Gajesh ignores the writing due to his growing suspicion after witnessing Rushdi being stricken with blindness twice in a matter of an hour. He instead simply keeps a watch over his companion, making sure he does not touch the writings.
"These look valuable, but not dangerous - let's grab as many as we can, and keep moving - the longer we stay here, the more likely we are to be ambushed." Mal starts grabbing the Sanskriti tablets and shoving them in his pack.
Krikoris idly moves in, looking for anything in any language he might recognize.
Krikoris recognises the script and language on a set of ancient jade wafer like tablets.....it is NaHuaChi ( Draconic)...but this script is much more fluid and graceful than the hard angular scorings he has seen back home.
Gajesh sees a few he recognizes as well but does not pay much mind other then to skim those in NaHuaChi before returning to guiding along the blind Rushdi.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Mal finishes gathering texts, then treads softly down the hall to the corner. Seeing a door to his left, he'll listen for movement inside before pushing it open.

Perception: 17
Mal hears nothing within the room and pushing the door open sees a long room with a collapsed moldering set of shelves against the back right wall. Closer to the door is a desk, on it an overturned ink-pot smears the lump that was a half-finished copy of the moldering book spread open beside it.
"Give me a brief time and I can perform a ritual to see if there is anything magical that may aid or harm us." Gajesh offers, continuing to guide Rushdi.
"Explain to me what you're looking at, maybe I can help discern its purpose." The blind Rushdi will try to help identify the magic and purpose of what Gajesh has found, if he wants.
"Not sure the magic is different then what I know. It is strange..." Gajesh says as he tilts his head and tries to guess as what type of magic it could be.

"They might explain a few things, I can barely make this one out," says Cinta as she points to one of the Kra tomes.

Krikoris looks over the tablets briefly, trying to get an idea of the type of contents.
These seem to be a texts that would be of use in translation and interpretation...probably worth a bit along with what Malambing is taking.

Krikoris ensures Mal has the jade tablets before moving to bring up the rear of the group again.

Mal turns to Krikoris. "I dont want to go in there, po. Do you?"
Krikoris shrugs, "Probably not, but maybe check the desk for anything useful?"
"Give me a brief time and I can perform a ritual to see if there is anything magical that may aid or harm us." Gajesh offers, continuing to guide Rushdi.
Gajesh takes a few minutes and the book on the desk glows slightly to his sight....though not in the way he would expect a tome to register...

Mal sees them all talking about the book, so he goes in carefully and holds the book up. "Should we just bring it with us?"
