(( Skarro is not using his reaction to run, but he will use his turn to run...if he uses his reaction then he can't re-use it to cast shield if the Hunter attacks. What he *should* have done is readied an eldritch bolt for the moment he saw the Armour. ))
I had used 2 before, according to the sheet, and after converting, got those two back. I also deducted the spell slot. I didn't add the HP in case it somehow doesn't hit, waiting on your confirmation for that.
Thank you for the update.
Skarro makes a run for it and with a loud bang, the Hunter fires a shot at him though it hits the armor plate he was carrying and bounces off, leaving Skarro startled but otherwise fine.
Varn successfully siphons energy from the armor but it seems he wasn't able to siphon enough. The armor counter attacks with a very well aimed punch to his face (Do you shield?). Meanwhile he hears the loud boom of the Hunter's shot. If he wanted to flee, now might be the time to do it. But would fleeing like this bring him to more danger? That would be something to consider.
As he breaks cover and sees the Hunter's bolt bounce off the armour plating, Skarro offers a prayer of thanks to the goddess and runs northeast then north to the next cover he can reach, hoping that the Armour remains blind and unable to navigate as speedily as he in the forest.
Movement: 30' Action: Dash: 30', trying to keep ahead of the Armour
The armour's fist is swift, more than what Varn can physically react to. It is good, then, that magic is even faster than that. All it takes is for Varn to exhale out, and the magic empowers the air that leaves his mouth, causing it to blast the armour's arm away from Varn's face.
(Using Shield, spell slot marked on the sheet.)
Varn doesn't only defend himself, though. Once again he tries to siphon the enemy's life force to bolster his own. Then, he makes order in the wild draconic forces within him, storing them ready to use in a moment's notice.
Vampiric Touch: Attack: 16 Damage: 9.
BA converting all five Sorcery points to a 3rd level spell slot.
As Skarro runs, he notices that the armor doesn't give chase but rather slinks back into the forest. Then he hears another armor moving. The Hunter is sending a different armor to try and keep Skarro away from cover so it can finally shoot him.
Varn lunges again and misses. This time though, he is punished for his poor aim and the Armor smashes his face in with its hard metal face. (Damage done)
Zorn climbs the tree. Trying really hard he notices what looks like a black object at the top of the tree. It must be the Hunter though he can see only the slightest part of its body and nothing else.
About a 40ft Vertical distance. Because of how little of the Hunter Zorn sees, things that require attack rolls will be very hard to hit the Hunter with. But if you have spells save or suck spells that require sight, you can target the Hunter with those no problem.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Concentration check: 10. (Just in case, it rolled a 5+5=10.)
Varn raises his arms to his face but stops before touching it. He doesn't want to accidentally sap his own life force, and despite feeling the end drawing near, his connection to the magic was still firm. Once again, Varn tries to sap the armour's life force. He just needs a little more time to prepare his next spell. Just need to deflect the next attack two, if he can make it.
Vampiric Touch Action: Attack: 12 Damage: 9. If hit, Varn heals half that damage. BA: Convert a 2nd level spell slot for two sorcery points.
Holding concentration, Varn lunges again and this time makes contact with the armor's fungal bits. He begins draining and drain he does. A huge chunk of the armor's life force is drained out with this burst of will from Varn.

Free, momentarily, of the imminent threat, Skarro looks around hastily trying to come up with a plan that does not involve certain death. The armours are being used to flush him out; they are bigger than him and stronger than him. He he needs to use that to his advantage. He has spent much of his life fighting and --- though he growls at the memory -- in some cases fleeing bigger folk. There are no sewers or drains here, but there are trees. He looks up speculatively, wondering of he could lose the armour by moving to the higher branches and perhaps even moving from tree to tree. Tentatively, he attempts to climb.
((Your roll was high enough to successfully climb the tree but not high enough to do it in record time. Which means climbing the tree used up your whole turn.))
Perhaps it was his many injuries. Perhaps it was the exhaustion. Perhaps it was the heavy armor. Or Perhaps it was the draining quality of the surrounding forest. For whatever reason, Skarro found it difficult to climb the tree. It was harder than any other tree he climbed before. Though failure was not a real option. Tiamat depended on him and his allies living. He managed to climb up the tree before any of the armor's could reach him.
As he entered into the canopy, he was immedietly met with three of the eyes staring at him. Luckily the eyes themselves had no means of harming him physically though it meant the Hunter could still see him clear as day even in the canopies. He noticed that the tree branches here don't provide him with total cover but the way they crisscross... that combined with the armor piece he was dragging around would make it extremely difficult for the Hunter to shoot him (Hunter has -5 to hit AND disadvantage when Skarro is in the trees)
The eyes quickly slither away to prevent getting destroyed by Skarro. Through the gaps in the leaves he could now see some of the other eyes watching him... from the other trees.
Zorn knows the need for patience. He grumbles inwardly at it, as patience is not something he likes, but he settles in, bow held ready, arrow nocked. He readies an action to shoot the hunter if the hunter moves so they are more visible to Zorn.
(Need to save my second 2nd-level slot for Pass Without Trace, so don't want to cast Web, and not sure that would help here. Only other option is Farie Fire, which also won't help much unless the hunter comes out of cover, so readying an action seems like the only option here...)

I see. That makes more sense.
Hunter's Kill Shot Vs Skarro: 23 Dmg: 18
Wait. Forgot disadvantage because Skarro is still using a piece of the previous armor.
Also just in case the rolls get changed due to Manipulated dice error: I got 28 to hit and 23 damage
Dis roll: 24
Armor vs Varn: 19 Dmg: 7
Enemy State:
Armor @ Varn: Slightly damaged
Armor @ Skarro: Undamaged

Zorn is trying to get line of sight on the hunter, that was why he climbed the tree.
