Ben, you make your moves and speech. The torch also goes out, and you move south into that passage mouth. Now, in other circumstances I think the boss would've been on to something by now as he is a magic user himself, but he wasn't paying all that much attention to the torches and this is all happening so fast. And now it's dark in there!
Grix looks in confusion at the other torch going out, and then sees the skeleton. "AAARRGGGHHH!!! SKELETONS LOOSE! SKELETONS LOOSE! GRIX PROTECT!" he yells as loud as he can as he rushes forward towards them. He brings his longsword above his head with two hands and then down on the skeleton."HOW YOU GET OUT?!"Attack: 18 Damage: 6 and some bone matter chips off the skeleton along with a few big chunks of bone.
The other hobgoblin hears its comrade and comes running towards the shouting. It's a little muffled, but Grix was yelling loud.
The woman yells "Ahhh! What the fork! Skeletons loose?? I can't see for fork sakes!" and she moves in the dark a bit towards the boss. "I can't see shite!"
The boss says "WHO LET THE SKELETONS OUT! WILLARD?! DID YOU?! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE!?" as he raises an arm, snaps a finger, and creates 3 small floating orbs which dimly light up the sections of the map I've shown.
((Trying not to meta at all and imagining what Ash would hear and think... Loving the map. Loving the set up. Amazing!!))
Ash is waiting and listening. She hears the hobgoblin shout and say he’s going in, to ‘protect’. Then she hears the clatter of sword on bone... This all sounds like exactly like what they wanted: the thugs fighting the skeletons...
Pleased with how it’s going, and not hearing anything that makes her think the party are in trouble (yet).... she waits again... and encourages Ess to hold a moment longer too!...
Korrik will sneak past his illusion, staying low as he follows the eastern wall of the room he's in down to Ash, shhing her quietly from a bit away if she doesn't note his approach.
"I hope Ben has the good sense to keep up the ruse, but get out of the way! We keep an ear out for him in trouble... There was something glowing behind the skellies, by the way... maybe that death obsessed alchemist that Willard mentioned?"
((Think he should be able to make it to just west of her, where he'd be out of view of anyone peeking over his boulder into the chamber.))
((I am glad you like! Having a blast myself thinking about how these enemies would act.))
Ash continues to wait and give the same signals to Ess.
Korrik makes his moves down to Ash, unseen or noticed by the skeletons. Not even a chance.
The skeleton beside Grix hisses and swing back at the hobgoblin with its ragged shortsword. Attack: 9 Damage: 8 the sword hits Grix's armor.
The next closest skeleton also moves forward, kind of swarming Grix! Attack: 21 Damage: 8 this one finds its way into the hobgoblins flesh! It's a deep wound. Grix yells VERY loud in pain.
The rest of the skeletons click and clatter and hiss forward!
The man in the larger cavern runs west now that there is light. "What in the actual fork!" as he starts to go over to help Grix.
The man in the lower passageway gets to those boxes (difficult terrain) and yells to Billard"Willard! What the HELL is happening? How the hell did the skeletons get out? Is the boss ok?"
Ben, you respond, take out your crossbow and move forward a bit.
Grix continues to yell out in pain. "AAARRRGGHHHHH!" and he swings his sword again. Attack: 7 Damage: 10 the sword hits the skeleton but does not do any damage to any of the bones.
The other hob dashes over the boxes in that passageway. "HUMAN SLOW! MOVE!"
The woman also moves forward to see what is happening here with the new dim lights. "FORK! MOVE, WILLARD!"
The boss also moves forward trying to get a look at what is going on. "Well FORK Willard, who the hell did then? FORK! FORK! FORK!"
The rest of the skeletons along with the hat skeleton basically plug up the entrance to the cavern. It's a bunch of clattering hissing skeletons all together. Grix would be yelling "CANT HOLD!!! CANT HOLD!!! TOO MANY!!!"
The man closest to the action moves forward 10 feet, sees all of the skeletons and yells out "FORK! THEY ARE ALL OUT! WE NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE! TO THE BOAT!" and he's going to start running the other way into that passageway.
The other man also follows suit after hearing the warning from his comrade. "Are you SERIOUS! FORK!"
That hat skelly would also be trying to chant various things as this is happening. Trying to be scary. "You shall now bear witness to my power!" but it might be stumbling and tripping over all of the skeletons in front of it which might lessen the intended effect. The skeletons are likely an annoyance to this animated skeleton which has a much higher intelligence than the mindless ones in front of it.
((Korrik will be holding position on his turn. Ready to jump into action when needed, but wanting to wait as long as possible to let the smugglers and skeletons battle it out.))

*the man in the main cave would've said to the woman "Yeah, go and see what the hell is up over there with the torch. Stupid hobby."
Billard makes a show of looking in the direction of the skeletons and squinting saying loudly,
"Uh...what's making all that noise over there? Can't see spork..."
He backs up slowly to end just west of the woman and turns to look towards the boss,
"Uh? Boss?"
He then puts out the torch in that room and heads south two squares.

Billard is up!
Map is updated!
*just saw the crossed post!
Will make the next post as soon as I can.
actually Billard you will have to also respond to the man.
"Skeletons and fork if I know how they got out! The boss is good. Where's Ruth?"
((Changing the movement to just go up to the intersection.))
Ben, you respond, take out your crossbow and move forward a bit.
Grix continues to yell out in pain. "AAARRRGGHHHHH!" and he swings his sword again. Attack: 7 Damage: 10 the sword hits the skeleton but does not do any damage to any of the bones.

Dashes readied! Ess also does the same. His palms are starting to sweat.
Meanwhile, the skeletons continue their assault.
The one beside Grix swings its sword again. Attack: 7 Damage: 4
Grix moves to the side.
The one diagonal takes another swing. Attack: 12 Damage: 6
Grix dodges it again!
The rest of the skeletons along with the hat skeleton basically plug up the entrance to the cavern. It's a bunch of clattering hissing skeletons all together. Grix would be yelling "CANT HOLD!!! CANT HOLD!!! TOO MANY!!!"

Ess hold his position like a boss.
Billard is up!
Map is updated.

move, idiots
Billard looks around to the boss,
"We running boss or can you do something? Come on the rest of you! If Grix can fight'm so can we. Right boss? We back up and shoot'm as they come?"
He lifts his crossbow and moves to stand behind the woman.
((Held crossbow attack for a skeleton.))
((Korrik will be holding position on his turn. Ready to jump into action when needed, but wanting to wait as long as possible to let the smugglers and skeletons battle it out.))

Billard moves behind the woman, crossbow in hand.
Grix keeps yelling "TOO MANY! TOO MANY!" but he continues to hold his ground like the fearless grunt that he is. He swings the longsword once more.
Attack: 7 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
The sword connects and the skeleton breaks completely apart.
