With your new marching order and method, you set out once more down the tunnel. As you slowly round shallow curve, Usul would see the tunnel break off into a lopsided T. Before he goes around the corner to look either way however, he stops about 50 feet back, as another glyph trap blocks the path.
As for Dib, the little creature doesn't smell anything besides wet rock. Likewise, Usul doesn't see any signs that someone has moved through here - but the stone floor isn't something that tracks would readily be left in. There's no loose dirt, and no mud tracks.
"Yes. Another glyph. Similar to the last we think. Can we just scratch it off?"Usul says pulling his dagger from its sheath. "Does it seem likely that the trap means this is the way they went?"
"It's a little more complicated than that. Describe the runes to me, I can help you!" Sylnora says, still far back with the others. "There are certain ways you can style the glyph to make it not trigger in certain circumstances, like when a password is used. So it seems likely."
Like before, with Syl's guidance the glyph of warding is able to be disabled - though perhaps Usul didn't need as much help as Velyra. Stepping past, you get to the end of this tunnel to find it breaks into a much larger one, at least 20 feet across. This doesn't have the smooth features of the smaller one, but it is unusually straight, stretching as far as you can see in both directions.
Now that they're out of the cramped space, Kal brings out the driftglobe and casts Light from it, taking a quick look around the larger tunnel. "Well now we know how they're getting around the city so fast I suppose."
Difficult to tell which is the add-on. But this much larger tunnel is more coarse/roughly made than the narrow one. Looking around, Silthras wouldn't see any other narrow entries in the immediate area.
"Something like this isn't made in a month." Velyra says quietly as they step out into the large tunnel. "Do we pick a direction at random, or simply go back?"
Silthras glances at Velyra then sticks his finger in his mouth. After a moment he holds up his hand, trying to assess wind direction. He does this a few times, and speaks slowly as he mulls over the question.
"By my reckoning we are more than a hundred feet underground." He turns to Usul, "You know the town. Were we in a high part? It seems we should be under water. The chase was a blur and I was flying, so I'm a little lost. But we haven't gone that far from their bolt hole."
As Silthras moves around he tries to assess if there's more or less detritus in the tunnels; the fact that the big one is more worn, suggests that it is older, but is it of the same construction?
Walking around here and there with a wet finger in the air...Silthras isn't able to feel a draft at all. The tunnels are made from the same rock - but their construction is clearly different. The smaller tunnel looked like it was cut cleanly with an absurdly sharp blade. It was absurdly smooth, like polished metal. This one has bumps, ridges, and other such features.
Silthras goes back to where the small tunnel joins the wide and looks for signs of ridges and bumps on the wide tunnel that have been truncates or cut by the narrow construction. Logic says the wide tunnel is old and the narrow runnel is new, and he is being very unscientific and looking for confirmation of his theory.
"Anyone know the way to the coast?" he asks. "I suggest we walk the other way."
So where the opening is into the small tunnel, the interface between the two is just like a neat rectangular shape, making a clean sharp corner on either side.

I was just looking for "bumps and ridges" (linear features) that looked like they were chopped off by the narrow tunnel....or do they actually continue into the narrow runnel, wrapping around a short distance? Or are they vertical so that they never intersect?
So the ridges run are like rings that run around the walls/floor/ceiling. They do not run length wise. But yes. It looks there was a regular tunnel wall there before, and then something cut out a nice rectangular slice.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Usul places his dagger on the ground and spins it ((1 = W, 2 = E == 2)) then looks at the direction it points and says with a grin "How 'bout that way?"

As they come to a stop again, Sylnora calls forward. "Is there another arcane trap? I can walk you through it again!"

As he reaches the end of the narrow tunnel Silthras pauses and looks both ways, taking a keen interest in any changes.
Is this tunnel also fashioned like the prior one, or does it look like the narrow one was an add-on? Can he see any other narrow entries?

As he walks around, his frustration grows until his stops in his tracks and stares at Dib's twitching black nose...
