It tries to calm its breathing. It clutches a clawed hand to the gaping wound in its side. It says in a pained hiss, "There are four more of us. They are in the main hall with your friend." It winces as a fresh wave of pain washes over it. " We feed on magical energy, so we must hunt those with magic to survive. Your friend had a more powerful aura around him, so we took him. " It looks dejectedly at the ground, "It's not much of a life."
"We all make do the best we can," Gorm answers, with compassion in her voice. She immediately drops to a knee and strikes the creature in the forehead with her fist, following up with an elbow if needed, attempting to knock the thing unconscious without killing it.

At your strikes, it slumps into unconsciousness on the muddy ground. Thunder rumbles overhead as the sky pours rain down on the valley. Fat raindrops splash on the ground and make a constant thumping sound in the background.
“Let’s at least make sure he won’t sneak up behind us” Shadow says and uses her dagger to slice of a piece of rope from her backpack and then she leans down to tie the creatures hands an feet with it.

CIfray watches as Gorm and Gruenic run off, staying put with Shadow until they are ready to follow. Although still shaky from all of the fighting she takes a second to clear her mind and thinks ahead about fighting inside a large building and draws her dagger.

You do a quick search of the village and find no more monsters. What the creature said just be true; they must be in the main hall. The party regroup and makes their way to the central building. Two human guards are stationed by the door peering nervously out into the rain. They clutch shotguns close to their chest. Inside, you can see bluish elves huddled together. One of those creatures prowls around them.
Corwin the wolf joins Gorm and Gruenic, staying a bit behind them, padding along as silently as possible, waiting to see what unfolds, ready for action if need be.
((Do we have any idea what a shotgun is? Don’t believe we’ve seen them in action yet..,))
“I could surrender myself to get close, then try to cause a ruckus to maybe draw the creatures out before they realize it is a full attack?” Gorm half asks, half suggests...
((what is main hall made out of? Actual building or tent? And other entrances or windows or such?))
Gruenic puts out his arm gently, “No Gorm, we need to all work together on this one, we will need your help and your fighting arm. Our tracks and passage are still being hidden by pass without trace, correct? Perhaps we can sneak up and close with those 2 guards quickly and in force, then deal with those inside. Can we sneak up from the side, out of sight until we are close?”

“If we need cover I can call on fog to cover the area. They will not be able to se us, but we will also have a hard time seeing them. On the other hand they will most likely use lanterns or tourches which will make them an easier target” Shadow says while studying the main hall.

"Yes, those close to me still will find themselves sneakier than normal,' Gorm answers. "For a little while at least." ((Not sure how much time has gone by, assume not an hour yet.))
"I'm just a bit hesitant about those metal staffs they hold. It could be some kind of magical... something. I'd like to take them out quick, just in case..."
You see the large building ahead of you is nearly 80 foot by 40 foot. It stand nearly 20 feet tall. It is looks a bit more advanced that the huts around you. It has a similar construction of a log cabin. You can see shells strung on garlands of seaweed strewn across its frame. You can see the ground inside the main hall is a hard and dry dirt floor.
"Ok. Let's approach the building from the side, sneak in close and then close with those two quickly. I don't like those metal tubes either. Cifray if you can incapacitate one, I will grab the other and everyone can rush in to finish them quickly. Does that sound like a plan?" Gruenic would like to have one guard grappled while the other is handled by Cifray. He keeps his shield in place but frees up his sword hand.

As she gets closer to them she takes a deep breath and draws a small iron rod from within her travel bags. Holding it in front of her she begins to whisper an arcane incantation, holding the iron straight out in front of her with one hand, her small delicate fingers deftly weaving shapes in the air with the other. Releasing the spell she aims it at the guard furthest back from their position.
