Peek is hesitant and nervous to attack his former bosses, and he isn't entirely focused. His arrow goes wide.
Pocket swoops in to get the cannon closer to the action.
Bugbear 2 just saw his comrade get sliced, stuck and exploded. It's completely freaked out, and makes a break for it up into that curved hallway. It starts to yell as well in common "Intruders!! Be at the ready!!"
Farok is up!
Maps are updated. I kept bugbear 2 as visible in case Farok chases, but right now I don't think any of you can see it anymore. I also opened up some of that hallway because Farok and Pocket can likely see more now.
Farok takes one step back into the tunnel and holds up his shield watching around the corner to see who might approach saying “There may be more coming.”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Cami is ready to move in and pursue but then Farok backs up right in front of her. "Uh. Got it." Not feeling the need to object right now, she just stands behind and proceeds to press the button to activate the Protector once more. This time, hopefully, it reaches Farok.
Movement: None.
Bonus Action: Activating Protector Cannon.
5 temp HP to everyone within 10 ft. of it. (That'd include Farok if he went where I think he went.)
Farok backs up with shield at the ready and light on his feet, and senses the protecting energies from Cami's cannon take hold. Cami also remains light on her feet in the hallway.
Fril readies his arrows and moves up as described. (Fril, let me know if I have your movement correct on the map as I was confused on the staying back and moving into the main room parts. I will fix if need be!)
Next Round: Peek, Pocket, Bugbear 2, Unknown, Farok, Cami, Frilvoril
You all hear goblin speak now echoing through the hallways and it sounds like they are panicking.
Peek is up! He would also say "Ohhhhhh bugbear really dead! New friends strong. Maybe bugbear run to get more bugbears? Goblins in there too.*sigh*"
Others feel free to queue your moves for processing if appropriate.
"Are we just planning to wait for them?" Fril asks incredulously of Farok. The elf seems to have a better understanding of group combat than any of them. Even Fril, who spent some time in the guard, did most of his investigations alone, so he was more than happy to defer to the greatsword wielding warrior in situations like this. He keeps his bow prepared and trained on the doorway in front of them.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
“The mark of a successful DM is when you have caused more player deaths with doors than dragons, demons, or devils.”
Stepping forward Farok turns to the goblin and says, “Will they come for us? Stand guard? Or run?”He then uses his movement to follow, but keeps his shield up, adding to Fril “Let us see if we can bring them to us.”
The bugbear continues to bark out commands mostly in goblin speak, and then it runs around the bend, and them the next moment you see the east door crash open as a wave of goblins emerge! You see 6 of them. Fril would definitely see them, anyway. And likely Farok too.
Fril, I believe you have 2 arrow shots readied, and they will indeed shoot true and kill 2 goblins instantly. Did you want to still have that happen, or will you change that readied attack now that you know that goblins are coming out the door and not a bugbear? The goblins will indeed be hostile upon opening the door and will be shooting arrows and/or charging you all. They may or may not make it to you. Let me know and then I will continue with this post!
Fril holds his arrows, not wanting to fire upon the goblins. He calls out to the group, "We are waiting for the bugbears, remember!" To Peek he shouts, "Do you want to talk some sense into your friends?!" He waits for the bugbears, the real targets, to come out before he releases his arrows.

“The mark of a successful DM is when you have caused more player deaths with doors than dragons, demons, or devils.”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Fril, you hold your arrows as the goblins pour out of the door. You know damn well you could've ended two of them with ease, but you restrain.
Peek can't actually see any of them yet, and given the turn order I think these goblins are going to at least get their arrows out before Peek has a chance to see them, let alone say anything to them. He likely heard the goblin speak, but it was mostly from the bugbear until the goblins came into active play. He may have been able to get out something to the nature of "No! Do not attack us!" but in this moment it won't be enough for these goblins to not shoot at intruders.
They rush forth. They yell some goblin war cries and let loose arrows.
#1 shoots at Farok: Attack: 20 Damage: 7
#2 shoots at Fril: Attack: 22 Damage: 8
#3 shoots at Fril (half cover for Fril here): Attack: 12 Damage: 8
All of the arrows go wide and hit the stone walls. The goblins instantly look a bit scared now that none of those initial shots hit.
The rest of the goblins since they really have no shot, just yell something in goblin that Peek might translate as "intruders, kill."
Farok, hearing the door open and the goblins come out, thought that this might happen. Stepping around the corner and standing tall as he grips his blade ((rage 2)), he suddenly disappears, reappearing past the door between goblins 4, 5, and 6. He looks down at them at says, “I’ve made a promise not to kill you, but do not get in my way. He, on the other hand has no such protection.” Farok then steps north one square and swings at the bugbear.
wild rage teleportation, appearing within vision just past the door. Stepping north would provoke opportunity from goblin 5. intimidation if it helps on the goblins 10 attack on bugbear: Attack: 13 Damage: 12 attack on bugbear: Attack: 18 Damage: 11
Farok, you move ahead the one square and then the rage kicks in and the wild magic takes effect. Everything else happens as you've described, and the goblins look at you with surprise as you appear, say your piece and make your move and attack. One of your slashes with your longsword lands and cuts the bugbear deep. (-11). I think had both of your attacks hit the bugbear and/or one of them was a crit, and you had a better intimidation roll, the goblins would stand down, but at this point there are still a lot of them left, and the bugbear after being slashed would continue to bark out commands for the goblins to attack. This might change as we proceed here, but for this moment that's how it goes down. They are still hostile in this moment.
So the goblin does in fact take that opportunity attack swing with its scimitar to your muscular back: Attack: 9 Damage: 7 and the feeble attempt misses completely as you are too quick.
Cami is up and then Fril!
