"Perhaps we should continue deeper in to the mountain....." and Aregarak will point to the staircase "it sounds like more orcs have returned home...."

Lana gets up and tosses her quiver and pack back on as she wrestles with waking Spirit up quietly. "Yes perhaps we should move lower before the incoming orcs realize we have shed blood here" she agreed with Aregarak

GB stirs and sees the party moving in quiet rush.  Unsure what is happening he gathers his things and takes a pull from his wine skin, half preparing to move and half preparing to fight.

Aregarak will whisper quietly to GB "More swine have returned to the pen my friend, we move deeper....."

// Yeah I was referring to the large front door at the entrance to the whole complex, not the iron grate you came through to get to this room. //

// is there any way we can perhaps barricade or lock this room from the inside to prevent orcs from following us down or at least slowing them down? //

Bel heating the outside doors springs to his feet. “Alright everyone, if we are going to do something then we had better get on it fast!” He says with urgency in his voice.

Lana and Spirit walk down the stairs knowing that everyone would eventually follow her being fully rested and her wounds healed she felt it best that she take the lead. Spirit walking slightly in front of her as she begins to take the stairway down. Her eyes keen to the darkness, she has her bow in hand with an arrow already instinctively notched.

GB places his hand on Lana shoulder, to avoid lighting a torch in the immediate, and follows her down the stairs. 

The stairway twists and turns a long way downward. The floor has been cut into hundreds of shallow steps, but the walls and ceiling are still natural rock. This is all GB can feel, for his birdlike sight fails him as he descends into the blackness. 

For those with darkvision or a light source: about sixty feet down, a rushing stream spills from a narrow crack to the south and crosses the stairway, disappearing into a narrow, winding tunnel to the north. The stream is only two or three feet wide, and its water is frigid. 

// You can choose to try and follow the subterranean stream, or keep to the stairs, your call. //

Aregarak will push Bel in behind GB and follow last in case the orcs catch up.

As you continue into the darkness, you hear behind you shouts of dismay and confusion among the orcs. <Murder!> <Thieves!> cry the distant orcs in their native tongue. You have but moments to make good your escape before they find their makeshift cage opened—what do you do?

Lana continues down the stairs knowing she is leading steps across the stream and continues downward.

“We need to move quickly guys” Bel whispers as he draws his blade in preparation for what ever may happen next. “Just hang on big guy. I’ll guide you”
