With some extra coins in hand the party needs to decide where to go. They could take the side door in this room or they can go back to the big pull room and head down the side passage, wading through the water as they move through wherever the marble tunnel leads.
((Sorry for the extremely long wait. Things are a lot less hectic now. July may also be a little slow but not a full hiatus like June was.))
The wooden door that Varn opened leads a curving marble tunnel that curves right. There is some water about ankle deep in the middle of the tunnel with banks on either side. The tunnel itself is about 20ft wide but 10ft tall. Small circular lighting fixtures on the ceiling at fixed intervals illuminate the tunnel in a soft white light.
Tiamat walks down the bendy marble tunnel hoping to be the first line of defense in case of any hostiles. After walking for a bit, the party finds a window on the left wall. It leads to an identical looking marble tunnel. From the other side of the window, they see the grey creature staring at them.
"I guess we could also try to hunt it for more coins? It might chase after us later and find us when we're exhausted from fighting one of the other twisted beings here." Varn suggests though he's not too sure. The thing is just... staring. It was so violent earlier. Is it because it was beaten once and now knows it shouldn't try to fight them, or is it something else? Things here are so... wrong. Was it even truly there, on the other side of the window? "Or, maybe we can ask it for directions? I don't know if it will answer, but I think it's time someone admits we're probably lost."
Komos approaches the window looking through at the creature, and then letting his curiosity get the best of him, taps at the window as children do at aquariums.
The nearest door is still the one you went through to get to this Tunnel. Tiamat asks, "Do you wish to head back and get regain our bearings? Go over where we have and haven't been?"
The tunnel continues forward until it takes a left turn into an opening. Beyond the party is a long marble bridge going through a dark void. The party can see a small bit of light on the other end of the bridge with vast emptiness all around them. In the void, there are small specs of light almost as if the bridge goes through the sea of stars they often see above them at night.
Tiamat looks at the scene in front of them grimly and says, "This... I know this place. We are getting close to the source. The void you see before you is the Eternal City. The small specs of light are not stars. They are lamp lights from an near infinite amount of distant windows. Look! The lights are above us and below us. They are to our left and right. All of it is from countless buildings and homes that were once part of the many worlds that the Emperor consumed into its domain."
3 Coins added to everyone's sheets.

Skarro looks meaningfully at the wooden door, then at Varn. "That way?" he asks.
"I've long lost any direction we had." Varn answers plainly. "So that way it is." He'll then open the wooden door, and walk into the room beyond it.

Skarro nods and glances at Tiamat, then moves to open the door if she is not already doing so.

Skarro shrugs and waits for Glory to lead; if she does not, he will take point and advance slowly.

Bump. What is the party doing?
Skarro's lips tighten when he sees the creature. He stares back, wondering how fragile the window might be and how wounded the creature is.
Tiamat holds her sword up defensively, trying to see if the creature attacks them. She asks, "Should we keep moving?"

The creature keeps staring as Komos taps on the window a few times. Then it vanishes.

Skarro proceeds (perhaps behind Glory) to the nearest door.

Skarro looks back, "No. We go on!"
