As soon as they move out of his range, Skarro runs again. As with the previous two frantic dashes, he holds up the armour and runs northwest, still hoping to triangulate on the Hunter's location.
As soon as Skarro steps foot out of his cover, the sound of the Hunter's shot erupts through the forest and the projectile blows through Skarro's leg. Skarro immedietly falls to the ground from the force of the impact and helplessly watches as Komos and Zorn disappear from his vision range.
As the bolt flies toward him, an arcane shield appears in front of Skarro, deflecting the bolt into the ground in front of him. He reaches down to pick it up and continues on his way, moving and then dashing to cover. He hopes the distraction allows Varn to finally hide.
He also tries to determine how far the Hunter may be ahead, then examines the bolt carefully.
((Oh yeah, I forgot Skarro moved with his turn and not his reaction. Yeah you blocked the bullet))
Roll Investigation to see if you can determine how far away and which direction the Hunter might be.
Getting behind cover, Skarro examines the projectile. It is a prism shape with a circular base. (It is bullet shaped). It looks to be made of some strange metal. It's not iron, it's not steel, it's not mithral... it must be some kind of alloy. One might wonder how the Hunter might have access to alloys that are undiscovered but then Skarro is reminded of Tiamat's words about the monsters of this twisted place and of the Golden Emperor's realm. It is possible, no, very likely that the Hunter perhaps was a simple man or a woman of some strange faraway land or even a different world. Their world was likely consumed into the Eternal City of the Golden Emperor and they had turned into the Hunter.
This is yet another reason to fight against the Golden Emperor's machinations even harder. If the material plane is assimilated into the Eternal City, Skarro, his friends, even his goddess would likely be turned into twisted monstrosities like the Hunter.
Skarro stores the strange bolt in his backpack, and tries to keep track of the other Kobolds. After the last near-miss, he's not sure whether he wants to keep trying to distract the Hunter. Waiting it out -- at least until his friends can distract -- it might be the best option.
As soon as Varn hears the shot, he must abandon the feeling of disappointment that his illusion had no effect, and instead, just runs forward. The Hunter takes time to prepare his shots, and Varn makes use of that; dashing to a cover closer to the Hunter.
The Hunter focuses again. It still has Varn and Skarro in its sights. Feeling of Darkness and Despair seems to grip them as they scatter and move toward the Hunter.
That's when they hear a voice in their heads. It is the voice of their goddess.
"Are you there? Can you hear me? Can any of you hear me?"
Skarro frowns. Voices in my head. I remember those times. Not good. He pauses, thinking that -- just maybe -- this time is different, "Which one are you?" he asks.
Skarro is suspicious. Voices have led him astray before. "We are all here," he says. After a moment he glances toward each of the others then continues, "The Hunter only sees two of us; the rest have evaded him." he frowns at Varn, wondering why he does not try to hide when the Hunter is distracted.
"Zorn is here great mistress." Zorn says in his mind. "Zorn very sneaky and soon find hunter..." He continues moving silently towards where the shot came from.
((Sorry for not responding. Got real busy the past week. Things are better now and ready to continue))
Tiamat listens to the words and responds, "That... is good. I heard the noise and got worried. I can't talk like this for very long lest the Golden Emperor notices. Do you need my assistance? I can distract the Hunter if you require though I would rather it not come to that for obvious reasons."
There is a familiarity to the voice that reassures Skarro, "Maybe your Greatness could summon some creatures to distract the hunter so that the rest of us can hide?" he asks reluctantly. The thought of putting her in danger is abhorrent to him, and he had hoped that when the others reach the cave they would be able to safely distract the hunter.

Zorn continues moving onward.
Komos, knowing that Zorn's magic is keeping him hidden, and still afraid of another shot, follows a bit behind, staying in the zone of quiet.

Moving forward, Zorn and Komos slip out of the darkvision range of their friends.
Does Skarro run for it or does he wait to see what Varn has up his sleeve?
Also Varn's turn.
As soon as they move out of his range, Skarro runs again. As with the previous two frantic dashes, he holds up the armour and runs northwest, still hoping to triangulate on the Hunter's location.

Varn's turn.
Skarro Investigation: 6 (if he was able to use Survival because its a hunting skill, then add +4)

Sadly, Skarro is unable to figure out where the Hunter is shooting from.
Before they continue moving, Komos whispers to Zorn, “should we wait for the others?”
