Much to your delight, or horror, the walls begins to take a change as you continue down into the darkness of the maze. Who knows what else is trapped or found it's way in here. The walls and the floors begin to appear dirty, then, after a while, they appear to be covered in a sticky, wet, red biomass that starts to appear everywhere. Then you notice the heat. It's warm down here, as if you are walking down the halls of a nightmare. Soon, you reach a large room with a massive organ that looks like a wet, pulsating, writhing kidney is in the center of this room, with four large arteries holding to each wall a person - each of whom look like an adventurer. The arteries appear to be umbilical like in nature, for it is clear they are transporting something inside each organic cord. The floor is covered in a biomass like material, as if organ material could be used as wallpaper, or carpeting.
One appears to look like a Cleric, one a Rogue, one a Barbarian, and one a Sorcerer. They are all asleep, and breathing. In your mind you hear a million voices speaking, more or less, at once, and you each are asked a question. Whether it is coming from the biomass, or one of the assimilated adventurers, you cannot tell. But it stops you dead in your tracks.
"SET WATCH I WAS, BY THE ELEPHANT KING. AND MANY OF MY BROTHERS NOW GONE. THEN THE LIZARDS AND THEIR BOOKS. THEY RULED FOR ONE THOUSAND YEARS. THEN CAME THE MEDUSA. AND BRED A MAZE FROM FLESH AND BONE. THEN THE THREE SISTERS AND THEIR COURT. I HAVE NOT SEEN THE SEA FOR MANY YEARS. NOW YOU COME. ARE YOU THOSE SENT TO END THIS LAND? AS THE ELEPHANT KING PROMISED YOU WOULD?"
“Possibly, what does that mean to you? But first, rewind that a moment. Are you saying that the three sisters, Chronia and the others, came after the Medusa? We heard that the Medusa came after the sisters.”

The Medusa was around much before. The Ministers contacted her to imprison the Triarchy in a maze made of flesh and bone. Strahd seems to know a bit about them. How, is another question entirely.
The Tome describes some information. On page 425.
"Once, there was an Empire ruled by three perfect women. One time would not touch, one was loved, and one who stopped harm. Perfection drives man mad. Beyond its inner court, the Empire was murderous, evil, and insane, but the Sisters at its heart would never age and no one who met them would, or could, ever do them harm. The Empire could not end, only change hands. And so the universe was doomed. The sisters lived in a cosseted, disconnected existence, almost unaware of the horror that occurred outside of their direct presence. Blind, protected, puppet Queens of a nightmare realm. Until, one day, three treasonous Ministers - with rather mixed motives - devised a plan. They would take the sisters to the Maze of the Medusa. The Medusa, Psathyrella, was eons old even so long ago from another space and time. Immortal, clever, cold-hearted, and almost without fear, she could keep the sisters prisoner without being seduced by their various perfections."
So far, you have met Chronia, one of the Triarchy. She possess the complete and total ability to control Time in every and any way.
God knows what would happen if you met Psathyrella, or one of the Ministers.
More or less, yes. The Tome has a bit more detail, obviously. But it looks like this information is true. So far. I didn't think I was going to use this material in this campaign past Rictavio, so I had him give you a preview of it to "test the material". I changed my mind because it's too neat to pass up. So now i'm using it and doesn't make sense that he would know anything about the Triachy, but it's ok, details details, right? Haha. We could pretend he didn't say anything about it, but whatevs, we're all having fun. I think. LOL.
The entity flashes an image in your mind that you dont recognize, nor could comprehend anyways, as you have never been there and didnt know liquid could “flow” in that manner.
"Enough of these riddles!" Kia grates out. "We are here to end Strahd. If he is your jailor, then you will be freed. What good we do along the way we hope to do, but these delays only weaken our strength. Let us pass, that some good may be accomplished."

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
"Kia please do not act to rashly. I hate this place as much as everyone else but we seemed to be forced to play by its rules. The last few rooms have ended in tragedy and I would like not to repeat that once more. Please calm done. We can't risk losing anymore people. Please creature if you will allow to pass safely the let us. If not then what does this room require us to do in order to move on?"
“WE INVITE YOU TO SPREAD YOUR WARMTH IN OUR WOMB.”
The umbilical cords throb and pulsate, and the four captive adventurers wail in horror. One of them retracts and an adventurer crashes to the ground, gets up. The organic tenticle lashes out, slamming Kia against the wall. Kia is paralysed, and the visions you see make a nightmare seem like petting puppies. While Kia is attached and immobile, three portals opens, and what you see on the other side are places you dont immediately recognize, but are different than this place.
Citrina is a fighter. At least, she used to be. Now she is a victim, a horror, of the Maze. She has been forever changed to service a new entity. She creates an enormous longsword made of flesh and bone and stands in front of the three portals.
"THE ELEPHANT KING HAS PROPHESIED YOUR COMING. OUR BIOLOGY YEARNS TO JOIN WITH YOURS."
The portals show three places. You have no idea what area, what planet, or even what reality. Could these places be where the Elephant King came from? Conquered? Or where the Medusa lives? Or maybe home?
KIA
As your current reality ebbs away, you are suddenly taken to another place and time. You're not sure where, when, how - all you can do is witness. You see time and space in a way you've never before. You are taken to a place(?) somewhere in a different cosmos(?) where you see a creature, an entity you can barely understand settle on a landmass(?) to create an empire of lizardmen(?). The landscape is impossibly large, the civilization impossibly vast. You witness it's evolution over millions and millions of years. They are building an archive(?). Books upon books. Distances unimaginable. Then, as you witness the highest pinnacle of this civilization, you are overcome with raw panic and anxiety. The Elephant King senses your consciousness, and it turns to face you.
“So, I guess diplomacy has failed. Anyway, dunno why your guarding that. I have no intention of leaving this place till either Strahd’s dead or I am. Too many people sacrificed for us to get this far. So if you’re going to stand in my way, then I will move you.” And Martha will bring down the Sunsword twice on Kia’s umbilical cord of horror.
FULVIOUS
