to the soldiers you've seen.
When he arrives, he nods familiarly to Sergeant Gailus. "Been a while, Sergeant. Captain Kylwyn told me this'd be the best spot for me. Sorry I'm late." He run a professional, appraising eye over you all, nodding in approval. His eyes narrow a bit on Arson, catching her underlying gaiety, but says nothing. Moving up to the wall, he cautiously glances over the crenellations at the approaching Yuan-ti.
"Damn, but I hate these reptilian pukes! When they're all dead, I think I'll have me a nice belt of snake-skin and maybe some new boots to match." Turning back to the others, he continues. "Name's Gideon. I'm not here cause I love any of you or want to take long baths in warm water with any of you." I quick grin takes the sting from the words. "It's the city I love, and her people. And I'll kill, or die, to see them safe. Now...let's kill some snakes."
"Unfortunately my longbow broke and couldn't be fixed in time before the invasion," Thalion looks down at the advancing invaders before continuing "but if someone could lend me one or if there was somewhere I could get one..."
"And that makes six," Ereina says to herself as the dwarf arrives. Turning toward the tiefling she says, "Nothing to spare, I'm afraid. Unless the sergeant has something lying around, I suggest you find some way to either destroy those ladders or dislodge them as they come up to the walls."
The new voice catches Dek's attention and he turns to look at Gideon. Sizing up the dwarf he calls out a greeting before returning his attention to the approaching Yuan-ti, "Ahoy Gideon. Me Decker. Nice meet you."

If your insults were daggers they would cut through leather with ease. You yell at the invaders with a decent degree of volume. They are quite a distance away though, you can only hope they heard what you said about their mothers.
Galius heard you Ereina and he turns to look at Thalion. “Check the nest” he points at where the mounted crossbow is being readied. “I’m sure they got some spares, arrows too.”
Galius nods as you introduce yourself, Gideon “The Captain mentioned someone might show unexpectedly. Didn’t think it would be you. Glad to have you either way, Gideon.”

Gideon nods, clasps forearms with the Sergeant, then turns back to the walls, waiting for the invaders to get close enough to shoot.

They group with the ladders heading to your group’s part of the wall are about 300-350 feet away.
