"That's a discussion for daybreak... Right now, we need to focus on moving in case whatever was chasing you got lucky and saw those dancing lights. Let's go," Louis concludes with more authority in his voice than he actually has.
"Look, it sounds like you've had a bad time. But ask yourself this, do you want to get back at those monsters? See if there is anyone we can save? We are heading that way and we will go without you but we'd rather have a couple of strong sword arms by our sides while we carry out our mission. I have a feeling if you want there will be something in this for you if you stay the course with us.
The dwarf who sent us here told us it would take two days to reach the mine, we've travelled for a day, so a day's travel or close to it seems likely, which means we must be fairly near the area marked" danger" So let's keep our eyes open, shall we?"
Lynistra thinks on the argument for a minute, though very apparently not liking the right decision. Aa she paases a tree, she shouts something angry to most, but entirely vulgar to those with understanding. "Fine. You win. I'm warning you, though: don't expect survivors or anyone in a condition to save. Have you every seen a dwarf ripped in half or thrown like a toy? I'll save you the details and say it's not pretty."

"Okay, I'm obviously not getting any more sleep and between lights and, now, singing, half this damnable forest will be on us soon - especially since we haven't moved. So forgive me if I prepare for a fray."
Louis having finished packing his things, gets up and arms himself with hammer and shield.
Coming up the road is a largish man. He's armed and wearing leather armor. He has a stumble in his step suggesting that he's quite drunk.
"There's a lass in Molbine / She is renownedly fine / I gave her my heart / t'wasn't enough / so instead I gave her... huh? Oh hello there who might you be?" he says as he approaches the group.
"There are five armed people who have all had a fairly rough couple of days between them and are currently wishing they were sleeping standing here - how about you start with the introductions?"
Turning to the others Kaemar whispers, not very quietly
"I'm pretty sure I can put him to sleep and we can just keep walking, just putting it out there..."

"Ah, I say, hello. Armed is right, would have to be in these parts, yes? Yes, well, Virgil Sannarinas is my name. Gentleman and scholar of the road and all it has to offer. Just traveling north along this road. Headed north? Would you care for some company?"
He comes in to the camp and leans against a tree, steadying himself with one arm. with the other he pops the top of a bottle and takes a drink.
His weapons are sheathed but close at hand. There is no scarf or identifying markings. But his armor and weapons are well worn. From your past you can tell there is something off about this drunkenness. Something not quite true.
Kaemar looks over at Louis, hoping to see some sign of his intentions so they can work in tandem. She also looks to make sure Merrick is nearby. There have been a lot of new faces tonight and she is still wary of the elf and the half orc and especially of this new arrival.

(Wanting to try something crazy, WARNING TO DM: HOUSERULE REQUEST INCOMING. Espwcially considering the last 24 hours, Lynistra is extemely leery around new people, especially ones that just pop up armed. I want to prep Frostbite in case he gets frisky. However, my interaction is going to be in close-quarters, so opportunity attack against me, right? Should I roll a Stealth check to try and hide the spell's ambiance?)
Lynistra steps forward, open hand resting on the pommel of her shorter sword, "If you're willing to share some of whatever makes you so delightfully care-free, then by all means, come and sit!" Ice begins to form in Lyn's hand, frosting the end of her weapon. Doesn't hurt to be too careful...

Everyone hears as crack of a branch. Followed shortly by what appears to be singing.
"Long is the road and dark is the way / that takes us home away from the fray. / The middle of night is safest from / The dangers of midday glum."
"Just how busy is this gods damned forest?"
Kaemar looks around for the singer she can hear.
