For Ann's turn, she hops off her horse and draws her rapier, feeling much more confident with her feet on the ground. She looks back at Rowan and Quinry. "Stay there, I'll make sure they don't get closer," she says, before looking over the town trying to find what's the current closest rat swarm to the three of them. Upon finding it, she runs towards it with great speed, and then she plunges, trying to get as many rats from that swarm pierced.
Attack:17Damage:12 Piercing
With whatever movement she has left, she walks back towards Rowan and Quinry, keeping her guard up and preparing for the next attack to come.
(Thanks to mobile, I have great speed, and I can't get hit by an attack of opportunity from the rats.)
Bryn sees the musician behaving abnormally and the look of terror on his face. Suspecting that the rats and the music are some how connected, he sprints over to the stage intent on taking the instrument from the musician.

Alright, I have 7 initiatives, and Quinry and Ann go before the monsters. After the monsters go, you two will get another turn. After this point, turns will be resolved in the order of posting, so if you want to coordinate with other PCs, either specify who you want to go after or wait until after they've posted.
Quinry, the nearest rat swarm is still near the edge of the stage, about 20ft away. You rush up to the stage and let loose a haymaker, but just then a particularly rabid looking rodent lunges toward you. You dodge the attack, but it causes you to miss wildly with your own attack. Do you retreat, go into a rage, or stand your ground?
Ann, seeing Quinry rush in, you dismount and follow. You attempt to skewer some of the rats, but your blade finds only air. You choose to withdraw back next to Rowan. No rats are able to touch you as you withdraw.
Rats:
Half of the rats clustering the stage roil into 4 swarms and move into the marketplace. 2 Swarms move into the rows of stalls, wreaking havoc among the nearest stands. The first swarm attacks a nearby horse, tugging desperately against the post its lead is tied to. Attack: 5 Damage: 6The second rolls over a nearby vendor, the unfortunate Marcin, who desperately tries to swat away the swarm. Attack: 14 Damage: 4
Another swarm moves to envelop you Quinry, and you feel yourself being covered by a multitude of rats crawling over each other in a mad attempt to get at you. Attack: 22 Damage: 10 ((OOC: Quinry I'll allow you to rage as a part of your first action if you want too. The first ones free, after that it'll cost yah. ;) ))
The fourth swarm moves up the northeast side of the market in the direction of the mortuary. It is following a mass of people fleeing into the city hall, which has 2 guards posted at the door. About 10ft from the door, the swarm pauses to wash over a dairy farm's market stand, leaving nothing but scattered crumbs in its wake.
Meanwhile, the rest of the town with the exception of the guards at city hall have begun to flee the marketplace en mass. The musician on stage is still playing, but their body is now bent over in pain, and they begin to display some strange features: Hair has begun to grow on their face and hands, and their fingernails have begun growing at an unnatural speed. Half of the rats that originally came to the stage are still there, swaying in rapt attention to the music.
OOC: Whatever works best for you 🙂 It was nice to see everyone else’s Init to help group coordination since some people’s action were based on what others did before them.

((OOC: RAW, I have to move and/or enter rage on my turn, but If your letting me do it now, he'll retreat, letting the armed stranger do most of the fighting))

Rowan, startled by the sudden chaos erupting, has to spend a moment fumbling around in her pocket for her wand. She urges her horse a few steps backwards so she's behind Ann and Quinry. Hoping that people are too distracted to notice her, she performs a quick series of gestures accompanied by muttered words, casting sleep in the air above the musician so they are the only one caught in its radius. (Affects them if they have 26 hp or less)

(OOC: The DM said recently that turns will be resolved in the order of posting, so you can still do that based on what the last people said before you. At least, that's how I understood it.)

Rowan instinctively recoils, clutching her wand close to her chest. After a tense moment, she relaxes. "Sorry. I'll explain later. Just... you can't tell anyone, okay?"

In my rush of reading it through I missed that part. Thanks.

Vedui
Now feeling foolish that he left his spear in the Mortuary, Vedui runs at the rats and attempts to kick them out of the way and off any other citizens....he also thinks back to the bite marks on the two corpse he has been carrying...and will turn to Bryn right before he runs at the rats "The bite marks we saw...could it be!!!!!"

I meant if you want to change your post so that you enter your rage and retreat during your turn, I'd allow it. Either way, the rats will attack you unless you're able to move more than 30ft back. Just let me know what you'd like to do.
Bryn looks from the musicians to Vedui and yells, “The musician, he's changing!!” while pointing to them. He also alters his plan of action from sprinting to try and separate the instrument from the musician to sprinting to a rat free space while readying his bow.
Point of clarification: There is only one musician. The dancers that were a part of the same show are fleeing with the crowd. Bryn, are you still trying to close the distance toward the stage, or keep out of range of the rat swarms? And drawing the bow is a free action, so unless you are taking the Dash action you can still attack this round.

Ann takes a look over the battlefield, the rats seemed to have scattered and none of them went after Rowan, but that wasn't really what mattered. Protecting civillians, although not her job, was also important, so she should start with the closest one. She goes over to try and help Quinry who was in combat without a weapon. One plunge from her rapier, aiming to avoid actually hitting Quinry.

Jared
Jared will attempt to put the 2 actions together (rats stopping in front of the musicians then turn on the crowd)
Insight: 10
If he fails, Jared will make for a chair to stand up above the swarm, since he is lower to the ground than most folks.
If he is successful he will do the same action but then lobe a pomegranate at one of the playing musicians.
Hit: 6
Damage: "Fruit Salad!"
Quinry:
"ah! rats everywhere!"
he does not have his weapons with him, so he will make an unarmed strike at the nearest rat
Attack: 21 Damage: 3

OOC: a DM on another adventure did this for combat to help everyone keep track who’s turn it was which I found to be very helpful..... Just a thought.
