"I will accompany you to the Shrine, friend. It always is a good idea to have the gods watching your back."
To Linene he says, "Ma'am, have no fear of repercussions from these Redbrands. If they are a threat, please tell me about them. I pity those who victimize the weak for their own ends, for they will meet their fate when the divines come calling. The Tusk says it, it must be known."

"...Debts must always be paid, sometimes in more than blood and gold. But this is Ordo Ursa," Ren places his hand on Erakas's chest, right where the Dragonborn's heart is. "Right here. And it always has been and always will be. Don't ever forget that. Because I won't."
Serandis Mendaen (Aereni Elven Rogue/maybe one day Wizard)- Project Point Playtest
Coryn nods towards Brugo, ending his little coin trick as he leans against the shop counter.
"Yeah, what can you tell us about these Redbrands? Are they making people pay protection fees or anything?" Coryn asked, applying additional emphasis to protection fees. He smiled warmly at Linene, hoping to get more information out of her.
OOC: Do I need to make a persuasion check? Also, if the Redbrands are a criminal organization, would Coryn know anything of them due to his own criminal background?
Hardi will listen intently at any information on these 'Redbrands'. His instincts as a devotee to Pelor and a former Watchman set his spidy senses tingling! Otherwise, he will then accompany others to the Shrine to pay his respects. While there, he'll ply the clergy for information on the Redbrands.
"An interest in strong arms, eh?" Brugo says to Coryn without looking at him, waiting for Linene's answer.

Linene explains in hushed tones that the Redbrands are a recently moved in band of ruffians and warns you to avoid the Sleeping Giant tap house. You get the overall sense that these Redbrands are terrorizing the town's population. They are trouble.
When you guys are done conversing to Linene, I will describe the temple.

"Not my first time dealing with the rougher element." The Half-Elf told Brugo, his glance never leaving Linene.
"Sounds to me like we have a tap house to visit, inevitably" Coryn said aloud, pushing himself off of the counter. He began walking towards the front of the shop, ready to get to the temple.
OOC: I will take that as no, he doesn't know anything about the Redbrands due to his background :P
While everyone is in the arms store, Kyle takes the time to purchase more arrows. These "Redbrands" will need to be investigated, but tarry too long and there may be no left to rescue from those goblins.
Cedrik spends the 10 gp required for his spell and sets out looking for a brass braizer. He will be gone for about an hour and a half doing his ritual. He will meet the group at the tap house when he is done, ready to take on some ruffians.
Hardi moseys over to the acolyte. "Woah woah there! Hey now, ma'am. Let's just settle down, eh?" Hardi tries his best to calm her. "What seems to be all the trouble now, eh? Anything we can do to help ya?"
Sister Garaele is very worried about ridding Phandalin of the Redbrands. She is in no position to try and take care of them herself.
In addition, she has another problem:
QUEST: THE BANSHEE'S BARGAIN
Sister Garaele needs help with a task. She is trying to persuade a banshee named Agatha to answer a question about a spellbook. Garaele tried to seek her out in Agatha's lair, but she will not appear to her. Garaele asks if you all could be an intermediary to bring Agatha a suitable gift, a jeweled silver comb, and persuade the creature to tell you all what she knows about a spellbook belonging to a legendary mage named Bowgentle. Sister Garaele explains that if one of you flatters Agatha's vanity, she might trade the comb for an answer.
She will offer healing potions as a reward. You can either accept the quest, or move on to something else in the town.
PLACES TO GO SEE:
Stonehill Inn (Inn), Barthen's Provisions (Trading Post), Edermath Orchard (A home), Lionshield Coster (Weapon/Armor Merchant), Phandalin Miner's Exchange (Trading Post), Alderleaf Farm (A home), The Sleeping Giant (Inn), Shrine of Luck (Temple).
We will consider aided you in your troubles but I cannot guarantee aid, we have more pressing matters for now.
Turing to the others Let us head to the less deadly of the inns and spend the night so we may attack these redbrands at first light so we may continue on to find Gundren.
Hardi frowns at Kyle. "Woah now there, fella. We could definitely use them potions she's offerin'. Especially if we're gonna be tacklin' a whole gang and a castle fulla goblins and whatnot. Besides, ya shouldn't be so quick to shutdown someone in need, ya know? It's rude!" He turns back to Sister Garaele "I'll accept your mission, Sister Garaele. I'll just have to find out who's got the biggest personality."
"A copper to the Lady returns tenfold in gold." Coryn whispers, kneeling down in the shrine. He places a single copper coin to his lips, and then leaves it on the ground. He walks over to the others, listening in on the conversation.
"I agree with you both. We need to figure out the distance of the tasks ahead, and go from there. Gundren is a big boy, he can fend for himself for a little bit. It's not like they'll kill him until they find out what they need, and I doubt he'll give in to easy." The Half-Elf commented bluntly, knowing pretty well how seedy organizations worked. If these monsters had wanted him dead, they would have killed the Dwarf when they saw him.
"How about we do it for the potions and you make a few prayers to The Lady for us?" He asked of Sister Garaele, winking at her. It was no act of coincidence, in his mind, that this town would have a shrine to Lady Luck, and he would come across it in this journey.
"Alright alright. It's no problem. " He follows Coryn's example and tosses a gold piece into the donation box. Hardi offers a prayer to Lady Luck in hopes that maybe he can have the blessings of both Pelor and the mistress of Fortune on their side. "At any rate, guess we oughtta meet up at the Inn. Get a good rest, ya know. Set out on whatever we're doing first in the mornin', eh?"

SHRINE OF LUCK
Phandalin's only temple is a small shrine made of stones taken from the nearby ruins. It is dedicated to Tymora, the goddess of luck and good fortune.
The shrine is in the care of a scholarly acolyte names Sister Garaele, a zealous young elf who appears to be in a slightly distressed state.
PLACES TO GO SEE:
Stonehill Inn (Inn), Barthen's Provisions (Trading Post), Edermath Orchard (A home), Lionshield Coster (Weapon/Armor Merchant), Phandalin Miner's Exchange (Trading Post), Alderleaf Farm (A home), The Sleeping Giant (Inn), Shrine of Luck (Temple).

I did not mean that. I merely said that we must look at our priorities. Sister Garaele, how far away is this Agatha?
She looks the both of you over as you come to, somewhat, of an understanding.
Agatha is located in the ruins of Conyberry, about a days travel away.

But, what DO they want?... Kyle mutters more to himself than anyone else.
history? to see if Kyle knows something: 5
Guess I've never heard a thing about this place...
