You realise that it is a relic, of the fallen flying city of Aeor. You notice that it's a magical blade - stronger and sharper than its nonmagical equivalents.
"Okay everyone - what's next? Do we go off and question more people now? I'm unfamiliar with this land, having just arrived here from the south. So these names don't mean too much to me. Anyone here a local who can lead our investigations?" Raadox looks around at the gathered group, hopefully.
"Okay, let's leave. Thanks, Tulgi, for all your cooperation." Raadox will make his way to the door and step out into the cold air. Gods it's cold up here. He will wrap himself up in his green fur cloak. Once outside he will ask the group, "Where to next, friends?"
You head North, towards the shores of the Frigid Depths. The place is called Croaking Cave, or something like that anyway. You're not too sure about the last bit.
Eventually, you reach the cave entrance. The slow dripping of water sounds out where it falls from stalactites down into a murky pool that fills the rough tunnel ahead. Every few moments, a loud croaking sounds out from somewhere in the darkness beyond. Characters with darkvision can see a 25ft long wooden beam lying against the west wall of the cave at the south end the pool. You are at the North end of the pool.

The pole is on the other side of the pond - someone'd have to cross the pond for everyone to use it. There's a tunnel at the far side of the pond.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The 2 frogs emerge from beneath the pond to block Sartorin's way, having tried to surprise you. Can everyone make perception checks to avoid being surprised. Then roll initiative.
May I have a look? Maybe I can learn something of it...

Brevan and Webb can just make out the forms of two giant ice frogs lurking in the pool, but the rest of the characters see nothing untoward.
Chilling kinda vibe.
Does the beam allow you to cross the pond? And is there a tunnel leading off beyond the pond?
