Lana looks towards the stairs "Well hopefully that will be a safer place to take a rest" she said. "Although we do need to watch our step here that water is moving pretty rapidly" she reminded them.

/ooc did anyone search the dead creatures?

// yeah I'd rather try to find a more defensible area than this open flowing river with multiple entrances to hunker down in if possible //

The narrow staircase, cut into the rock, winds down along the chasm walls until opening into a noisy, lower cavern. The rocky walls here glisten with spray, and a weird array of colorful minerals and strange lichens lend an unearthly beauty to this spot.

A loud waterfall spills down the northwest wall of this cavern into a deep pool. A fast-moving stream runs south from the pool at the base of the falls, and a nearby natural passage heads in the same direction.

Lana looks around "This should be a good place to rest we can take turns watching out and my bow will warn of any danger, we should check those doors and see if they are secure first though" she said pointing towards them.

"Are the doors to keep us in, or to keep us out....." and he'll go investigate the doors

Bel moves around the room and also checked the doors.

Both doors seem to have swollen shut from dampness. They don't seem to be locked, but might require some elbow grease to open.

Bel turns to Aregarak’s, “we should take a chance rest while the doors are stuck then we can bash them open” 

"Agreed if they are stuck then they aren't being used, so we should be well alerted if something tries to come through those....we just need to watch the stairs and the tunnel then..."

Lana agreed with Bel as she went to the water and stirred it up a little to examine and make sure there was nothing going to come out of it as well.

Perception 10

“I will take second watch” as he finds a quiet dark corner to sit and trance.

Lana finds nothing but some blind fish and white crustaceans in the pool. 

This area is a relaxing one, if a little wet and misty. 

As you set up camp, who's on first watch?

Lana lets Spirit go and rest "I will take the first watch" she whispered her elven spell and cast cure wounds on herself.
