"Works for me." Cade agrees with a nod. "Should we get all of this stuff back to town, and let the officials there take over looking through all of these papers?"
(Updated XP to that amount then. Thanks for letting me know; I must have missed some somewhere.)
"A bird has no use for a ring so the handsome elf should have it. Although that might dwindle your chances with the ladies mister Wil so be sure you are okay with that." He laughs and claps Wil's back with his wing. He looks to Kina with her new staff and just whistles "You look stunning dear." He hails the group to the exit and says "Come on adventurers first round at the tavern is on me!"
OOC: Did we take a long rest or nah? And also how much did our shares come out to be?
Kina accepts the staff, but it's the only thing she really needs outside of the money necessary to replenish her rations and healer's kits. She has little interest in riches otherwise. "I'm sure the armour is of fair quality, I don't think me taking a swat at it would be a good measure of durability considering I seem to have trouble hitting barn doors." she says.
"I'm all for returning to town. I'm tired, hungry, and there's not much more we can do here, I don't think. I certainly can't make heads or tails of any of this." she admits. She sets about looking for any rugs or tarps they could use to roll up some of the bulkier goods so she can simply carry it across her back.

"How about we see if that wagon and oxen are still around? I know I'd prefer a slow ride to a slow walk. We can load up all these food stores as well. Anybody here actually able to drive a wagon team? They never seem to want to listen to me."
Barnabus then begins to gather his gear. He keeps the mace that he acquired from the bugbear attached to the side of his pack via loops of rope. This keeps it handy should they encounter more undead. Pack on his back, Fife in his right and Andy the shield in his left, he places a hand gently on his previous armor in memorium and thanks. He then sets about rolling food barrels around into place in preparation for transport. If anybody offers to join him he will make his way out of the tunnel and try to get back to the courtyard where the ox and cart are.
While waiting for everyone to recover Barnabus rights one of the tables in the barracks. He proceeds to spread the groups spoils out. He gathers the clerics items and brings them all to the table. He quickly divides the coins into equal piles. One for each member of the party including Rachel. Any left overs he groups together near Rachel's share. The gems, the serving set, necklaces and the rest of the chattel he separates into their own distinctive piles. Once finished this is what lays before him.
PP 21 /3 Rachel gets 6 GP. 66/11 SP. 940/ 156 Rachel gets 160 EP CP. 184/30 Rachel gets 34 spell book sized ivory box Silver box value 50gp Gem value 250gp Electrum candlesticks (each of 2) value 60gp Gold chain 200gp 1 small gem (10 gp value) Gold necklace (450 up) Stick pin (platinum with skull tip containing ruby eyes) (2000gp) black opal worth 1000 gp serving set is actually made of electrum and valued at roughly 2000 gp. silver necklace set with fire opals (8000 gp value) Plate armor +1 Staff of striking Ring of free action
He calls to everyone "Could you all join me for a moment?" Once everyone has gathered he continues. "What you see before you is what we have collected so far. Now if I might make a proposition. Each of us are entitled to the separate piles of coin. I even allocated a share to you Rachel although I am aware that you are under orders so whether or not you accept this I will leave it up to you. The small remainder pile I would entreat you to give to any who we locate that may have been a victim here. You may wish to add your share to the victims fund if you like. That leaves us with the rest of the items. We will have to wait until we return town to get any gold in exchange for them. That does, however, lead me to another propositionneckmate that the remainder of these items value just above 14,000. Now my suggestion is this. I would be willing to give up the rest of my share in the loot for the right to wear this armor. Its resiliency has impressed me greatly and by some trick or fate it seems to fit me perfectly. As for the staff I would suggest that Kina take possession of the weapon since it would seem that among us, she is the most versed in its use. As for the Ring I would leave that up to the rest to decide who wants it. Again the recipient of an item should forego partaking of the chattel but that is also up for debate."
Wil Cade: Barnabus Rachel Bart Kina:
(OCC: Okay who wants what? Obviously Barnabus wants the armor. I would suggest d20 roll highest wins to settle any disputes but I'll leave that up to our DM to dictate terms. The necklace we could split in half but that will probably reduce its value to the individual gems. Again DM discretion. Sorry it took me a bit to compile, had to change a thermostat in the kids car. Barnabus' roll for the armor should anyone else want it as well:2
Hehe well looks as if I have a challenger I've lost. No hard feelings. As for the splits it goes total/ split Rachel's share. So example total PP is 21 the split is 3 for each with Rachel getting 3 plus the left over 3 for a total of 6. Also I'm probably going to get a die edit warning since for some reason my cursed decided to have me start typing in the code line. Original was a 2 just in case.
