Merrick responds to Neema "Well, my brother would always say why kill when you can keep someone alive? I'm not my brother, and this fellow did try to kill us fair and square. But, we should learn more. How did he find us? Why would he attack a group of clearly armed people? There's a lot here not adding up. Let's tie him up."
Merrick looks around the body for anything of interest. Weapons, etc. He then ties up the human, while whistling a merry tune to himself. "Interesting night this has been!"
Around the body are his scimitar and dagger, now covered in blood both his and some of yours. (the second dagger being with Kaemar now) Virgil has a small pack with rations and a coin purse on his belt with 3gp. His leather armor is unremarkable, as are the weapons.

Louis walks up to Kaemar after dealing with Virgil, pops out one of his healing potions opens it up and holds it out to her, "Here, drink up - save yours. I need to reserve what little divine strength I have in case more of these bandits show up." // 8 healing if she drinks the potion //
Then he proceeds to work on the blade in her stomach, using some of the residue from the potion's stopper on the wound as he gently removes the dagger. // Medicine Check: 12 //

"Thanks for the help, Louis, but take this potion in return. I still have another and I wasn't asking for your help to get you to give up your own supplies, just to help with removing the blade. I didn't want to kill myself taking it out!
She gives Louis back a potion from her own two.
"That horn - he must have been expecting to get help by blowing it, if they could have heard it they must be close. Neega, you were hurt too, can you carry on? I have another potion if you need it? We could be getting company at any time, do we move that bastard and try and get some distance or do we stay here and interrogate him?
One last question, you've saved him from dying but what about when he has served his purpose? Are we going to kill him, leave him tied up? - he was going to murder us, he nearly killed me, I don't want him sneaking around after us in a few hours, he already proved he could track Neega and Lyn from the mines easily enough and our mission doesn't give us much room for manoeuvre, we need to stay in place until Aegis gets to us, we would be sitting ducks if he comes back with a gang next time.."

Kaemar checks that the ropes are going to keep Virgil in place and that she is far enough back to avoid a bite or headbutt, she then slaps him hard across the face, and squats nearby in front of him as he comes to.
"You've lost a lot of blood, try not to move to much, it won't help you and you'll only end up opening those wounds and bleeding out, I'm sure you don't want that. Although attacking us on your own wasn't the most sensible of choices I don't think you are stupid so please understand this - there is a version of this conversation where you tell us everything we need to know, you don't hold out on us and you don't lie. In that version you live, in all the other versions I stab you in the gut with the dagger you threw at me and I watch you die, tied to a tree like a big helpless fool."
Kaemar draws the dagger out from her belt moving it around in front of Virgil a little.
"I will tell you, it hurt like hell, but then you've suffered a fair amount of pain recently too haven't you, pretty burned up in places aren't you?"
