Kia is distressed to have Imryll taking her time to meditate (she was hoping for a quick answer, doesn’t get how Imryll’s power works). As Imryll sinks into her position, Kia will try the door to see if it is locked, but not open it (yet).

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
"No bodies?! I'm going to have some words with a cleric when we're done here. I was promised minion fodder in exchange for losing a powerful ally and supplier of all the bodies I would ever need. Damnit I will raise an army if it has to be made from shambling appendages!
(Although I would like the option of the old AD&D alternative of raising several Crawling Claws in place of 1 zombie for Animate Dead :) )

Characters:
Grishkar Darkmoor, Necromancer of Nerull the Despiser Kelvin Rabbitfoot, Diviner, con artist, always hunting for a good sale Bründir Halfshield, Valor Bard, three-time Sheercleft Drinking Competition Champion, Hometown hero
Imryll, clearly embarrassed by her half-assed attempt at picking the lock, stands up and throws her similarly weak shoulder into the door, attempting to break it open: 15
As Imryll almost dislocates her shoulder, the door crashes open, still on its hinges. The room is musty and dark. An iron-framed bed fitted with leather straps stands near a wall. The place has no other furnishings. Scurrying away from you on all fours is a young woman in a soiled nightgown. She leaps onto the bed and hisses like a cat. "Little kitty doesn't know you!" she shouts. "Little kitty doesn't like the smell of you!"
DOWNSTAIRS
You go downstairs into a large cellar, that has a dirt floor. The walls are smeared with blood and demonic symbols. There are humanoid tracks that lead from the stairway, through this room, to the next room. The door of the next room is closed. There are many unmade cots along one of the walls. There are demonic symbols and entrails everywhere, all over the floor, the walls. Lit candles are sprinkled everywhere.
SMASH! The door blows open in a shower of splinters.
Flickering candles in iron holders fill this room with light and shadows. This room has a 10 foot high ceiling and a large black pentagram inscribed on the stone floor. At each point of the pentagram rests a wooden chair. Seated in four of the five chairs are men and women in black robes with hoods. They rise to confront you. You can tell that a spell has just been completed in the center of the pentagram, but you're not sure what spell.
Kia points at the door with the “kitty” voice, and asks Imryll, “Do you sense undead behind that door?”
ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he).
Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
Imryll sits down in front of the closed door, and silently meditates for a minutes.
OOC: Crispy, does Imryll detect any undead in that room, or in that floor for that matter?
Last to know and first to be blamed...
As a free action, can I regret my life choices?

No, you don't detect any undead on the upper floor, but yes, the door is locked.

Novus is the only hurt vampire spawn left that hasn't gone downstairs. Someone finish him off.
Kia will attempt to batter down the door, though her strength is limited.

Not too shabby. One more good roll like that, or some other action with a high roll, would open it.
OOC: Briella’s Turn with Novus, right?

Novus goes down in a windmill shadowy explosion.
So that leaves downstairs and upstairs with about 8 minutes to spare. Let me type that bigger.
8 MINUTES LEFT
OOC: Scandalous! Anyway, let’s move move move! Downstairs?
