You catch just a few words, after a few tense seconds of concentration. "Up... round... hold... No! ...Yes! ... broken...fault" Coming from several voices, at least two, and interspersed with higher-pitched yowling and jabbering that has no apparent meaning to you.
Wulf shakes his head a little bit as he tries to listen in himself... maybe to identify what is speaking.
(Perception to hear, blank to identify?)

As Wulf does not speak Undercommon, the sounds are utterly mystifying. I'll let you piggyback on that perception roll, though (not a regular occurrence!) and say that you catch a whiff of some kind of rancid oil on the air, as well as a highly metallic tang as if from rusted metal.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"...Rusted metal, oil. Spilled blood? Rancid." Wulf will murmur, just loud enough for the party to hear him. He very carefully makes his way forward to try and see if he can get eyes on the things making the sound.

The silent, yet massive, form of Wulf creeps in the shadows of the street, with barely a whisper of wind to mark his passage. Rounding a slight curve of the road, now facing the center of The Sutherlane, Wulf beholds a wide iron carriage of unfamiliar design. It rides low to the ground, and is roughly twelve feet wide, it's front facing away from you. Dim grey lanterns hang from small spikes embedded at the four corners, as well as from within the thick glass windows of the carriage itself. On the sidewalk facing side, Wulf notes as well two diminutive figures in grey clothes standing and gesticulating around one of the carriage's eight heavy wheels, one of which seems to have snapped more than half of its spokes. The back portion of the carriage, facing you, seems to be some kind of cage, within which a creature resides, occasionally moving about beneath a heavy blanket. As you watch for a moment, another shorter figure exits the carriage from a small hatch in the side, approaching the others and joining in the gruff conversation with high-pitched tones, communicating anger and not a little anxiety. One of the dwarfs points up at the overarching sky, his voice rising a little louder than the others. A shrill, unnatural whine comes from the creature in the cage.
Wulf moves back to the party and quickly describes what he saw, including the cage, the whine from it, and the fact the wheel is busted.
"It is not my place to suggest a course of action, but going straight into a fight does not seem wise." He murmurs, leaving it up to the others to decide what to do.

(Alright - he had been off for a good week or so, but I see that he has been on recently, so I would like to give him a little longer to respond. I realize that he is something of the executive force on this team, so his absence is sorely felt, though Cy does control the movements of the party on the map, so presumably he could bypass Lyric's authority, though not without some relational consequences.)

It is hard to determine the distance - within 100 ft, but beyond 50.
Cy motions for quiet, then jerks his head towards the noise and mouths the word "Check?"

(Cy would probably just continue on towards where he was heading before if no one had any objections.)