Maps have been updated. I have uncovered some of the map according to what Farok can now see. Turn order is on the 'Action' tab.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Cami walks a little further in and takes a look inside the room to formulate a plan. The first step is to grab the Protector out of Pocket's talons, which she quickly does before letting it drop to the floor. Then, she grabs a metal piece from one of her pockets. It looked quite similar to the ones in her electric glove. That piece, she hands to Pocket to hold with one of their talons.
The preparation was all made, so Cami lets Fril know what she's thinking. "Hey, can you make sure those goblins stop attacking? That's all I need right now." As she's explaining, she presses the button for the Protector again.
Movement: 10 ft. north
Object Interaction: Grab the Protector Cannon
Free: Drop the Protector Cannon (I'm imagining it'd land behind Cami, south of her. But, it's up to the DM.)
Action: Ready - [Tooltip Not Found] Shocking Grasp through Pocket (Trigger Condition: Pocket is within range of a bugbear.)
Seeing Farok literally disappear and reappear past the goblins and step out of view, he also hears Farok refer to the bugbear. Knowing that there is an enemy further in, and that the goblins need to be calmed or else they will swarm him, Fril shouts at the goblins, "Wait! We only wish to liberate you from from the oppression of the bugbears." As he says this, Peek steps and reassures the goblins that this is true. "Peek find friends! Friends help goblins! Goblins free from bugbears!" He also waves his hands in an attempt to communicate to the goblins that they should lay their weapons down to allow us to pass and defeat the bugbear. He also pulls out and nocks an arrow in case a bugbear comes into view.
(OOC: Because Fril was delaying his talking until after Peek's turn to make use of Peek's 'Helpful' Bonus Action, he had to ready his action to do so and couldn't do it with a free action.)
(Fril)
Bonus Action: None
Move: 5 Feet Up to the Ceiling (Should be 15 feet in the air and out of melee reach of the goblins)

Bonus Action: Help - Helping Fril's Persuasion Attempt by waving his hands (Helpful)
Action: Ready - Attack (Trigger: If any bugbear becomes visible) (Against Bugbear (Any)) - Attack: 10 Damage: 8
Cami, all of your well thought out actions take place. Spell is readied as per your conditions and set to go if Pocket is ever in range for that spell. Sure thing about the cannon landing south of her. So this will give Fril, Peek, Pocket and Cami the 11 temp. The energies take hold!
Fril, with Peek bursting on the scene and talking the goblins down as well as your speech to them aterwards, they clearly understand that you are telling the truth given one of their own is with you, and just the way you spoke they somehow trust you. I mean, a very intimidating individual has just appeared before their eyes, and there's the bird-like creature hovering with a bow loaded... there's not much to decide for them at this point. You can tell they are going to listen to you.
Next Round: Peek, Pocket, Bugbear 2, Goblins, Farok, Cami, Frilvoril
Peek does everything that you have explained. Love the RP!
Pocket hasn't actually moved yet, so no shocking grasp yet... correct? It is their turn now. Does Pocket now fly in and land melee to bugbear 2?
Map is updated! Hopefully I have it correct - happy to retro change if need be.
For the last step of Cami's scheme, she points forward as Pocket follows her directions. The small owl flies past the head of multiple goblins and then turns around the corner where they saw Farok going last, even if Cami hadn't seen it. Pocket waits until they're up above the bugbear to drop the electrified piece of metal from a very close range just as it starts building up the energy to actually cause a shock. They then grab it one more time after it hits the floor. With that done, Pocket flaps their wings towards the bugbear hoping to be a good source of distraction.
Movement: 30 ft. east, then 10 ft. northeast, (flying 5 ft. above the air.)
Reaction: Cast the spell as Cami commanded. (Attack roll on the post for Cami's last turn.)
Action: Help to the next attack against the Bugbear.
(this is very cool to visualize! I've been noticing with each of your detailed posts, I try and stay away from describing the turn like I usually do with less descriptive players in other games I've been in. I think I've been trying to do that in this game a bit, and I'm going to stop. I think it takes away from the descriptions and sometimes I even get it wrong. For the most part I won't add much going forward unless it's some fluff with the results of the attacks. This goes for all of you because you all describe the attacks very well)
So Pocket flies in and does their thing. The piece of metal builds up energy and shocks the hell out of the bugbear as its skin and fur begin to fry and it probably doesn't smell the greatest It yells out in agony!
The bugbear still has rage in its eyes and continues to fight for its life. It kind of shoos away the 'bird', and it swings its morningstar desperately at Farok. "DEFEND XANATHAR!" Attack: 24 Damage: 21 and the bugbear manages to get its footing and let loose a swing from HELL. It connects. HARD. And it hurts!
The goblins all look at their bugbear boss like it is completely lost its mind. They look stunned and confused. They mumble a bunch of stuff in goblin, and some of it is in common "ummmmm.... no attack. these people help goblins. bugbears mean. lets stop. lets live!" (I can't justify anything else but having all of them surrender immediately given Fril's NAT20 and what is going on in this moment). They start to drop their weapons.
The bugbear looks at them in horror as it is now realizing its fate.
Farok ... is .... UP. Maybe he hears echos of 'finish him' in his mind, like mortal kombat if you've ever played that game.
Please excuse the no map update this time - just assume Pocket is above the bugbear.
Getting clocked hard by the bugbear’s Morningstar, Farok turns his head back up to face the beast and spits a bit of blood on the ground, and then grins. That hit definitely hurt, but the bolstering that the little cannon keeps giving means that he can take even more hits. Now seeing his chance, and seeing the little bird flap around he swings hoping to take the beast out. If he does he immediately turns to the goblins and says, rather calmly, “Are you next?” Hoping to scare them into dropping their weapons.
First swing with adv: Attack: 21 Damage: 13 second swing: Attack: 25 Damage: 8
