"Well, if they seem like bad guys and have interesting stuff, sure, why not?" Vi responds.
If she finds the area leading into the rest of the building silent, she'll look around the room to look for clues as to what happened here, and to see what other goodies might be up for grabs. A couple extra daggers might come in handy.
"We're going to have to do the unpleasant work of looking over all these dead guys too, and see if any match the description of Floon or... Reanar or what was his name? But first, once those turkeys are trussed up, can we wake one up and get some info out of 'em?"
"Sure G," Gorm says, in a slightly hushed tone in case there are others around. "You want to get the weapons and such away from them to make sure they don't wake up and use them."
Gorm doesn't answer about general looting as he's yet to find anything worth pocketing yet so hasn't done so and has nothing to answer for in that regard. "But yeah, you have to check the pockets and such for hidden weapons and clues and such. You never know what may be a clue... Best to be safe."
Once a general and quick look see is done of the entire structure, Gorm will head back to the captured Kenku. "We should maybe wake one up and question them?"
Vi can help with the rope work, while looking around at the scene.
"So what do you think happened here? The snake tat guys are with the Zentarim, right? So who are the other dead ones? Anyone recognize the hand tattoo? Who killed who and why? And does this have anything to do with the search for Floon?"
Jeremiah looks around the room while the Kenku are slowly coming to. The crates in this main room are full of weapons, rations, boots, black uniforms, and other gear. The small closet (Z2) is full of discarded ropes, canvas tarpaulins, and splintered wood from smashed barrels. It smells strongly of sour fish. You hear ragged breathing coming from under a tarpaulin at the north end of the room.
As you lift the tarp, a young red headed man in dirty clothes jump out at you yelling, "You'll pay for tying me up!" He pauses when he realizes the person in front of him is a young child. "Um... who are you? Where are those thugs who brought me here?"
Once he realizes that you are not there to kidnap him again, he introduces himself as Renaer Neverember. The night of his abduction, he had been concered his friend Floon was too intoxicated to find his way home by himself and offered to escort him. The two were jumped by five thugs as they left Fillet Lane and headed north on Zastrow Street. He sits down on the floor and sighs, "This is all my fault. They thought Floon was me. “The Zhentarim thinks that my father embezzled a large amount of gold while he was Open Lord, and that he hid the dragons somewhere in the city. They think they can find it by using an artifact called the Stone of Golorr, which was in the hands of the Xanathar Guild until recently. Apparently, someone stole it. The Zhents thought I knew something about all of this, but I don’t. My father and I haven’t spoken in years.”
"Huh... ok, let's see if I understand this... well, first question, what happened to Floon? Did he get away?" Vi squints, puzzling.
"So you're Renaer. Nice to meetcha. Um, so your dad allegedly stole and stashed gold somewhere in Waterdeep? You don't know anything about it, because, well, family issues. And the Zhents have a magic pet rock?"
Renear replies, "The Xanathar guild took him. After these thugs kidnapped us, they brought us here. A group of Xanathar's thugs attacked this place and slew all the Zhents. I escaped my bindings and hid but they took Floon. I was trying to figure out how to sneak past them to find Floon but you lot got here first. Who are you lot anyways? How did you find me?" He stands up a bit straighter and fixes his shirt. Wiping some of the grim off of his face, he tries to look a bit more noble (it doesn't work very well). As he begins to question you, one of the kenku comes to. Looking around it says in a deep voice with an orcish accent: "Xanathar sends its regards." It then chuckles in a gruff dwarven voice.
Jeremiah - The rest of the first floor does contain a secret door you find (using your first roll for the first floor) inside you find two wooden crates. One contains four wood-framed paintings wrapped in leather. The paintings depict the cities of Luskan, Neverwinter, Silverymoon, and Baldur’s Gate and are worth 75 gp each. The second crate, stolen from a caravan on the High Road, contains fifteen 10-pound silver trade bars, all black from corrosion but still worth 50 gp each. As you open the door you hear a faint bell ringing from upstairs. When you check up stairs you find crates full of junk and a few offices. The offices are filled with dust but you do find in one an unused paper bird.
Guardian turns his head in surprise at the Kenku, not expecting that voice to come out of that body. He gets in the birds face..."Time to answer some questions." He growls.

(OOC posted before seeing the map post)
Vi will also retrieve her rope.

Jeremiah piles all the weapons in a heap using his Mage Hand, acquiring a couple extra daggers in the process...
’We probably want to tie them up a bit?’ he suggests, ‘And maybe look around for clues first - might help with the questioning...’
In particular, Jeremiah sketches copies of the tattoos into the back of his spellbook for future reference...
Guardian will start tying up the Kenku as suggested.
Vi can help with the rope work, while looking around at the scene.

((I did mention that I was tying them up before I looked around the place, but no harm in making them extra tied up!))
(Sorry - missed that you were tying them up at the start!)
Jeremiah will make some notes on the tattoos in the back of his spellbook, especially the one with radiating spoke.
(History roll to see what he might know: 19)
Afterwards he starts the search of the bottom level.
Investigation: 22
Well, I think the kenku are well tied up lol.Let's wake one up and get some answers!
You do not recognize the eye tattoo Jer.
Jeremiah gesture urgently towards the tarpaulin. ‘Someone here!’ he says in a what can best be described as a stage whisper...
He uses his Mage Hand to start pulling the covering back from whoever is hiding, ready to respond to any threats...
As you lift the tarp, a young red headed man in dirty clothes jump out at you yelling, "You'll pay for tying me up!" He pauses when he realizes the person in front of him is a young child. "Um... who are you? Where are those thugs who brought me here?"

Jeremiah wonders if his book has mentioned this ‘Stone of Golorr’ in passing, during his tuition..
Arcana: 13
Jeremiah, you don't recognize the name of the stone.
(I think main question is if Renaer has any idea why the others though Floom was him, where they took him, etc etc etc...)
Jeremiah leaves the others to continue questioning Renaer, while he goes for a little wander upstairs to look for any further clues...
Investigation: 13
(Nope! He's getting hungry, and was distracted by remembering some of the food he stashed earlier, which he starts to eat)

Jeremiah pockets the paper bird, and then investigates the silver bars.
'There's silver up here..' he calls down, 'And paintings'
(How many can he stash in his pack without being too weighed down?)
