"Thanks... I don't know what's wrong with me here. The locks in this town are tougher than back home it seems." Komos says, clearly a bit disappointed at constantly failing at opening doors.
Before you attempt to open the door again, I want to ask: Which door are you trying to open now? Asking because I never specified which door you failed to open the last time. Also friendly reminder to check what keys you are carrying.
Click. The lock to the back door opens, thanks to Komos and his lock picking. The back door leads to the kitchen. Opening it, the stench of rotting meat and plant matter hits you. It is dark inside but you can still see with Darkvision.
Please roll Perception for anyone standing close to the backdoor that was just opened. Will describe the room shortly after.
EDIT: Also everyone gets: 118 XP from being able to access the restaurant.
"There, you got the hang of it. No door will stand before us for long. Well, what are you waiting for? Let's go inside." Varn happened to stand behind the others so he can't really see, but the smell tells him enough.
Opening the door, Komos sticks his snout through and sniffs at the foul air, before poking his head in with the others to look around the room for danger. Perception 11
Looking through the door, the room beyond was the kitchen. It was cold. There was some blood stains on the floor. There were stone ovens and a place to wash dishes. The dishes were piled up. They haven't been washed since last night it seems. Among the piled up dishes was the pot everyone remembered seeing. There was also the cutting board and the knife. The knife and the board seemed clean. There were some bins for trash. The bins were full with vegetable pieces and animal bones. There was a single door in this room other than the one you guys came through that led to the rest of the restaurant.
Sniv booked it straight to the pot that the group had seen before. Quickly moving the other dishes to the side so that he can pull the pot out, Sniv holds it up victoriously, "Found it!" Then switching into a more curious state, he asks the others, "What do you think it means?" He glances inside and around the pot for any markings or anything that might still be inside it.
The dirty pot smells like soup. There's a hint of meat in it so the soup that was being cooked in it was probably one that had meat in it. It looks like a normal pot with no markings or anything. The party seems to see a different vision as Sniv looks around the pot.
A large meat cleaver dragging across floor.
The scream of a woman.
The sound of something being poured.
A bustling restaurant where people are eating soup.
Suddenly Sniv hears a low growling followed by very heavy footsteps. Something is heading toward the kitchen from the main restaurant. Sniv's shuffling of plates has alerted something to the Kobolds' presence and its heading their way. What do they do before the thing can come in.
Sniv hisses to the other kobolds, "Something's coming!" Sniv draws upon some natural guidance as he tosses the pot back onto the pile of dishes and rushes back to the entrance to join the other kobolds.

“The mark of a successful DM is when you have caused more player deaths with doors than dragons, demons, or devils.”
Komos also steps back, pulling out his bell spider ((protector cannon - remember everyone is already at 11 temp hp)), and holds his shield up in case something comes flying at them.
Varn pulls his dagger out, ready to fight if needed. "If it's another one like the one from earlier - be careful. Their attacks hurt."And he comes and stands in line with the other two.
The loud thumping gets louder and louder until the creature is just at the other side of the door. With a loud bang, the door flies off its hinges as a big red arm can be seen where the door was. The fist retracts and a large bipedal creature steps into the kitchen. The creature moves with a deep slouch. If it didn't it would be 10 feet tall and touch the ceiling with its head. The creature's red body seems to lack a skin, the straits of its muscles and the vessels that pump blood through it appear visible. There are hard bony growths on the flayed body which offer protection. The creature's chest, its fingers and its feet have these growths. It has a thick neck that seems to abruptly end. Instead of a proportionate head, it has a large kobold skull about the same size of a human skull at the end of its thick neck. The muscles of the neck contort and twist properly end in the skull. The skull lacks a lower jaw and has one eye socket empty. The other socket as a bulging bloodshot eye that darts around the room. The creature breathes in loud grunts and snarls, as if it is seething in rage. The sound of the creature sounds disturbingly human. Blood foams and drips from the creature's bony teeth. It's erratically moving eye locks on to the party.
Sniv reacts quickly, holding up his holy symbol, he brings down some blessings on the group of kobolds before his body begins to grow as his teeth and claws elongate. Growing into his new form, he charges forward towards the monster, placing himself immediately in front of it.
Action: Cast Bless on Varn, Komos, and Sniv Whenever a target makes an attack roll or a saving throw before the spell ends, the target can roll a d4 and add the number rolled to the attack roll or saving throw.
"What are those creactures? So chaotic! Maybe I should show them some of my own chaotic energies, ah?" Varn runs to the side, using the slight moment he was hidden behind Sniv's transformed body to prepare a spell. Not sure what form it will take, he fills his mouth with his magical energy, ready to unleash it.
Attack: 2+8 Damage: 2+7+2. Damage is Cold.
The energy in his mouth begins to turn cold as he opens it and an icicle shoots at the body of the monster in front of him. Then, Varn runs forward and stands close to the creature, ready to distract it if the others attack.
Komos gasps, wondering what sort of hell they've found themselves. As his spider-bell rushes forward with his companions to stay within range of them, he rotates his Icosahedron finding the fire button, and pressing it a flaming pellet flies out towards the monstrosity.
Varn's ball of cold flies wide and strikes a cabinet but Sniv's flaming pellet embeds itself soft meat at side of the creature's chest where there is no bone growth. It roars. The roar sounds like gagged screaming. With a white sweep of its big hand, it swats Dino Sniv away, causing him to fly off 10ft and hit a wall. Its eye locks on to Komos and it charges toward him. The huge fist breaks through the protections like glass and makes contact with Komos's face. The blow would have been bunch worse if there was no protective field set up to absorb most of the force. It still manages to break something in the Kobold's nose and cause a nose bleed.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As the monster runs past him, Varn slices at it with his dagger, but having no one else next to the monster, nothing but his skill can aid him.
Then, as the monster hits his friend, Varn lets out a high-pitched "Komos!" Before chasing after it. "Stay put monster! Who gave you permission to move?" He blows on the blade he's holding at a faint light appears on it. Then, when he reaches the monster, he tries to stab ot with his dagger, to transfer the energy to that creature.
