With blood now staining Corwin's eyes, he could just make out the same figure he dased away from before in pursuit. As that happens the creature you've practically torn appart manages to squirm away from you looking very injured. It stands up, holding its wounds with one claw and strikes with the other. Attack: 9 Damage: 7 It successfully tears into your chest, up to your neck. Searing pain aside, you start to feel an odd sensation from the wound. The other strikes again. Attack: 7 Damage: 5 And...somehow manages to get nothing but air, tripping over you and falling prone right beside you.
Corwin, make a con save.
Everyone else, you've now arrived to the scene. Roll initiative.
((We learned that rolling a 1 is more dire than just falling flat on our faces?))
Gorm breaks off her calling for Corwin when she hears Shadow’s comments. “The snake can tell you that?” Gorm asks with mild amazement. “Lead on!”
Initially Gorm would follow the flying snake but quickly decide it wiser to follow Shadow instead. Much easier target to track...
Gorm initiative: 10
Hearing Pin call out, Gorm will look about the others quickly then decide that perhaps she is the best suited. Gorm pauses a moment and squats down. “Hop on!” She calls out, and once she feels the halfling climb on her back, Gorm will carry her (like Skywalker did Yoda!) as she trudges through the forest after the others.
Shadow hears the sound of battle and will follow it. Dodging round the trees an undergrowth as they didn’t excise. Here she was in her right element and could move without thinking.
(OOC Forest is Shadows favourite terrain, she and the part is therefore not affected by difficult terrain and she won’t get lost unless someone uses magic for her to do so)

The lupine Corwin lets out a yelp of pain as he suffers another wound. He is still fighting, but the battle is taking its toll. The beast-druid snarls and snaps at the creatures as he tries to shake off the effects of his wounds.
Con Saving Throw (using +4, the dire wolf's modifier, which is better than Corwin's): 12
OOC: Dire Wolf HPs are at 21/37 (I mistakenly deducted damage on a miss earlier in the fight. I edited the previous post to reflect that.) OOC: Yes, it would seem that natural one on Survival was a doozy of a fumble!

As soon as Cifray comes into view of the scene of Corwin's struggle she is initially confused, not realizing that Corwin is in wolf form but still realizes that the clearly horrific monsters fighting it are in need of being fought back. She will call forth the power of the heavens and send a beam of golden light shooting forward at the monster currently in struggle with Corwin (eldritch blast) Attack: 24 Damage: 1 and then ready her quarterstaff while casting shillelagh on it.
Corwin can feel his muscles begin to seize. But with a grunt in effort he shakes off the effect. Shadow. You dash into the scene with Cazoon overhead. You see a dire wolf currently fending off two monstrous creatures right beside it.
Cazoon zips over to the monster who got a good cut in Corwin and sinks its fangs into the wound the wolf made. The creature tries and fails to swipe at Cazoon but gets nothing but air. Seconds later it starts to foam at the mouth and falls to the ground twitching. (literally had 1hp left)

Attack: 23 Damage: 9
Radiant energy builds in Pin's fist. And when she throws out her hand, there is a flash of blinding light. A moment later, the arm on the creature next to the wolf is seared clean off. It howls in pain as it tries to get to it's feet.

Gorm races into the scene, dropping a shoulder to unceremoniously plop Pin down into what looked to be a soft spot of leaves. Unencumbered now, Gorm drew he shorts word and engaged the beast that seemed to be the target of everyone else's attacks.
"Keep your eyes peeled for Corwin!" Gorm shouts out even while slicing at the creature which is now in front of her. Spinning with the momentum of her swing, Gorm taps he inner strength, her Ki, and pushes the attack - She spins and kicks out her foot at the knee of the creature and then followed that up with a straight punch at it's throat. Her movements were quick, quiet and hopefully deadly.

Moskov bursts into the clearing and gives a start at the creatures. He has never seen anything like them, but they seemed unnaturally aggressive. Locking eyes on the one that seems the most healthy, he forms his hands into an arcane symbol in front of his amulet before thrusting his his hands outwards. A bolt of lightning blasts from his hands and arcs towards one of the abominations with a peal of thunder.
The disarmed creature rises to its feet, and before it could gather it's bearings, a spray of blood is arks into the air, the deed done by the tiefling. As Gorm goes to kick the creature, it jumps into the air, making the kick go wide. However, using that momentum, Gorm leaps into the air in one fluid motion, bringing her elbow down and slamming it into the creature's head. The creature's corpse crashes to the ground with Gorm landing on top of it. For the moment, everything is quiet again. Natures' natural noise returning. In the distance, Corwin's canine eyes catch the form of the third monster now closing in on them.
Moskov sees this and immediatly casts lightning at it. There is a resounding explosion that echoes throught the woods, but the creature rushes out of the dust cloud, still on the pursuit.
Cifray, you hear a soft, angelic voice in your mind. "Watch yourself." In an instant you turn around and throw your hands out. A beam of radiant light shoots from your fingers and manages to graze another creature who was looking to get the drop on you. Now in a mishapened circle, the party watches as three more of these slimy monsters crawl from the woodwork.

Shadow looks around and takes a second to assess the situation then calls out. “Cazoon attack the wounded one” and Cazoon comes flying down, fangs exposed. He bites the wounded creature and then flies up 15 ft in to the air.
Attack 19 Damage 3 piercing and 9 Poison. Cazoon will use Flyby again to avoid an opportunity attack.
