You make your way over to the docks and see two boats tied up on the left side of the wharf. Looking out, you can see four boats out in the middle of Lake Ashane and two closer to the shores pulling up nets. Over to the right side is a small hut with an overturned boat held up by some kind of wooden structure. A short older man appears to be applying a combination of wooden shavings, cloth, and some kind of thick black substance to the hull to dry.
Eve: There are birds flying around here and there, but they dont appear to be seagulls. Fish appear to be plentiful in the lake and you can see one breaking the surface of the water here and there grabbing any leaves or bugs that might happen to be floating on the surface.
Eve touches Kanithar’s elbow briefly, almost subconsciously, and shows him a little smile before turning away, to wander out around the dock...
Without really knowing what she’s doing really, she wishes the animals could tell them what they’ve seen, and uses Beast Speech to cast speak with animals.
She approaches the lake, and like a child, she starts to mimic the bird-calls, and delights in it when a couple call back. She also makes silly ‘Bob-bob-‘ sounds with her lips at the fish she sees breaking the surface. Do they mouth ‘Bob-bob-‘ back??
She’ll continue to call to the animals and listen to their replies. At the same time she wonders (ask’s them) if they can help, and if they’ve seen any strange monsters recently.
While the fish merely give you the response of "wooden shell walkers" being out on the water, the birds speak of the "tusk man" and "flowing man" being seen around the town.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Edge smiles as Eve talks to the birds and fish. Interesting he thinks to himself. The child is full of unusual gifts.
With Kanithar going over to talk to the man fixing the boat on the shore, Edge walks out on to the wharf and goes over to the two boats moored. One might be the sick angler he thinks to himself.
He hops down into the first one, careful to stay to the middle, wanting to avoid getting wet if he doesn’t have to, and starts scouring the boat for signs of anything out of the ordinary.
Eve smiles, and almost giggles, at the fish, “Bob-bip- ha! Blip-bloop... you mean boats? And people fishing? Bob-Bob- Thanks!...”. She takes a little hard biscuit from her rations and crumbles part of it into the water for the fish.
@bird...
As the bird approaches and starts to allude to some new strangers, Eve becomes more interested! She calls it down and asks “caw-caw— Tusk Man?? Like pig? -click-caw..... and what? ‘Flowing’ man?!? -caw- you mean like water? or like snake? or something?...big like man?.. -click-caww-“.
After the chat with the bird she will ask it what treat it likes from her rations: dried fruit or nuts? dried meat? hard biscuit?
And before it leaves she’ll say, “caw-caw— What’s your name?? Caww-click- And if you want more treats tomorrow, find me. Tell me anything new you see!-click-caw.”. And she lets it go about it’s way.
Senna watches silently as she sees Eve speak with animals, making strange noises. For a moment shes unsure if Eve has gone mad or if she really is communicating with these creatures. Senna has never seen magic such as this in the Order and watches carefully to see what drives her powers that are so different from her own.
Can Senna see how well the remaining fishermen are doing in terms of catching these plentyfull fish? Do they seem to be taking only what they need or maybe take to little out of fear of catching something themselves?
After finishing his talk with th gnome, Garcis moves to follow the others. He keeps his eyes moving around but is no longer messing about with whatever was in his pack.
Kanithar: The man stops what he is doing and looks up at you, "You mean that creature that attacked the town or those sick fellas?"
Edge: You search the first boat from one end to the other but find nothing out of the ordinary.
Eve: The bird squawks back at you that it saw a man "flow like water" to become another man.
Senna: You can see them filling their boats with fish, but not over abundantly, they don't seem fearful of anything they are doing.
As the day gets older, you can all see the fishermen start rowing their boats back to the dock and begin the task of unloading their cargo. The men move at a steady pace and seem to be in good spirits. Towards the north you can see a group of hunters coming back from the forest with small game.
Edge bounds back up on to the dock and then over to the second boat to take a look around. Again, he's careful to stay to the middle, wanting to avoid getting wet if he doesn’t have to. He hums a little to himself as he starts checking the boat for signs of anything out of the ordinary.
Evefrowns, and nods earnestly to the bird, but then smiles again as it pecks a snack out of her hand and flies off. She watches it, as it flies... Sometimes she wishes she could fly (but only sometimes).
She walks along the edge of the dock, play-balancing on the very very edge. Maybe hopping up to balance on some of the wooden pilings, or to hop from pillar to post as she goes, her tail swishing gracefully from side to side as a counterbalance. When she's done with that, she hops back down onto dock itself, amongst the boats and baskets and crates.
In a space, she looks up at the sky smiling. She stretches her arms out, looking up at the clouds, and steps and spins around a couple of times on the spot. As she does she scratches an arcing-symbol into the air, with one hooked talon, and mutters an ancient word. At the same time she ducks down and pulls her arms in and casts minor illusion around herself in the form of a large barrel, to hide in...
She sits there for a second in the barrel, before she giggles and gives her position away (not that anyone is really looking for her). But she stays inside for a bit... ... then she casts again: this time using Mask of Many Faces to cast disguise self and turn herself into a petite replica of the hideous wereboar!... but still hiding inside the barrel.....
She thinks how much fun it would be to burst out of the barrel right now and go running around the dock like that! The thought makes her burst out laughing! And it's all too much... and she drops the disguise... and she drops the illusion of the barrel... and she's just sat there, back to herself, on the dock laughing quietly to herself, "heheheheee... ha ha!....oh my! Ahah...".
She takes a deep breath and mostly composes herself, and jumps up and walks back over towards where Kanithar is speaking with the old man, but by a looping route around the dock first...
Garcis looks to the hunters and makes his way over to them, wanting to see what they would know about the lands around the village. "Excuse me. While you were out hunting did you see anymore of the board that attacked last night?"
Kanithar: The man looks at you for a moment then nods, handing you a brush, "I was almost done, but I won't turn down honest help. I know Madenal a bit, though he came from Shevel and I'm from Mulsantir. We've known each other for a few months now. The creature you fought on the other hand, never seen anything like that around here. Came from the Ashenwood I reckon, always been rumors that there's bad stuff running about in there."
Edge: You search the second boat over and find nothing at first, but a small amount of muddy water has pooled up in the bottom and as you step into the boat, the water sloshes around a bit causing a small square of parchment to come to the surface. Picking it up with the tips of your fingers and unfolding it, you can tell some of the written words are gone, but you can make out "-- peak to you discreetly--" "---eet you at your home to discu--"
Senna: You don't see anything in or around the woods currently, and the hunters seem in good spirits for the most part. They don't seem to have as much game as you would think though.
Garcis: They look your way and one of the men says, "No, thank goodness for that. We haven't seen any boars at all today, but generally they are in the thicker parts of the forest, where we just don't go. I'm not sure if that boar man attacked us for killing boars previously, but we don't want anything to do with them right now."
Edge heads down to the docks looking for any anglers about or boats tied up.
Eve will stay close to Kanithar, taking in the sights and sounds of the dock, as they approach...
In particular, she’s trying to keep her eyes peeled for any wildlife (seagulls, seals, crabs, fish, etc).

Senna adds to Kanithars words Madenal, thats the fisherman that got sick weeks ago. He seems to be the first one that caught this illness.
She will listen to the fishermans reply but will watch in the direction of the hunters. She whispers to herself Show me that what remains hidden.
Senna will look past the hunters to see if she can spot something in the woods, something that is watching the hunters or has followed them.
