That would depend on how high you can roll on Athletics. The big tree would take around 1 minute for a NAT20. With the other trees. it would take 1 round to 2 minutes.
With how tired he was, Varn didn't notice until it was too late the armor the Hunter sent to flush him out from his hiding spot. Luckily he was able to react to the Armor rushing out of the bushes and winding up a punch just in time to avoid having his head caved in by the blind creature's metal fist.
Skarro from his hiding spot hears noises. One sounds like plate mail moving through the forest towards him and the other sounds like similar plate mail moving where Varn was.
Zorn climbs one of the taller trees at the edge of the final clearing in record time. Uh... can you let me know what it is you want to do on top of the tree so I can better tell what you see and if it can or can't help with what you're trying to do?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Although he was able to dodge the punch, Varn realises that since he cannot move from the tree without getting shot, he is effectively pinned in place. That said, he is not helpless. In fact, maybe he can make use of the armour's presence to speed up his wounds' closure... and hopefully do that while also avoiding any new wounds.
Using the opening created by the missed punch, Varn places his hand on the armour for a brief moment. Just long enough to try sapping the armour's life force to empower his own, before quickly removing his hand and preparing for the armour's next punch.
Action: Casting Vampiric Touch. Attack: 18 Necrotic Damage: 11. On a hit, Varn also heals Unable to parse dice roll. HP.
@DM: Is the armour north or south of Skarro? If north, he moves to circle around it, keeing his distance as much as possible (move + dash), ending in cover. If south, then he moves north and depending on distance, may launch an eldritch blast (but I suspect it's north of him).
Skarro shakes his head, ready to die in the name of the goddess if that is what she wills, but also ready to bolt if the armour is guided too close. He senses that the armour won't reach him this round Skarro so will wait where he is, ready to run to the next cover if the armour looks like it will get within range to attack him.
Readied action: Run to next cover if armour is going to get within melee range.
Varn lunges forward with Vampiric touch but the armor steps to the side to avoid it before it winds up another punch to hit Varn in the face. Varn manages to readjust his momentum just in time to avoid it too.
Skarro sees an Armor run out from the bushes and get within 10ft of him.
I don't think your sheet is up to date. How many sorcery points did you have before converting a 2nd level spell slot? The sheet says you have all of your sorcery points before converting the spell slot.
I had used 2 before, according to the sheet, and after converting, got those two back. I also deducted the spell slot. I didn't add the HP in case it somehow doesn't hit, waiting on your confirmation for that.
But, on his turn, as it stands close and is clearly aware of him, he breaks cover using the carapace-like armour to block the Hunter's shot as best he can.
(( Next actions depend on what happens when he breaks cover ))

Zorn athletics to climb a tree at the edge of the clearing. He would try to pick one of the taller ones there. Rolled in game log, result was a 24.

Komos meanwhile... What does Komos do?

Komos is watching is friend climb the tree to see what he can learn to report back.
PbP 🎲: Tyekanik; Moneo Noree; Korba Muris; & occasional DM:
Alright. What's Skarro doing?
@DM: Is the armour north or south of Skarro? If north, he moves to circle around it, keeing his distance as much as possible (move + dash), ending in cover. If south, then he moves north and depending on distance, may launch an eldritch blast (but I suspect it's north of him).
There are actually 2 armors, one is towards the north and that one is heading towards Skarro. The other is to the south, where Varn was.
Skarro will break cover and start moving east. What he does beyond that depends on what happens next and whether he can see either armour.Warning: The Hunter has not shot anything in a bit. If you break cover, the Hunter will shoot you.

Armor vs Varn: (Varn's previous attack missed.)

Armor at Skarro: Undamaged

Skarro may use Reaction now.
Varn's Turn. Skarro's turn.
After dodging the armour's attack, Varn tries to siphon from the armour's life force again.
Vampiric Touch attack: Attack: 26 Necrotic Damage: 13, and Varn heals half that damage on a hit.
At the same time, Varn begins to prepare himself for more exhausting castings if he'll need them later.
BA: Varn converts a 2nd level spell slot into 2 sorcery points.

Skarro stands his ground. Only if the creature will reach him this round does he try to flee.

He's 10ft away from you. If you stand your ground, the armor will run up to you next turn and punch.