OCC: @Bart Wil has the ring unless you or Cade would like it then the three of you will need to do a roll off. The coin split is listed. The rest of the items, it would appear, we are taking to town, cashing out, then splitting between you And Cade. About 7000gp a piece. I think Bart is already wearing the pin if I'm not mistaken. Barnabus is satisfied with the armour and the coin. Kina took the staff.
(OOC: Going to assume long rest in the barracks area given the time of day, and head back to town in the morning. If you want to change that up, just let me know.)
Nothing of ill omen occurs during the night and everyone awakes refreshed and restored late the following morning. Putting the final touches on getting everything packed up and moving out, you make your way back through the dungeon, retracing your steps to suddenly find your way blocked by an iron portculis across the hall. This looks to be the cause of the clanging sound you heard when checking the middle door by the bugbears' room. Momentarily stymied, you soon find a hidden door that leads to the mechanism to raise the barrier and continue on unimpeded.
Upstairs again, you scatter cheese and bread chunks to distract the rats and make your way outside to find the ox and wagon gone, presumably (and actually) taken by the captives you had released earlier. Undaunted, you begin making your way back south, stopping just after dusk at a suitable camp and reaching the Watch station still in place around noon the next day. Relieved to see you, the captain joins you for the rest of the trek back to town in one of the cultists "acquired" wagons.
Once back, the captain asks for a full debrief at the tavern, footing the tab for any eating/drinking to be done for the rest of the evening.
OCC: You're right Bart, I went back and I see where I got confused. Also I realized I missed adding a scroll tube full of wizard spells to the treasure list.
At the tavern Barnabus orders a large meal of roasted game hen and vegetables. He immediately immerses himself in devouring the meal and between large slobbering bites encourages Bart the bard to tell the tale.
So Cade gets 7 K GP then? Is that what i read above? He would only be a little interested in the ring, but not enough to force a roll-off.
The next morning Cade would ride on the wagon to town. Once at town he would settle back and enjoy the story of their deeds, as the others recount them, but would try to stay a bit away from the strangers, hiding behind his companions as much as possible, only peeking out if asked to speak on some point.
Bart gets a little uncomfortable seeing the game hen Barnabus is eating, but immediately gets over it when he gets a chance to show off telling the tale of their adventures. He climbs on the table, winks at Kina and starts to make up a song on the spot about the adventures they had:
Take a seat and listen To a tale of 6 heroes Their sweat in battle does indeed glisten With victories and woes
Our team comes out unscathed Only looking more beautiful I must say Defeating spiders and cultists that have misbehaved To 'The One' in vain they pray
Cade is a bear and Wil is quite the shooter Kina gallivants beautifully into the fray While Barnabus strikes with Fife my voice is the soother And Rachel who aided us keeping the enemies at bay
Bart goes on and recounts everything through song playing his lute. Constantly winking at Kina and singing to her
(OCC: @Cade yeah that's what the math works out to once everything is sold. Or another way would be one person gets the necklace and the other person gets everything else although that leaves the other person about 1k GP less in the split since the necklace alone is worth 8000. But that's easy to overcome with a simple "next time you get the extra" kind of deal. Only problem is "Can we.sell this stuff here". @Bart 😅 heh, heh, uh sorry didn't even think about that.
Barnabus offers up cries of salute as each members contributions are regaled. The cheers get cut short, muffled a bit each time as the dwarf shovels another mouthful in. Once Bart has finished his tune Barnabus lets out a long low belch as if to punctuate the tale.
" Buuuuuuuuraaaaap! Ahh....The only thing better 'en battle is talkin' bout it once its done. Fine tune lad! Fine tune! and by my beard exactly how it happened. Now the only question that remains to me is, when do we go after the rest and where?"
The captain speaks up at that, "I would suggest to bed and rest. Let the clerks run over the documents a bit tonight and we'll meet here for breakfast in the morning."

Kina purses her lips at Bart and the constant flattery. She's not one for heavy drinking herself, though she worked up quite the appetite and she embraces the merrymaking, particularly the feasting, though the deeds of the day don't sit terribly well with her. Especially the death of 'junior' still haunts her. She saw what became of the other captives. None of them allowed themselves to be taken alive, or at least, their master somehow possesses the means to kill its minions at will; how 'junior' met his end was the most merciful way... it still didn't feel good. She drinks a mere pint after her second plate and within the span of a single hand of poker, her cheeks turn a bright pink and her eyes become glazed. She gets up and, unable to sit on his knee, instead loosely puts her arms around his neck from behind and uses his head to support her bosom. She's in her more comfortable clothes, which means no running harness. "And there was an octoponamus. Err, octopop.... octo.... squid! Big one. Why did they have a squid? Weird pets these maniacs have." she slurs.
