(Creature should make another Dex save, as it ended its turn in the Bonfire's space.)
Varn sees the creature's hands about to smash him, he breathes hot air out, causing the creature to stop short to avoid burning itself, and Varn is saved from the attack. He increases the heat coming out of his mouth further, and the flames under the creature blaze hotter for a moment once again.
Reaction: Cast Shield to raise AC to 20, causing the attack to miss. Varn still has 5 HP and 4 THP. Action: Cast Create Bonfire again. Creature must make a DC 13 save or take 3 fire damage, and the effect is maintained for the possible extra damage of standing in place.
The assault against the creature continues. Varn continues to light the fire under it and Sniv continues mauling it. Komos shoots another blast of fire but it grazes past the creature. It releases an enraged roar, louder than the previous one. It is getting extremely angry at the party. More bloody foarm drips from the end of the skull attached to its muscular body. The veins on its muscles pulsate. It raises both hands and begins smashing Sniv relentlessly.
Varn maintains concentration on the fire as he blows on his dagger gently, and the dagger shimmers with faint light. "Don't you think about going anywhere, you're staying right here!"He then tries to stab the creature again, trying to move the energy to that creature.

DeinoSniv doesn't relent even as he is smashed twice in the face. Instead, DeinoSniv powers onwards with his offensive, slashing and biting into the creature's thick hide, hoping that even though his attacks aren't fully effective, that they will wear the creature down.
Varn's blade nicks another piece off the bony shell. The kobold's taunting enraged the beast, almost as if it can understand... something but not entirely what Varn is saying. It bashes Varn but the Kobold dodges and causes the floor to crack from the impact. The unstable ground prevents him from moving away from the second fist that slams into his side like a charging ox.

Komos gasps at his friend going down and quickly moves over to him, pushing one of the goodberries that Sniv had given him earlier into his mouth ((4 hp?)). He then reactivates his protector bell for 9.
(OOC: Yep... The goodberry should heal 4 and bring him back up)
Seeing Varn go down, Sniv almost shifts out of Deino form, but Komos has it handled and so DeinoSniv continues the assault on the beast attempting to finally bring it down for good.

(Well, I guess a melee Sorcerer isn't the best kind of Sorcerer. A little sad, not gonna lie.)
Varn gasps as his unconscious body is fed to the magical berry, opening his eyes and quickly getting up. "Jusy die already, monster!" He calls. Seeing his flames died out when he fell, he inhales air and exhales it as fire that burns under the creature once again.
Move: Stand up.
Action: Cast Create Bonfire. Creature must succeed a DC 13 Dex save or take 5 fire damage. If the creature ends its turn in the fire's space, it must repeat the saving throw or take 5 fire damage.

As Varn gets up slowly and re-ignites the fire and Sniv continues mauling the creature it lets out one final roar, before it starts smoking. It screams continuously, releasing deafening sounds as the muscle slowly begins to peel off. The more muscle peels off, the more it sounds less like a monster and almost... human. Before long all the muscle has peeled off, leaving only the bones. By that point it sounds like a human male screaming. The bones strangely crumble like a biscuit and sprinkle on to the pile of melted tissue. As the creature dies, a memory bubbles up in the party. This one is much more clear compared to the others.
You slowly approach the Hackmith restaurant at the dead of night. Looking down, you reach into the pocket of your coat and pull out a key and unlock the door. You feel taller than usual. You feel like you'd be well over 5 feet. You enter the dark and empty restaurant. It's very quiet. You head up the stairs and open a bed room door. Then everything fades to haze.
You walk down the dark streets of Neverwinter. You move directly towards the blacksmith's place. You knock on the door and after awhile, the door opens. A dwarf opens the door and looks almost horrified before running off. You hear a feminine voice from upstairs though you can't seem to make out the words. You ignore it and head straight past the counter after the dwarf.
The dwarf closes the door with the glass window that leads to his kitchen. You use the handle of your axe to smash the glass and open it. The dwarf quickly runs to out into his backyard. All the while, there is distorted, headache-inducing screaming coming from somewhere.
You are outside the blacksmith's forge. The door is barred from the inside and the headache inducing scream still persists. The door to the forge is barred from the inside. You lift your axe and strike the door, breaking a small hole. You lift your axe again and strike once again. You strike again and hear a gasp behind you. You turn around.
A horrified human woman with brown hair and brown eyes, stares at you in mortal terror. She stands a some distance away from you, closer to the house but still in the backyard. Haze once again and you can't see anything too clearly. You see flashes of your axe hitting a woman's leg Then, another flash but now the leg is cut and bleeding. Then another flash with the leg even more mangled and with even more blood. The next flash you see the woman's face, contorted in horror. Another flash you see her mouth bleeding profusely. Your blood covered fingers hold her severed tongue. Everything becomes obscured in haze once again.
You are in the blacksmith's forge. Your whole body is covered in blood and so is the forge. The twitching, mutilated and mangled corpse of the dwarf lays at your feet. The tongueless woman sits at a corner of the place, crying, both legs have been mangled. You fire up the forge and start heating up a poker and then everything is consumed by Haze.
You are back at the restaurant. There are some sacks filled with waste that you dump in the trashcans outside. You finish cooking the soup, and begin serving it into bowls. You bring those bowls over to the front, now bustling with activity. There are various townsfolk sitting at various tables, who receive the bowls. There's a town guard, some porters, shop owners. No blacksmith though.
Varn almost pukes. "This is..." he manages to say, "brutal. He didn't try to kill, he tried... to inflict pain." But, there was something else that also got his attention. The experience of being larger than usual was strange... yet interesting. Could he replicate it himself? Perhaps. "After all this, I think we should take a moment to rest. I need to tend to my wounds. If we don't take too long, the time wasted will be worth more than dying to another one of these... things."
DeinoSniv quickly reverts back to his normal kobold form and listens to what Varn says patiently. He nods but is clearly shaken by the images they have just seen. He poses a question to the group, "Was it just torture for the sake of torture? Or was there some sinister purpose behind the pain that we were inflicting?" but then the kobold shivers to get the thought out of his mind, "Either way, I agree that we should rest. If we continue on, we risk running into another one of these creatures. Potentially one that is more dangerous." Assuming Komos also agrees to take some kind of rest, as they find a place to sit down, Sniv asks, "How many of these things do you think there are?"
Komos simply sits down to rest as he rings his bell ((11 temp hp all around)), shaking his head at the images flowing through, saying only, "It wasn't us inflicting that pain... we're here now."
Sniv thinks for a second and suggests, "We have already cleared out all of the blacksmith's shop. That makes it seem like the safest place to rest, right?"
