Skarro looks up and around the room, then at his companions, and stands. "Skarro is tired. Maybe others are not. Skarro can keep going."
After a few moments of thought he adds, "We need more coins. If we go on we may meet big nasty. Why not wait here?" He continues thinking, brow furrowed. "Or go back to moving room."
“Rests are good, but I’m ok to continue,” Komos says, adding, “My canon only has a bit left anyway, so I might have to bring it back… but before then.” He then rings the bell on it until it dings the full 14 hp temp hp for everyone.
"Unless it was protecting the room itself?"Varn proposes. "It did store its food here, which Komos ate, didn't it? I would also get angry if someone stole my food. The room is so large, we can't look through all the boxes. Shouldn't we continue on?"
Tiamat looks sheepishly from Varn to Komos to Skarro to Varn again. She asks, "So... should we delve deeper into this unnerving room or shall we continue our journey down the long corridor?"
Varn shrugs. In the end, it might make no difference either way. "Whatever you wish. We don't know what's waiting at either place, so there's hardly a difference."
"I see... It is settled then." Tiamat says and then takes point. Going deeper in the large room, the party notices that the room is seemingly getting narrower the more they go. The walls and the floors are now covered in marble tiles. The pipes are sill overhead and they drip. The notice small outhouse like metal structures all over the place.Luckily it doesn't smell bad as its doubtful they have ever been used. There are small marble tables with indents in them and pipes to pour water. There are sections with mirrors on the wall.
By the time the party realizes the strange nature of the room, they realize they are inside this labyrinth of marble.
How do you plan to get out of this infinite toilet maze?
(( @DM: We were looking for rooms or other possible places from which the creature came. It's hard to say how we get out without an idead of how we got lost. A typical toilet stands 3' from the ground. ))
I should clarify, you didn't get lost in a maze made of porcelain toilets. Instead there are tiled walls like you'd see in a public bathroom, there are walls with mirrors and sinks, walls with shower heads, unusually tall bathroom stalls with thin doors/walls that almost reach the ceiling (The toilets are inside these stalls), there are walls with urinals on them etc. All these things from confusing, winding and twisting passages that make the maze. I think calling it "an infinite bathroom maze" would have been more appropriate.
The reason you got lost in here is because there was no clear point where the maze began. It was a very seamless transition from the warehouse to the bathroom maze. Plus the fact that this whole place has very bad lighting (darkvision makes you see things in grayscale) doesn't help either.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"I don't think we'll find coins here," Varn states the obvious. "We should turn back." That said, given that he's not sure where "back" is anymore, he asks: "Does someone remember where 'back' should be?"
If possible, he'll try to retrace their steps, based on whatever might help him remember. At worst, they'll only be lost, which they are already... right?
Skarro peers down the drain, then turns to Komos. He usually had a solution.
"Good thinking to get the water to run, though this place looks rather flat."Komos says, changing his tool into a hammer to smash the pipes under the sink and allow the water to flow onto the floor to see where it leads.
There are drains on the floor too. The water flows down those when they are poured on to the ground. As more water collects on the ground, it doesn't seem to be going in any particular direction but spreading randomly. The floor doesn't have any height difference it seems. Because of the way the tiled floor is designed though, the water does go along the gaps in the tiles and flows until it gets to a drain.
Tiamat looks up and suggests, "Perhaps someone can get up to the top of one of these... metal outhouses and see what is around us?

After an even longer period of unaccustomed planning, Skarro looks around and grins. The prospect of treasure is always a happy one.
"Or...why don't we find that things lair, or whatever it was protecting," he asks, staring off into the darkness. "This room is big."

Indering the long corridor. What he really wants to find is a safe place to rest. Drawing in a deep breath he peers into the unexplored darkness.
"Corridor boring. Lets look for its stash. Maybe even coins."
Bump.

Skarro nods, but looks to the others for confirmation.

Skarro grunts and looks around, "We're lost." he says. Has there been any sign of the lair of the creature.
He puzzles for a few minutes then tries to turn a shower or tap on as strongly as he can.
As the water flows, he follows it.
The water flows down a drain.

“It is hard to see things from down here… hoist me up!” Komos says in agreement

Skarro obliges.
Tiamat walks next to one of the stalls and gets on her hands and knees. "Here. Stand on my back me to get some extra height."
