I'm thinking of starting a campaign set in the homebrew world I created for my home group. It's a high magic, traditional medieval fantasy setting. Would people be interested?
Harav is a fairly young world, about 21,000 years old. It is currently in its Fourth Age.
Here's a quick history:
Nine thousand years ago, the ancient elves began a series of bloody wars with their dark counterparts, who had fallen to the worship of an evil spider goddess known as Lolth. These wars lasted for four thousand years, and the elves prevailed and drove the dark elves into the Underdark. During the wars, a great elven empire known as N'uirgalad fell when its king, a wood elf named Arion Anordil Sianstacia, disappeared, along with his bow Araialla the Dawnbringer, a weapon said to be blessed by the gods. In time, the world recovered, and human cities sprung up in the ruins of elven ones. N'uirgalad was forgotten in all but legends. The world remained mostly at peace until about thirty-two hundred years after the end of the wars, when a crazed beholder utterly destroyed the elven village of Staggrove. The only survivor was a young wood elf known as Drauchion Amdirgol Sianstacia, a direct descendant of Arion. About five years after the incident, an adventuring party consisting of Amdirgol, a moon elf sorceress named Luna, and a Languin ranger named Seraphina Holimion ventured up a mountain on behest of the mayor of the dwarven village of Knobbleheim and discovered a drow fortress. They worked their way through the fortress, confronting and killing the master. They then journeyed through his portal to the drow city he came from, even managing to kill the matron of the drow house and her daughters. They went on several adventures across several planes, becoming known as the Elmistir, or Star Wanderers. At one point, they were summoned directly to the elven gods' plane, where it was revealed that the Languin were once true elves, but were cursed by a mad wizard to be twisted into a halfling-like form. Seraphina was restored to her elf form, and Luna was selected as a Chosen of the goddess Sehanine Moonbow. The companions discovered the remnants of N'uirgalad, and Amdirgol was crowned as its rightful ruler. The legendary Arion returned alongside the Elmistir after one of their planar journeys, his descendant Amdirgol wielding Araialla. Things were right in the world again. 10 years later, Lolth, in a daring bid for power, swept in and captured or killed all the good deities, forcing the rest to swear fealty to her or share the same fate. It was a common rumor at this time that the three principal elven deities had escaped alongside the Elmistir, who had disappeared. N'uirgalad became the last refuge for the forces of good. 3 months later, as they were about to fall, the Elmistir returned, and spearheaded an attack force that slew Lolth. The N'uirgalad Empire has since spread to cover much of the continent. Most places in the world are at relative peace. Luna ascended to be a goddess in her own right, and is the new chief deity of the drow, now known as Nebula Elves.
Seems like the elves have all the fun (just kidding). Actually, if you'd be down, I would enjoy playing a dwarf character in a high-fantasy world like the one you describe. It's always fun to walk through the history of an entire race in a homebrew world, at times so like and at others totally different from more familiar settings. Would you be interested in exploring that sort of idea, AmdirgolSianstacia? Would any other players be, in similar fashion, so inclined?

I'm keen.
Odo Proudfoot - Lvl 10 Halfling Monk - Princes of the Apocalypse (Campaign Finished)
Orryn Pebblefoot - Lvl 5 Rock Gnome Wizard (Deceased) - Waterdeep: Dragon Heist (Deceased)
Anerin Ap Tewdr - Lvl 5 Human (Variant) Bard (College of Valor) - Waterdeep: Dragon Heist
Can you give us some more details about the setting? High magic sounds good to me.

That could totally work! I have lots of elven history, but next to nothing on dwarves, and very little on anyone else.
Anybody care to drum up 13 dwarves and a wizard to go kill a dragon?
Depending on details I would be very interested.

Ok, here's a map. Where do you guys want to start?
To the mountains!
Which mountains? I reckon the ones in the NE corner?
Odo Proudfoot - Lvl 10 Halfling Monk - Princes of the Apocalypse (Campaign Finished)
Orryn Pebblefoot - Lvl 5 Rock Gnome Wizard (Deceased) - Waterdeep: Dragon Heist (Deceased)
Anerin Ap Tewdr - Lvl 5 Human (Variant) Bard (College of Valor) - Waterdeep: Dragon Heist
I like the forest in the bottom left corner.
They are the bigger mountains, though to be honest I'm not particular.
Interested. Good to start anywhere. Keen to play a bookish tiefling bard.
