OOC: Hahahahaha, Crispy has learned the horrible power of irony
Martha walks up and puts her glaive between the Abbot and Grishkar, similar to how she did with Kia and the werewolf, “Now hold on. As much as I intensely dislike the necromancer, I can’t stand by and watch him be torn apart when I could stop it. I question why you would put your own daughter in harms way though. You couldn’t risk her destruction, could you? If you must fight, I propose a duel by champions. Your strongest versus ours. Let honor be settled without unneeded bloodshed.”
"I would never put my creation in harms way, but right now, I am not in harms way. You are interrupting our lessons. I am not interested in a fight, but if you are willing to take this risk, I will entertain you. I could always use more bodyparts. Your "necromancer companion" speaks of the divine..do not trifle with things you do not understand. Make your choice and be on your way. I have seen horrors on this realm and beyond. You do not scare or threaten me."
Briella sighs as she hears the exchange between Grishkar, Martha, and the Abbot. Turning to Irene she gives her a tired look.
"I swear that wizard will be the death of himself and me. He can't seem to keep himself out of trouble and even though he is very soft and squishy, he always puts himself at the front line. Despite how intelligent he builds himself up to be and how he has those undead to protect him, he is, well for lack of a better word, a ******* idiot. Almost as much as Stradh is." She whispers to the other woman, her other hand is rubbing her temples as if a powerful migraine has come on. She inhales deeply.
"However I have taken my oath and I know my duty. I will protect this idiot the best that I can."
"Don't mind if I do! More parts for my collection." The zombies begin to shamble in the Abbot's direction. "Oh, and, Martha, give your parents my regards. I'll tell them you were polite and got to live another day."
The Abbot returns to Vasilka and they slowly walk away and begin dancing again under his instruction.

"I totally agree. The abbot looks very dangerous. But you are a light, and a beacon in the darkness, Briella. But..I have to admit. Why did the Abbot want me to look in the pool? I feel like i've been..besides myself...lately. Like i'm not quite sure who I am anymore."
(Well...I'm honestly not sure how to continue truly in-character without Grish becoming a lackey kf The Abbot or going full (futile) kamikaze. Turrns out I hate losing in-character as much as I do OOC. Gotta think on this and post later. If someone wants to drag Gishkar out, there won't be much resistance.)
Grishkar stands speechless as his minions abandon his control for this being. Someone in the pit of his mind, he thrashes for a semblence of control, even shouting to the heavens for his Master's aid.

Kia gladly takes the opportunity to help drag Grishkar out, ignoring his ranting. To Martha, "What kind of creature is this abbot? For it is clear he is not human. Is he a Celestial? He knew the language," she nods towards Imryll.

“I have no doubts. He is some sort of celestial, but his purpose has clearly been perverted. As much as I would like to send him back to wherever he came from, we’re completely unprepared for him. Once we’ve collected the artifacts, we’ll be able to stop him.”

"I am not sure. He claims you look like Strahd's lost love. If you wish to look in the pool later, you may, I will not stop you. If you want us to be with you I will be more than happy to join you. For now though let us see what this nursery holds."

He might, but he's distracted by the goading of Grishkar.
“Right. Like I said, we’ll be leaving. Feel free to keep the zombies.” Martha will start dragging Grishkar away from the psycho priest.

A flash of concern and anger streaks across Martha’s face as she turns away from the abbot and marches out the door.

So according to the Abbot, there is a nursery upstairs.

The Abbot is no joke. Maybe your god is testing you. I'm sure there are other dead bodies around. Don't despair.
Martha is still dragging him by his cloak out of the room and up the stairs.
