((What language did they speak in? Abyssal?))
As the battle comes to an end, the wind around Moskov dies down and a frown comes across his face under the scarf. Those were no ordinary monsters if they can speak, he thinks to himself. He mentally pores over what he knows hole they walk. Arcana check: 20
Gorm doesn't say much as the party walks, but isn't aloof, just quiet. If spoken to she is plenty social, just more apt to listen than talk. She also keeps an eye out... On the surroundings and all, but also on the group. She acts a bit like a shepherd, calling back any who start straying too far afield from the rest of the group. "Group up, all," she says several times during the day. "Nobody strays alone, always be with at least one other."
Moskov. You've heard of these creatures before. No, that's the wrong way to phrase it. You have read about alien-like beings. Elongated limbs. Lack of eyes. Best guess? These things came from the underdark. But, monsters from the underdark rarely work together unless theres another force controling them. And one that can speak?
That's bad.
The treck through the woods goes as well as it did before, only Shadow is more concerned about Corwin's shapshifting capabilities. A few hours pass and the sky turns a pinkish orange. It may be time to rest soon.
(OOC: Sorry about that Healing Light mishap, sometimes I forget the way druid hp works. DM can I use it on myself?)
Cifray notes the lowering sun and proposes to the group that they find a place to stop for the night. "The thing is though, I don't know where we would be safe with those things out there."

"Well, time to look for camp." Pin pulls out the sack of trinkets. "Don't forget to take something to help wind down. This has been a stressful day. If we don't mind I can sit on first watch."
As Moskov spreads out his bedroll near a small fire he lit with a few muttered words (Prestidigitation), he takes off his scarf for the first time. The removal of th scarf reveals he has a short full beard and appears to be around his mid-twenties. Lichenburg burn scars come from below his collar and travel partway up his face. He says to the group, "Those creatures we fought today came from deep within the earth. Where I'm from, beasts like that don't work together unless something more powerful is controlling them. Plus, them being in the surface speaks of an organized effort of some kind." He stares into the fire for a moment before saying, " After our mission is complete, I feel like we should investigate more about this. I have a duty to protect those who can't protect themselves, and these beasts are quite a threat for this area. "
"I don't speak for everyone, but I will certainly aide in anything that protects the community." Pin says as she begins to doff her armor with the casual nature of subscribe who's lived in a big family with little privacy.
Corwin is glad to be settling in after the stressful events of the day. He feels foolish for having wandered off, but wonders if it was a blessing in that it led to the discovery of the foul creatures planning to ambush the party.
At Moskov's words, he nods. "Such creatures are unnatural in a place like this, and we should look to learn more about them when we can."
As the fire warms them, Corwin offers a few words. "The spirit of this place has seen us through this day, and I thank the land for that." He settles into the base of a tree, back against the trunk, his eyes slowly closing. "I will be awake soon," he says as he drifts off into a deep place of rest and recovery.
OOC: Corwin does his four hour trance to recover and recharge. He can keep an eye out for trouble after that.
Cifray sets her gear down in the spot the group has chosen and takes out her trusty notebook. While sketching her memories of what the beats looked like she sits down next to Moskov and appears to be back to her unfazed and eager self. "So how much do you know or remember about those things? You said where you're from, where is that?" Cifray proceeds to pester the sorcerer with questions as she writes down any answers.
Moskov thinks for a moment before saying, "That's pretty much all I know. I haven't read anything about those beasts in particular, but they have the traits of a subterranean predator. As for me, I'm from Port Windwake. You probably haven't heard of it..." He trails off, looking into the fire and thinking deeply.
”I am more than happy to help you rid the forest of those creatures, they do not belong here” she says as she arranges her bedroll. Cazoon will fly up in the nearest tree and nestle himself up in the leafs.

Gorm shrugs and says “Let’s save the druids first. Life has a way of gut punching you if you make plans too far ahead.”
Gorm will enjoy the warmth of the fire and the noise of others around. She offers to take any spot needed on the watch to ensure there’s two people awake at all times.
