While on the boat to Neverwinter, and if Kay tells him about the fight club, Ben will say,

"Very interesting. No magic? I'm sure we can find a way around that. Was there a bet limit?"

"No magic. I would have shadowed a time or two if I had the option! They seemed pretty set on the no magic bit. Ash might have a clearer idea on the betting, I didn't want numbers taking up room in my head while I was fighting."

"You know I can motivate people without using any magic! A few close calls can also be fixed by my pointing out how you're doing it wrong."

He looks back towards Marshswamp,

"Another reason to get back. That town is going to make me, us, so very rich. I am honestly surprised how lucrative it has been, but absolutely not complaining."

"bruh..."

"Some places are just in need of some big damn heroes to fix their problems. Good for us that they needed the 'heroes' part more than the 'big' part!"

"Don't assign your stature deficiencies to others, the rest of us are at least average."

"Average to you, perhaps, I'm the one rolling with a bunch of galumphing great big clumsy folk. Good thing I'm quick enough to stay out from underfoot as you lot blunder around!", Korrik's grin lets Ben know he's just teasing back.

Ben looks out to sea then back to land then out to sea and responds to Kay,

"Is it just me or has this been a very long trip?"

He pauses as if in thought before continuing with slightly smug tone,

"Though, every time I am stuck in an enclosed space with you it does seem to make everything interminable."

"Just think how insufferable it must be for me!"

"Yes, I can't imagine the suffering of always being stuck with you at all times like you are."

He tries to give Kay a sympathetic look but can't quite can't keep the smirk off his face.

"I'm a lot of awesome in a compact package, it must be rough to be so diluted..."

Ben is still riding high on his last quip but isn't the type to not get in the last word (or the first if he can), even if it is a low blow. He cups his ear and leans down towards Kay theatrically,

"Did you say you were a whole lot of opossums in a common package and it was tough being so deluded? You're so far down there, but it would actually explain a great about you."

"Oh, Ben! You must be getting old, your hearing is going! How tough it would be to be a bard if you go deaf and all you can hear is silence."

Korrik's mouth keeps moving as the room goes still, before he grins and leans back, interlacing his hands behind his head.

Ben's expression sours a bit at not being able to give a proper rebuttal but does give his most eloquent hand gesture and then makes a half sized Kay with a rather dim look and wide grin standing on his head between them, facing Kay.

((One of two spells that doesn't have a verbal component and the other seemed like it might be a bit too aggressive!))

Kay flicks his fingers and shadows coalesce around the daft looking two dimensional image of himself doing a headstand before fading, revealing bare halfling buttocks on Ben's side, pointing right at him.

Kay mouths, "I CAN DO THAT TOO." with a slow wink. He settles back and closes his eyes, hands behind his head once again, but after a few moments, cracks an eye open to see Ben's reaction.

Ben has made a graceful departure, made more graceful by the fact one cannot hear what he is saying.

Korrik cracks an eye open, and seeing Ben has retreated in defeat, he lets the silence spell drop.

A wet, very fishy smelling, splat hits Kay's shoulder as a little dragony form wings it's way past to land on Ben's shoulder.

Ben pats the dragon affectionately as he keeps walking across the deck.

Grumbling, Korrik smears the splat on Ben's pillow and changes his shirt before rolling over and going to sleep.
