Dolgrim dries his head from the sweat and blood caused by the battle, leans on his hammer and takes a deep breath, trying to calm down. A few less of these brutes in the world. This was quite a successful adventure after all. After all I might stick to adventuring for longer than I initially thought. Barthrum's voice interrupts his thoughts
Right, the diggers... Master Thenmer, would you check on them? We will guard the entrance in the mean time. Oh, and don't forgot to pick the stone from them.
"Ah hello. I just need to warn you about something else."
He waits until he seems to have their attention
"Almost as soon as we left were were set upon by savage orcs. They gave no chance for anything but violence so we had no choice but to kill them. You may want to consider whether you are really safe here if there are raiding orcs as well as a dragon to worry about. Also, I fear the three of us may get split up with all this going on. If we could have the second sending stone I would be a lot happier"
"Are you all okay? Well, it seems like you're okay. I assume you all are..." "There have always been orcs, though they're surely causing more problems lately." "Well, be careful. Maybe we should carry weapons with us after all. It's heavy and uncomfortable but it seems like it is needed." He hands you the other stone and continues in his business. You can see the dwarves have made some progress and find a large hole in one of the pillars. A few skulls are on the floor around the pillar and a large piece of stone is laying on it. Seems like you missed a secret stash when you were in.
Suddenly, you hear a sound of stone moving against stone. You look around to see two of the dwarves push against the corner of the eastern wall (the wall behind the altar). The wall slowly moves and a passage is revealed behind it. One of the dwarves peeks in, then jumps away. "Another one of those things is there!" She calls as the dwarves get away from the door. "Eeek!"
(Thenmer is in the temple while the others are out of the settlement. They can neither hear nor see you.)
Not long after Thenmer left, the one who was holding the Stone of Sending (I think it was Dolgrim but I'm not sure) suddenly hears a voice in his mind. He recognises Thenmer as the speaker. "Dolgrim, Barthrum, there is another of those things here. Return as quickly as you can" he says.
Meanwhile, a familiar-looking yellow blob appears through the open door. It starts moving towards the dwarves. Some of them run out, though two of them stay inside. The two are Dis, who seems too disgusted to move and her grandfather (the old dwarf) who tries to convince her to run away.
(Sadly, I did the math and... even while being generous it'll take Dolgrim and Barthrum 6 rounds to get to the temple...)
Initiative:
Blob: 11 Thenmer: 7 Dis: 6 (Will count as surprised for the first round.) Old dwarf: 5
The blob moves towards the two dwarves. It moves slowly but steadily. It doesn't get close enough to attack, though. (It is 20 ft. from the dwarves who are near the large door right now.)
As Dolgrim starts hearing the voices in his head he starts to panic What is this, I have not drunk anything... Suddenly he recognises the voice to be Thenmer's.
Oh, it's the bloody stone, Thought I was getting Mad. Seems like the diggers found another ooze. I am telling you, something with this place is terribly wrong, my honey never attacked me... (he pauses for a second) at least not until brewed. Anyway we shall move to help.
"Run you fools, run! You can outrun it if you try"
As he tries to focus his will, he feels exhausted deep down inside, like there is nothing left. He wields his crystal, tries to focus his will as best he can and sees the strange cog-wheels spinning in the corner of his eye as he tries to focus the flame within.
A bolt of fire leaps from his hands toward the blob but he knows form experience that it will take far more than this petty magic to stop it
(Cast Fire Bold at it to hit 19 Damage 8
Should it be relevant his attempt to persuade them to run is 13 )
(Since there is no light inside, you see as if in dim light. This means you have disadvantage on your attack rolls for now. I'll roll the second d20 this time, though unless I roll 1 or 2 you will hit. 2 Well...)
The fire misses the blob. Thenmer's aim is off in the dark.
As the old dwarf shakes Dis, she snaps out of her shock. "But... I... You're wounded! Surely I can help somehow!" (If you tell her to leave again, she will do so.) "Come on! You're not ready for things like this, not yet!" Says the old dwarf while he picks a stone from the floor and throws it at the blob. Attack: 0 Damage: 1"Let him handle this for now!" The rock doesn't even reach the blob, sadly. The blob moves slowly closer to the dwarves, now only 10 ft. from them! Barthrum and Dolgrim keep running towards to temple as fast as they can.
The fire hits, though it's hesitant like Thenmer is and doesn't seem to do much damage.
Dis and the old dwarf listen this time and run away, dashing out of the temple. The monster, sensing its prey running away, makes haste for the one creature still around - Thenmer. Suddenly, it moves much faster than it previously did and quickly it gets to Thenmer. It gets close enough to attack him but doesn't seem to be able to do it just yet.
Dolgrim and Barthrum get to the temple's doors and see Dis and the old dwarf running out. "Quick, your friend is still inside!"
Stunned by the sudden speed of the thing Thenmer backs up as fast as he can, he can feel the wounds in his shoulders and his head feels light.
He wields his crystal again, forming the words and signs as he calls up fire. Hoping to distract or delay it long enough for his friends to arrive.
(Cast Fire Bolt again. I'm not sure if I am still at disadvantage now its up close so I will cancel the disadvantage if it still applies. Roll to hit 15 and damage 2 )
Thenmer calls upon the forces of balance, creating cogwheels that illuminate the room enough for him to see as he sends another bolt of fire at the creature. He tries to use the attack for a distraction to escape towards the doors, but the creature extends a part of it and tries to attack Thenmer. Attack: 21 Damage: 13 The fire hits the creature but so does the monster's attack. Thenmer gets slammed backwards, landing unconscious right at the feet of his two friends who had just arrived.
The monster moves towards the three, trying to attack (1) Barthrum. Attack: 11 Damage: 13. Barthrum easily blocks the attack with his shield as Thenmer struggles for his life below him.
Thenmer's death save: 17. Thenmer is still unconscious, but at least his situation doesn't seem to get worse.
Barthrum grabs whatever appendage is the furthest away from the blob and pulls Thenmer away as far as he can, then revives him by 1 point of Lay on Hands.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(The DC was 15, so even with Cha you would have passed. Also, I've checked and found that attacks rolls are not made with disadvantage in Dim Light, only Perception rolls are. So Thenmer's previous attack that missed now hits. Sorry for the confusion.)
The blob follows Dolgrim, and eventually attacks him. Meanwhile, Barthrum drags Thenmer away, who suddenly wakes up to the healing powers of his friend.
Blob's Attack: 16 Damage: 10
The blob hits Dolgrim as he's leading it away. The blow hurts a lot and leaves an acidic sting where it hit him.
Dolgrim dries his head from the sweat and blood caused by the battle, leans on his hammer and takes a deep breath, trying to calm down. A few less of these brutes in the world. Thenmer walks back to the entrance

