While traveling for an hour or more in your favored terrain, you gain the following benefits:

• Difficult terrain doesn’t slow your group’s travel.
• Your group can’t become lost except by magical means.
• Even when you are engaged in another activity while traveling (such as foraging, navigating, or tracking), you remain alert to danger.
• If you are traveling alone, you can move stealthily at a normal pace.
• When you forage, you find twice as much food as you normally would.
• While tracking other creatures, you also learn their exact number, their sizes, and how long ago they passed through the area.

Lana woke Bel up for his turn to take watch. Looking around the room once more to make sure Aregark and Spirits loud snores were not inviting any unwanted visitors. She then took a spot next to Spirit and put herself into a trance with her longbow cross her legs never letting her left hand fall off it.

Bel is knock out of his trance by Lana. “Rest well” he tells her as he pulls a ration from his pack and quickly eats it. With the quit and calm, he takes his chance to really check out the pool.

Bel can tell the the fish and crustaceans in the pool would be good to eat, and if anyone could fish them out of there, it'd be Lana (this is a source of food so that you can get by without using your rations for the day, since you have Lana with you). 

The pool looks to be perhaps 12 feet deep at the lowest, and water in the pool flows south before quickly picking up towards a much more rapid outflow. Bel can tell that it would be easy for anyone who fell in to be swept away. 

After several hours of rest and reflection, you have managed to get yourselves back in shape for more exploration, despite the lack of comfortable accommodations in these subterranean caves.

As Lana get up from her trance she listens to Bel as he tells her that the fish are edible and would save us some rations in case we needed them later. She would take out an arrow and stab at the fish trying to make sure she gets enough for everyone and a few extra for Spirit. She would then make sure she had the rest of her gear stowed and a count on her arrows in case she needed to begin to look for something to make some or find some. Satisfied she had she did not take time to prepare any new spells as she would just use the ones she had ready before hand.

Survival 6

Lana expertly fishes several of the little blind creatures out of the pool, and they make for good meat—they cook quickly and can also be eaten raw. They are a bit bland either way, but satisfying. 

/ooc whoo hoo finally something expertly done :)

Spirit doesn't slow down much as she chews on the fish waiting for anyone to discard any left overs or the bones from theirs. She looks considerably more happy than eating dried rations.

Bel finishes off his fish and tosses the bones to Spirit then goes through his pack to take inventory of his things and sharpen his blade.

GB tears into the fish with a ferocity similar to Spirit.  He looks to the group.

"What is next.  GB had come down to kill orcs but we end up deeper and deeper into cave." 

GB pulls a bone from his beak and contiunes

"Not that GB mind plenty of beasties to end down here. 

Lana looks at GB then looks at Spirit "you know you do not like her much but you sure eat like her" she says as the points back and forth to the two. 

Spirit just let out a small soft growl as she was devouring Bel's bone he threw to her. 

You find yourselves pondering where to go next...

Bel goes over to the south tunnel to check it out.

You follow the tunnel for a short distance to find a long, narrow cavern that is half-filled with an underground river, flowing along at a rapid pace. The stream from the waterfall in the cavern behind you feeds this aggressively flowing river.

You are standing on a narrow ledge on the north side that overlooks the river. A sturdy bridge of stone spans the river, leading to a larger ledge on the south side that follows the course of the river to the east.

The cavern goes on for some ways to the east, and there looks to be a short flight of stone steps to the south.
