Io decides that the simplest solution is sometimes the best. He steps forward while putting his shield away temporarily to get a better grip on his war hammer. He warns the revenant, "Hold still." He grips is war hammer with both hands and slowly brings the head closer and further in a striking motion to the holy symbol without making contact to gauge distance and take proper aim as he doesn't want to miss. He then winds back for more power before making a two-handed strike against the symbol.
The golden holy symbol, heated near melting by the heat metal spell, and now slammed with a hammer, does what any heated metal does, and is smashed. As it was not molten, but only heated up, it also cracks. With the force of the strike one piece breaks off and hits the floor.
There is a momentary pause, as you all look at the two pieces of the symbol. Then the x-captain lets out a soul-filled sigh and crumples to dust. The other part of the holy symbal falls to the ground.
Even as you take in the fact of the revenant's salvation the owl hoots to get its master's attention. Water is starting to flow down the well with the ladder, the clear indication that the tide is starting to come back in.
"Run, my friends!" Livilias shouts out, in a kind of anti-Gandalf scream. He dismisses Owlie from existence and back into it's pocket dimension while he himself starts pushing and urging everyone back the way they came in.
Livilias urges the most heavily armored amongst them to be the first ones up and out. He will be the last to go up, with some plans on how to get out if need be...
Kanlos Getting to the top, you find water flowing into the cave, and the water rising slowly. It will not take long to flood the well below. Nothing threatening is about though.
Xerronios As you climb out of the well, you feel your goddess's blessing filling you, her satisfaction clear at the work done here. A great wrong against destiny has been set to right. Your piety score is now 10 for Klothys’s.
Klothys’s Votary: You can cast clairvoyance with this trait, requiring no material components. Once you cast the spell in this way, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for this spell. In addition, you have advantage on saving throws against being charmed.

(Did Windlass ever detect anything with her detect magic spell?)
She examines the corpse of the pirate (investigation: 12), says a quick prayer to her goddess, and waits until everyone else has gotten up the ladder, helping with castings of shape water if needed. She can breathe water so she is not worried about the chamber getting filled. She then climbs up.
Upon reaching the top, Kanlos suddenly remembers something and turns back to the hole at the top, pulling two copper coins from his pouch and dropping them back down, "For Athreos and your passage to the other side."
Windlass There is nothing magical in this place. Searching the dust on the ground, all that remains of the x-pirate captain, you find nothing of use or interest.
Everyone flees the well, though Windlass is slower, being the last one out of the area. You all exit the cave, as it is filling up now as well, and return to the top of the path down into the lake. Moving to the start of the path back towards the beach you collect together to decide what to do next.
Livilias would summon Owlie from their pocket dimension and set them to flying off to scout for undead… “So, there’s that. Well done, my friends! Now… we leave this island, yea?”

The island is still upsidedown. As the owl flaps away, it has to go more than 200 feet to get past the reef, and see the beach itself. It takes the owl another bit to fly back into range, but it indicates all is clear. As you hike to the beach you find all of the undead are no longer animated. They are simply corpses now, or piles of bones, nothing more.
Anything you wish to do here prior to leaving the island?
Undoubtedlty Livilias wishes to go back to the hidden-hole he and Windlass had been using and collect as much of their gathered belongings as possible. In their time on the Island Livilias had been doing a bit of looting of the other shipwrecks and gathering some fine wines, aged whiskey and any trinkets or such which looked like they may be valuable. And with more hands and no rush due to undead patrols then perhaps he knows of bigger salvage that may be available and worthwhile?
If/while this is going on, Owlie would patrol the island more fully. Both in range but also in checking out and piles of bones or corpses that they see, looking to see if any carried anything which may be valuable, unique or worthwhile for collection...
((Not really expecting anything in game valuable, more just doing it for RP...))
Other than that, once he feels all is gotten that can be gotten, he is happy to get off this vile island.
Kanlos looks around a little nervously, "This island was a holy place of Erebos, used to punish that man below. We've already risked his wrath by ending the curse, I don't think we should risk it further by looting the place as well."

Do we see undead still moving around?
Is the island still upside down?

Io does not like this island and would be happy to get off it soon and get back to hunting for the covered up woman.
Kanlos would strongly advise against looting anything and would quickly begin leading the others back to the boat.
Xerronios looks at Kanlos strangely. "Why shouldn't we search for goodies?"

Io adds, "Kanlos is absolutely right. It is very unwise to touch the wealth that belongs to the god of the dead."
