(OOC: 👍 )
Seeing the creature unstable, Sniv is about to strike out with another round of attacks before he sees Varn go down in a pile. Thoroughly spooked and terrified for the safety of his charge, Sniv's claws retract, and his snout returns to its normal size. Now in his normal kobold form, he hisses at the acid creature before calling to Varn, "I'm coming!" Placing both of his hands on the younger kobold's chest, Sniv lets some divine and natural healing energy flow through his hands and into Varn. Turning to Komos he stands back up in front of the creature and says, "Finish it!"
Move: Around the creature to get to Varn
Bonus Action: Wildshape (Revert back to Kobold Form)
Action: Cast Cure Wounds on Varn Varn heals for 8 HP
Free Action: Talking

Varn opens his eyes and sees Sniv above him. He blinks once before struggling to stand up. "You will pay for spilling the blood of a dragon!" Varn inhales, then exhales fire that stays alight under the creature's feet. Then, he swiftly pulls out one of his daggers and runs his hand over it as he does, then thrusts the dagger towards the creature. "Now move and blow up, or burn to death, I don't care!"
Move: Use 1/2 of his movement to stand up. Action: Cast Create Bonfire in the creature's space. Creature must make a Dex save vs DC 13 or take 8 fire damage. A creature must also make the saving throw when it moves into the bonfire’s space for the first time on a turn or ends its turn there. Free Action: Pull out one of his daggers. BA: Use Quickened Spell metamagic to cast Booming Blade and make an attack against the creature. Attack: 1+15 Damage: 5. On a hit, the target suffers the weapon attack’s normal effects and then becomes sheathed in booming energy until the start of your next turn. If the target willingly moves 5 feet or more before then, the target takes 6 thunder damage, and the spell ends.
Komos is clearly shaken by the pure horror of this creature, and its screams, as well as the fact that it it hurting his friends so much. Fidding with his Icosahedron he again rings the bell from his robot and fires off a flaming pellet towards it.

Varn slices it with the dagger and burns it with the fire. The creature makes a vicious swing at the kobold as he gets close but the attack is dodged. The dagger slashes the creature and it screeches one last time before collapsing, oozing acidic blood. Everything goes eerily quiet once again.
"What in the hells is going on here?!" Komos asks as he frantically looks around. "And what was that thing?!"
It's a bit meta, but can I just push the button on my protector until I roll max again? Making sure that everyone is fully topped of? If so, assume I've done so.

Sure. When not in combat, you can just have the robot give the max Temp HP to everyone (Which is 11 Right now) by spending 1 minute.
"Does it matter? A monster." Varn takes a moment and studies the monster. "But I don't think its head will prove anything. It doesn't even look like it can see. I don't think I can take this one - we'll have to find another. For now, however, I wonder if the dogs ran away or did this thing kill them. It will be a big problem if we'll have to carry everything ourselves."
Sniv shakes his head, "We don't really have that much to carry right now so I'm not too worried about the dogs. Besides, your injuries look pretty bad. Let's fix those up first." With that, he creates 10 magical berries in his palm and hands three of them to Varn to consume and then passes two more to each of them to hold onto. "This way we can all help each other out, in case something happens to me."
"So what's the plan now?" Sniv looks a little uncomfortable, "I'm not sure if there are more of these things that'll come out and get us if we stay and investigate. But we did say that we were going to check the restaurant before we were attacked."

"There must be someone around this town to tell us what‘s going on!” Komos says, almost exasperated. He then takes a breath and nods, “Yes... to the restaurant. Let us go see if anyone is there.”
The party walks through the quiet mists toward Hackmith Restaurant. The storied structure has windows on its sides and a large door, in the front. The second floor also has windows overlooking the street. The house does not have a yard like the smiths did. From here you can't see inside. You'd have to walk around the building to look inside.
Sniv looks up at the building and whispers to the others, "Should we try and peek inside or just knock at the door? It might be dangerous to just knock if there are other monsters inside."

"Perhaps a bit of caution is warranted after that." Komos says, looking up at the building for signs of movement. If he sees nothing he'll quietly approach the door and listen through it before attempting to open it if it seems quiet.

"If there are more of these, I'll just be more careful." Varn says, though his reluctancy to meet another one of these is clear. He then waits for Komos to listen and relay his findings, or open the door.
Komos places his head on the door. He can't hear anything. He walks around the building and finds that one side of it has large windows. Even with the strange mist, it is brighter outside than the inside so he can't clearly see what's in there. Maybe someone else can give it a look. On the other side of the building is a bunch of stone drums full of rotten food and grime. That must have been the restaurant's garbage. There is a smaller door next to the garbage drums as well. The back side of the restaurant doesn't have much features. There is just some windows on the second floor.
Having noticed Komos fail to open the door, Sniv says, "Here, let me help you a little." He then pats Komos's shoulder and offers some natural assistance before urging the tinkerer to try opening the other door.
(OOC: I assume that he only failed on one door, so he should still be able to try on the other door...)

So what are you guys going to do now?
