This encounter is only for Grishkar, Briella, and Kia ONLY.
This uninviting shop is two stories tall and has a sign shaped like a coffin above the front door. All of the window shutters are closed up tight, and a deathly silence surrounds the establishment. All of the windows of the shop is a latticework of iron fitted with squares of frosted glass and locked. The door appears locked as well.
Martha waves Bors over. She whispers over to him, “Hear that? A crazy daughter is locked up in someone’s house. That sounds awfully similar to a fortune we know, doesn’t it?”
Briella stares at the store? House? What is this place? From what she knows about humans they bury their dead in the ground in a box. What a weird custom. 'No wait, now is not the time to think about this.' She turns to Grishkar and throws her arm around his shoulders pulling him forward.
"Come on necromancer, you're the one who wanted to come here in the first place, you are the one who gets to knock. And don't worry I'll be right behind you should you fall again." She whispers, trying not to alert others of the real reason they are here.
"Yes it does Martha. You know, I'm thinking some of the other towns in this realm could learn a thing or two from this Burgomaster. He's done well keeping the populous in line."
“There’s a fine line between peace and tyranny, Bors, and it always depends on who’s in charge. From what I’ve heard, this burgomaster might just be worth worrying about. Wanna go meet him? Or should he go check on the girl?”

"Actually I think I would like to meet this burgomaster. Between you and me, I've been thinking I was not sent here to kill Strahd and return home, rather Tempus has placed me here to kill Strahd and rule. It may be I was sent here to lead you to victory and restore order to this land. This burgomaster may be a bit aggressive, but his methods are effective. Even under Strahd's rule, these people have a measure of safety and order. Under my rule, everyone in Barovia could enjoy the prosperity that follows an ordered society. Say nothing to the burgomaster, I have no reason to trust him, but I might have room for him in my administration when Strahd has been removed."
Staring up at the coffin adorned sign, Kia says, "Well, it would seem they are closed now. Perhaps they are all out of unquiet dead. Grishkar, it would be best if we did not parade about this town with their recently dead. Could we not find some worthy foe for you to desecrate after we have felled it? This town seems ruled by a man willing to make dubious choices. You might get along."
Kia is trying to redirect Grishkar to the burgomaster's house.

The burgomaster's mansion has walls of plastered stone that display many scars where the plaster has fallen away from age and neglect. Drapes cover every window, including a large, arches opening above the mansion's double entranced doors. People are coming and going from the mansion, not too many, but not too little. Currently, a few guards are walking a couple of men and women in for "maliciousness unhappiness". In the main foyer of the mansion, the burgomaster, his wife, and two enormous mastiffs are there, the burgomaster chanting "All will be well!" Next to them is a hulking, murderous and malformed man that appears to be their bodyguard.
Framed portraits adorn the walls of this grand foyer, which features a wide staircase with a sculpted railing. A long, carpeted hall attached to the foyer stretches almost the length of the mansion and has several doors leading away from it, including one at the far end. Bundles of twigs are heaped against the walls.
OOC: Sorry, was at a Christmas dinner party. I’m back.
Imryll is uneasy with this town, with this burgomaster, and with this day. The stories of the burgomasters ruthless governorship bring back a flood of memories from her orphaned childhood, growing up on the streets, and her frequent run-ins with the constables. She cowers behind Bors, making a good shadow.
Grishkar chooses to stroll about town, but in an unexpected direction. As his company catches up, his raven also swoops down to his shoulder, "I do so enjoy a stroll now and again. It reminds me of a simpler time when I wasn't consumed by the glory of my Lord Reaper. That was truly a boring time. My mission this day is simple: I'm shopping for some traveling clothes." With that, Grishkar points in the direction of the nearest store.

(I hate being away for hours! Sorry, I skipped the last page that showed we went to the graveyard/coffinmaker's shop. And yes, I would've totally been all over this one had I been able to. My plan was to get directions to the graveyard as I believe we were already told where a store was. After, I would go to the store and drop the coinage to buy enough cloaks, hoods, and heavy travelling clothes (drapes?) to cover at least 4 people. Trying to rebuild my incognito undead posse here!)

So does everyone in the Inn want to visit the burgomaster?
OOC: Reminders Darth, does Martha know about the devil incident with Bors, did you tell people? Also, yes Crispy

"Go away!" You hear from inside.
OOC: Alright, not magically worrying, just morally worrying. Good to know.
As they enter, Martha leans over to Bors, “Ooo, picked a winner, good call Bors. You wanna talk to the scary man and his demon butler, or should I?”