"OK, back away there"
He turns to where he can see the others in the distance and shouts as loudly as he can mange
"More trouble in here, come quickly!"
He looks at how far they are away and the stone in his hand, waits moment to see if they respond and then picks up the stone to speak into it.
"Dolgrim, Barthrum, there is another of those things here. Return as quickly as you can"

Barthrum will certainly run in full sprint once he learns about the voices in the head of Dolgrim.

And Dolgrim sprints back to the temple
Thenmer shouts at the two of them

Barthrum and Dolgrim keep running towards to temple as fast as they can.
Thenmer is up!
Varielky
Thenmer sees them hesitate and shouts again
"Get away from it, we have to lead it into the open. Run!"
He tries to call up his petty little magic again, he knows it is useless but there is nothing else to do
(Well try again, for what its worth, with fire bolt. To hit 15 damage 1 )
The fire hits, though it's hesitant like Thenmer is and doesn't seem to do much damage.
Dis and the old dwarf listen this time and run away, dashing out of the temple. The monster, sensing its prey running away, makes haste for the one creature still around - Thenmer. Updated Initiative:
Monster: 11
Thenmer: 7
Barthrum: 4
Dolgrim: 5
The monster moves towards the three, trying to attack (1) Barthrum. Attack: 11 Damage: 13. Barthrum easily blocks the attack with his shield as Thenmer struggles for his life below him.
Thenmer's death save: 17. Thenmer is still unconscious, but at least his situation doesn't seem to get worse.
Dolgrim is up!
Varielky
Dolgrim tries to place himself close to the monster and his fallen friend. And smashes the jelly trying to get it's attention.
Attack: 11 Damage: 11
((I think 11 should be enough to hit it, if not ignore the next part. Also I am not sure if you allow this without opportunity attacks))
Seeing that his attack smashed part of the creature, he slowly tries, taking a small steps, to move the creature away from Thenmer.
Get him to safety!
Shouts he, when the creature has it's attention focused on Dolgrim.
Attention roll: 17, for cha roll, the bonus is -2, for str it's +3

Dolgrim is up again!
Varielky
Seeing that Thenmer is back on his feet again. Dolgrim stops and again attacks the monster.
Attack: 14 Damage: 5
(did we skip Thenmer's turn? It went Blob (kill Thenmer) -> Thenmer (death save) -> Dolgrim -> Barthrum (Thenmer alive again) -> Blob (hit Dolgrim) -> Thenmer ?? -> Dolgrim)
Anyways, Barthrum will pull out a javelin and move up to Dolgrim, next to the blob and then stick the blob with the javelin:
Attack: 14 Damage: 9
Ah, sorry. You're right. Thenmer does get a turn.
Varielky
Thenmer wobbles weakly to his feet and staggers away from the thing as best he can.
"Uh, right, where was I?"
He says in a dazed voice. Then seeing the monster he reflexively raised his hand and tries to focus his will on calling up fire to hurt the thing.
(Fire Bolt to hit 18 damage 9 )
