Jecob speaks up. "I'm happy with the blessed censer / mace that I'm using, but maybe one of you would like to examine that sword? I could useShape Waterto make some ice walls between the center of the room and that heat vent. That would help cool things enough for a quick trip into the room (and a quick exit)."

"Seen this play before, I have," Mist asserts. "Only the next king'll be able to remove the sword or summat."
He looks up at Jecob with an eyebrow raised. "Ice walls to cool the room, he says. Works w' tea so why not give it a shot?" He shrugs as his gaze finds its way back to the fish. "And you'll be goin' first t' see if the coast is cool, as it were, eh? I've been singed quite enough for one trip."
After the commentary by Mist and Kraven, Jecob will wait a little longer for anyone else to prepare to give support.
Once the group is ready, Jecob will make ice walls using Shape Water along the path from their current location to the sword. (I'm not sure about the room size, or the location of the hot vent.) The wall is only 5 or 6 ft. high. The idea is to put some shielding from the hot water coming from the vent. After the ice is set, he will swim next to it (on the side away from the vent) to the sword, and try to acquire it. (If not, take a few seconds to see why it can't be pulled out.)
After that, swim right back to the others, to minimize anything in the room from causing trouble. If the fish starts attacking, then risk the AoO in order to get back to the group and out of the room.

The room is visable in roll 20. It is an oval room that is about 25 by 30 feet.
(I am adjusting, I forgot that the book miss labed the rooms, not a big deal there is nothing "imporant about either of the rooms that can not be flipped around.)
If Kraven goes on the offensive and there's time to prepare/react, Mist will toss a pair of blasts of the eldritch variety in the general direction of the fish and hope for the best.
Jaceb's ice walls go up, one on each side of the chamber. However they start to melt as the heat keeps coming into the room. The room is safe from the heat for now.
(In post 3857, I mentioned that Jecob was headed in to get the sword immediately after creating the ice walls. The idea was to spare anyone else having to go in.
If Kraven has sprinted ahead of him, then the plans change. Jecob would stay outside and continue to use Shape Water to reinforce the melting ice walls, until Kraven is safely out.)

Kuatho moves to a similar position where he sees daggers being thrown, and he throws two darts at the fish as well, getting a better look at the situation.
(I'm guessing the 10 total for the athletics check, which is with a +8 bonus, isn't going to get the job done.)
Jecob tries to grab the sword like pulling a golf club out of a bag. More concentrated effort will be needed.

If the fish is still hanging on (what kind of fish IS this with over 48hp?!? 😅), Mist will continue to lay down covering fire to ensure Jecob can make a clean get away.
Eldritch blast Attack: 26 Damage: 11 force Attack: 19 Damage: 9 force
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
When there is time for another attempt, Jecob will grab the sword again to pull it out. (One of the others yells out helpfully that he might be better off lifting at the crossguard, instead of trying to grasp the sharp blade with his hands.) If that is successful, he will swim out of the chamber to avoid being cooked by the hot water (even if that causes an AoO by the fish).
Athletics check (in game log): 26

"Worth a shot." Kraven quietly says, getting ready to throw some daggers at the fish.
Jecob make an Arcana roll. to see how accurate you are with this.
And as Jecob does this the fish starts to agressivily swim to you all so Kraven if you wish to throw those daggers by all means do so.

Kraven trying to not hit Jacob misses with his first dagger but the second dagger hits.
Jacob sorry for missing that part of you going for the sword, make an athletics check for me to try and pull the sword free.
