Varn closes the door in disbelief. "Thought he went here... but Skarro doesn't walk through walls. Did you see where he went?" They were pretty much lost anyway, splitting up wouldn't help any of them.
Sadly no. The Room with the safe was the room Skarro went into and now the door disappeared. Varn and Tiamat are standing where the door to that room was but there is now a brick wall there.
Varn bangs on the bricks three times. "Skarro? Are you there?" He asks, and then turns back to the other two. "Can't burn bricks, and certainly can't break 'em. Do you have any ideas? If the emperor is that strong, we shouldn't fight it with someone stuck behind bricks."
Tiamat grips her sword and says, "We can try breaking through the bricks. Swinging at it with a sword may not be effective so does anyone have anything to break through?"
Also Skarro can hear Varn from the other side. What does he do?
The wall can be broken down if Skarro and Tiamat both start hitting away at the walls but it's going to take at least 4 hours if not longer. It would take less time if either of them had something like a Maul.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Everyone take a step back!"Komos shouts, to make sure both sides of the wall know to move. Then pulling his Icosahedron out, rotates it around until he finds a side with a button resembling broken glass. Pushing that side, a low bell tone rings as a crash suddenly sounds from the area of the wall.
"Why was this place all magicked?" says Skarro. "Must be something important..."
He looks at the table, then at the safe, then at Komos. "Skarro will keep watch." He then glances nervously at the door. "Noone should leave room until we are finished."
Finally, almost an afterthought, he asks Glory if he can exchange some coins...
It would take about 15 minutes of searching if all four of you start sifting through the contents of the desk to find something. Do you spend 15 minutes to search and see what you find?
"Shouldn't we be hurrying to find the emperor?" Varn suggests, not very exhilarated by another lengthy search for a few more coins. "You know, before he gets so strong that all is lost?"
Skarro growls in frustration. Thinking and planning were not things that he enjoyed. He did them when he had to, and -- though he hated to admit it -- things did not often go as he planned. Despite this, he had to agree that now was the time for thinking and planning.
Komos was the thinker and the planner, and Skarro was a Kobold of Action! A fixer. A doer: Someone who could bash heads and escape alive when his goddess and patron required it of him.
His gaze flits between Komos and Glory, "You know what's best. Skarro follow. Room seemed important. We're not ready for big bad yet. Glory said so."
He stands in the doorway swishing his new staff in the air, admiring the faint scent of acid that follows each blow. Perfume of the Goddess, he thinks to himself, then guiltily looks at Glory, hoping that she can not read his mind.
"It seems one of you is ready to move on, and the other wants to check the table. Let's see what these warm coins say," Komos says, pulling one out and flipping it.

Tiamat walks up next to Varn after hearing him ask of Skarro. She looks around but of course, there doesn't seem to be anywhere Skarro went.
Varn now hears someone banging on the brick wall from the other side.
Bump. What does Varn and Komos do?
((are we still in the room with the safe from above? If so, Komos would be interested in checking that out~))

Skarro leaps up from examining the table and runs to the wall where he heard the sounds.
He bangs on the wall, trying for the spot where the door was, "Skarro is here, but the door is gone!"
He starts to examine the wall to see if there might be a means of bashing it down, then looks around the room for anything that might help.

Skarro has heard of illusions, even seen them recently, "Is it real?" he shouts through the wall, doing his best to disbelieve it.

con 17 or 16 to the wall.

Skarro squawks and does as requested, but takes three steps back instead.
Casting in the spell in the wall's area causes the wall to blow apart and send bricks flying everywhere. Skarro is free.
Does the party still search the table though? It would take some time to sort through it all to see what can be found.
Also for solving this, everyone gets 450 XP. Everyone leveled up.

Komos nods and unplugs his years from the shattering of the wall and heads over to the desk to see what he can find. ((investigation 21))
