OOC: Policy on language/general content rating?

DM OOC: I have no problem with swearing but if anyone is sensitive to it please tell everyone, but just a rule of thumb not too rough

Donar is going to look around at the others. 

“Gold speaks to dwarves and sailors. We can go there and if whoever is occupying the outpost seems too tough we can just back away. I do wish we could attack it via sea though.” 

OOC: Okay cool

"Dammit."

(Feng is frustrated.)

"He left without answering my question."

He looks at Donar. "I'm always down for a fight, but it does seem fishy that hundreds of people have taken this guy up on his offer and have died. At least according to him."

“I feel like he’s hiding something.- But I agree with the small guy.- Gold talks buddy, nothing personal.”

"Hey, if nothing else we get a free horse out of it, right?"

Wait ... will the horse even carry me?

Feng is 8' tall and weighs 340 lbs ... he's about as big as goliaths come.

Alexander let out a sigh when the creature disappeared, not happy with the lack of information he was able to gather from it. His tail slowly wrapped around his left leg, a clear sign of the frustration he was undergoing.

"I think we need to really think this through. Once second, half of us have some weird voice travelling through our heads about a literal demon lord. The next an obviously... nefarious being appears, and tries to get us to take out a random outpost. Something is off here." He stated, finally letting down both of his arms. He was here to fight evil, not to possibly help it.

"Maybe we should gather more information about the place he wants us to go. It might help us figure out if we're about to help out some kind of demon" The Tiefling remarked, turning his head to see if the rest of the tavern patrons had reappeared. 

The tavern remains empty

“He could be- baiting it- into something more comfortable- not helping.” Xing says as rubs his chin feathers.

"I was thinking something similar to Alexander. If the outpost is inhabited by the good folk of Akaliree, and we are fighting so that the evil and unnatural can take it... In that case, I would warn them of the strange being and its intentions, instead of slaughtering them.

"If the outpost is occupied by monsters, then it might be okay to clear it out. In any case, I would also want to know more about this outpost. Maybe the town guard can tell us, or the local scribes have records of this place."

“Works for me- I’ll get- fame and fortune- somehow, I guess...- Shall we, my darling?” Xing says as he hops off his seat.

Feng finishes off the last of his ale, slings his shield over his back and picks up his pack.

”We could start by talking to this Xarac guy and see how much he knows. I’m ready if you all are.”

If others agree to head out to do some in-town investigation, Feng goes as well.

"Hmmm. Valid point. Lets go talk to the stable man. See if he knows anything about this. It's the best lead we have, after all." Alexander stated, his tail finally unfurling from around his leg. He looked as if he was going to head for the door, but then stopped himself. Instead, he turned and leaned over the bar, trying to see if there were any sealed bottles of alcohol within arm's reach. If there is, he will grab a few bottles, shove them in his bag, and then head for the door. If not, he will just shrug and then head for the door.

OOC: OH SHIT! DOUBLE NAT TWENTIES ON STEALING BOOZE!

As Xing sees Alex looking around, a concern comes into his bird brain. He’s going to take one last look around to try and see if this is actually real. [Investigation: 7]

"I'm a simple man with simple needs. Some gold, friends and the open sea is all I need. Lately, I've had none of that. Hopefully, by the end of this, I'll have two of these three things. I'm ready to gather some information before heading out."

"If you are grabbing more booze for the road..."

Casts Guidance to add 1 to the natural 20.

OOC: Oh shit! Mah boy hooking it up. You get booze, you get booze, everybody gets booze!

Xing believes it all looks real.

Alexander reaches round the bar and finds enough booze to give a dragon liver failure

Xing shrugs, grabs some booze, and heads out with Feng. The big guy seems to share Xing’s methods of solving this decisively, and that’s something Xing can respect. 

"You guys coming?" Alexander asked, turning to the others from the door. He had been extremely liberal in the amount of alcohol he had grabbed, his bag full, his coat pockets each having a bottle, and there even being a final bottle grasped by his tail. Honestly, he probably looked like he had robbed the place, and so was planning on keeping an eye out for any law enforcement until he could give a couple bottles to other members of the group. However, he wanted to get out of the tavern immediately, feeling a little off about being there any further.
