You guys can hang out in the Inn for a while, then, god help us, it's time for Castle Ravenloft. Let me know when you're ready to depart. It's hard to miss where the castle is.
Kia leads the group back to the inn as night begins to fall. She is padding along with a clear sense of purpose, and looks like she'd go to the castle right now if it weren't such a batshit crazy idea. Once there, she looks to find a quiet corner to meditate (catnap) for about half an hour, then eat, converse with the party, and plan for morning. At one point, she takes out the disfigured twisted horn she carries (not the one she blew for Martha) and holds it, contemplative. She sniffs it, gives it a kiss, and puts it away.
"We should leave at the break of dawn, clearly," she opens during the planning session.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
she/her Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands.
So for this last part of the adventure, we're going to do things a bit differently.
- First off, we will go going through room by room - basically, this last part will be linear. The castle is too big to split up or have variables, especially because this is a play by post game. So, to keep things "simplified", I will present a room, describe it, we will role-play it out, and move on to the next room.
- As we move from room to room, I will roll a d20. On an 18, 19, or 20, there will be a "random encounter" - one of which may include Strahd himself.
- The NPCs do have a purpose, I will narrate them out as I see fit based on the encounter, they will give you all some sort of advantage story-wise, but will not fight in combat with you all otherwise.
- Finally, if you die by ANY means in this last part, consider yourself "done" =P No rerolling. This is a "gauntlet" style final chapter, so if you fall victim to Strahd or his evil, you're out. I did it this way so you all will be careful.
OOC: Oh noes! Time for Strahd?! We each gained 12 levels, right? 😛 And we stumbled upon a big pile of magic weapons on the way to the inn as well?
Last to know and first to be blamed...
As a free action, can I regret my life choices?
Yeah, doi! Where's that nat 20 by the way?
So... we're all rolling for random god-killing-treasure encounter, is that what I heard? :) Is that a d20? 12
Also, rolling for hit points: 6
Ha! Ha ha ha... serves me right for being a smartass.

OOC > Kia has two healing potions, but they seem like the sort of thing to save for tomorrow, as it were. She suggests Martha just lick her wounds.

"If anyone is hurting I will be happy to tend to you."
"It will be nice to sleep in an actual bed again, and eat real food. As far as i'm concerned, I have no problem forsaking this town." Stella mentions.
"Sleep well, little one." Ezmerelda warns. "Tomorrow, we face the heart of darkness..I pray this time we will be successful..."
Ireena looks at the two women, but says nothing, contemplating the journey ahead.
"These people seem generally good of heart. We might have a chance." Stella says. "Such a variety of souls. It's been so long."
"I believe the word you are looking for might be "potential."
"Perhaps.."
OOC: “Potential” She says as Grishkar walks into a door repeatedly. Anywho, time for that sweet sweet long rest and then gettin me my sword!

Jitters, the baby one, not Honey Destroyer of Man.
OOC: Revivify still works fine, right?
