The older woman that had called for your help initially comes to the window. Seeing the downed doctor, she will call out. "Hurry! Get him inside. That thing will be back!" She disappears from the window and just as quickly, the door to the building flies open and she reappears, waving everyone in.
Gale lets out a long sigh and flood of emotions as things calm down and Morgan is stabilized. His mind flashed briefly to his old squad being ambushed, but he shook the images quickly from his head and focused back on Morgan. We're not there, he thought to himself. He's still with us. Gale clapped a hand on Morgan's shoulder. "Maybe not so close next time doc," Gale said with a slight grin as he looked into Morgan's eyes and could see him slowly regaining consciousness.
Gale turned to see the other two approach the door and he knelt beside Morgan, weapons drawn just in case, but listening carefully to their conversations.

Cillian will scan the faces and the inside of the building for any ill intent or deception, instinctively not trusting the immediate word of strangers. Insight: 17 If what he reads from them is genuine concern and that they truly hope to help before the manticore returns, he will quickly move to help carry Dr. Morgan to the building ahead. As they move past her carrying his companion Cillian will quickly ask the woman,
“He still needs healing, he’s just barely stable. Do you think we have much time before the creature returns? If so I suggest we have some of our ranged fighters waiting at the windows for its return as Morgan comes back to us! And even better if the Doctor returns to us before the Manticore returns for an encore then even better! We can all just make a run for it in that instance then....Also Miss, does your name happen to be Adabra!?”
Cillian: The woman's concerns seem to be genuine, and as you all help Morgan get inside, you see that she is the only one in the building. In response to you she says.
"We have a little bit of time. It seems you hurt it quite a bit, so it won't be back until it rests."
She eyes Morgan up and down then quickly moves to a shelf filled with different jars, each filled with different ingredients. She grabs numerous jars and ingredients and mixes them together. Bringing the vial to Morgan she holds it up to his lips and begins to slowly pour it down his mouth.
"Swallow this, it'll make you feel better."
She will continue talking to the rest of the group.
"Thank you so much for your help. You couldn't of come at a better time. I really appreciate it."
Gale keeps a close watch outside the window in case the beast returns. What the hell was that, he asked himself as thinness beginning to calm down and he thinks back on his life just a few short days ago.
"Once Morgan rests a bit, we can escort you back to town if you'd like. And get him to a doctor." Gale adds as he continues staring out of the window.

The shining scroll returned, smaller this time, but shining all the brighter. As it became almost too brilliant to gaze upon, Morgan reached out and grabbed it. The light solidified and became a solid silver trinket and rested in the palm of his hand. As he gazed at it in wonder, Morgan suddenly woke up to a warm liquid trickling down his throat and there he was, back in the land of Manticores and Maidens.
"Wha...wha...what happened?" croaked Morgan, his voice slowly returning to normal as the concoction does its miraculous healing.

"Right, right," says Morgan, getting stronger by the second, amazed that his wounds seemed to be knitting themselves together. Pulling out a crumpled note, he adds, "You must be Adabra, the lady we were sent to escort to town for her safety with the dragon around." Taking a deep breath, Morgan realizes he is uninjured! Looking at the draught Adabra gave him, he exclaims, "What miracle is this, that I could be mortally wounded one moment and fully healthy the next?"
Having spent his entire life trying to heal people the hard way, Morgan is dumbfounded at the ease with which he has been healed.

Seeing Morgan come around brought a smile to Leareth's face. "Welcome back, Doc. Brave of you to charge that beast like that. That gave us a chance to drive it away while it was busy with you. Don't do it again though. This one flew off, but the next one might not. Or it might step on your head before it does, and then we'd be out of luck."
"Thanks, Leareth, I wasn't planning on being the sacrifice, though," responded Morgan. He adds, "I am still getting used to all of this," indicating the weapon, shield, and armor, "but apparently all this gear doesn't protect as well as one would hope."
Almost immediately, though, his attention goes back to Adabra, hoping she will answer his question. He eyes the supplies on the shelves, though he is too anxious to actually go over and start looking at them in detail yet.

“Welcome back to the land of the living Dr. Morgan! You gave us quite the scare there, I actually thought you were gonna die! I had no idea what I was doing when we were working on you!”
Cillian then laughs very awkwardly as he rubs the back of his neck, before clearing his throat and continuing in desperation and hope they all forgot that. “While I would definitely enjoy a long conversation with Miss Adabra about her miraculous medicines, I suggest perhaps a location not bound to be invaded by Manticores or...perhaps paid a visit by a certain creature we were paid to warn her about in the first place?”
The handsome dark elf says very nervously to everyone in the home, saying the last part in a very loud whisper that everyone can most definitely still hear. His eyebrows raising as he begins to very obviously mime, and badly hiding it from Adabra, the flapping of wings, pointed fangs, and breathing fire as he says creature. He continued after, addressing everyone this time saying,
“Perhaps the ol’ walk and talk would be preferred? We can act as guards and pack mules for whatever possessions Miss Adabra won’t leave behind if that helps with the decision making? As long we get further away from whatever place that f*ckin’ Manticore knows how to find.”
The old woman paces back and forth as she contemplates the request.
"Hmmm, it probably would be the safest bet, but I shall not. I am going to stay here. I am sorry that you came all this way, but I cannot just leave my home, no matter how dangerous this winged beast might be."
She walks over to her desk and sits down, beginning to scribble on a piece of parchment.
"Winged beast is too much of an understatement. The poster said it was a dragon! Those things are bad news regardless of size. Next to a dragon that monster we chased off is a cute critter. What's so important here that you'd throw your life away? Come on! Come with us!"
"Midwife Gwynn, your healing talents are miraculous, and it is not safe for you to be alone. If you insist on staying here, may I stay with you, protect you, and learn of your amazing healing capabilities?" asks Morgan, apparently forgetting the dragon threatening the town and countryside.
Persuasion: 21
Startling out of his stunned disbelief at his healing, Morgan adds self-consciously, "I suppose if you came back to town we could help you move your important healing equipment to the makeshift hospital there--so you can be close to your patients..."

As he listens to the others try to persuade her, Gale continues looking out of the window. Currently seeing nothing, but expecting worse than the creature they had already sent off. He adds to the conversation, "We all worry it may not be safe for you here. He leans over towards the others and lowers his voice, "All clear so far, but no telling how long it will stay that way." He begins looking around at her home to see if anything there would help persuade her departure to town. (investigation: 24)

Cillian will nod along to the points made by his companions, seeing them pull together a convincing enough argument that he feels no need to add on at the moment to what he assumes is an overwhelming situation for this woman. He simply gives her a supportive smile as he leans against a wall in her home. His hands still slightly shake from the adrenaline of battle and working on Morgan’s unconscious for as he moves to hide them in his pockets.
He will then take deep breathes and close his eyes once more as his party’s conversation goes on in the background muffled, as if being heard from another room. Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven” plays in the back of his mind as he attempts to calm the stormy ocean of his mind. After he finds himself he will chime in quietly and say to Adabra , hoping to help soothe the woman’s worries,
“We only wish to help you Miss. There are people back in town I think who would sorely miss you if you were lost to any flying uglie, whether they be scaled or not. You do not have to leave forever, at least until the threat of the dragon comes to pass.”
Gale: You don't seem to find or see anything that might convince her more. Your teammates seemed to have done more than enough.
After a slew of very convincing arguments, the woman puts her quill down, thinking for a moment before agreeing. "Fine fine, you've convinced me, but I'm not going ANYWHERE without my supplies." She motions to the shelves with various jars and small boxes. "I have some crates upstairs that we can put these in. Wait here." She disappears for a couple of minutes before coming back down with a handful of crates and boxes. "Here, place them in here." She'll say as she hands boxes to each of you, before finally taking one for herself. She begins to go through the shelves, carefully placing the various items into it.
Taking one of the boxes, Leareth began to load supplies into it as carefully as he could, keeping heavy things to the bottom and light, fragile things on top. After a while it occurred to him to ask the question he had thought of before. "What was that manticore's deal? Why was it attacking?"
Gale grabs a crate as well to help Leareth get the woman's supplies ready to travel. His ears perk up as he hears Leareth ask the question about the manticore. He pauses a moment and gazes at mdme Gwynn awaiting any information she may have.
